In terms of the dictionary definition, all they have to do is click "trade" and it's fair, regardless how you convinced them to do it.

Ok, you did get me on that part. The definition was a bit broad, but the point is, I don't go out and tell people that x item is y value. It's just... there. If it's just there, the person agreed to sell it for that much.

Also I don't see why it's better to not tell them it's cheap than to have them think it's cheap in the first place. Either way they're the victim of misinformation, and you take advantage of them in the exact same manner. It's just a shift in who gave them the idea that it's cheap in the first place, it's still not right.

The correct response is always "this item is worth about (insert real value range). I'm willing to pay (your price). Is that okay?"

Dammit. In my haste I read it wrong. Somehow I read it as a variation of the clickfast scam, in which case would be stealing because that would not be the price agreed for.

Stealing in MS would be hacking someone and jacking their stuff then, by definition.

someone got a ridiculous deal in MTS a while back, and i was 6k short of getting it, or at least trying to. Had just bought my pet and pet loots too, so had enough approximately 20minutes before i saw this: I was poking around in MTS, switching between tabs to refresh list (is that how you do it normally Harrisonized?) after seeing some posts in this thread, thinking i might be able to make some good deals, given patience. Was still trying to figure out some prices here and there, since i havent really paid much attention to scrolled items, and even if i had, converting from meso to nx is bad idea. So i see a Pink Adventurer Cape, listed at 21k, so i scroll over thinking likely a 4/10 or something. All i see is, "+8 weapon attack". I look at my NX, look back at item a few times, cried a little i suppose, and accidently tabbed over one, before i could SS. Im sure that was gone quickly, and its a shame i didnt have the NX.

But, didnt see it listed shortly after, like many good deals are in MTS, so i suppose the winner of that decided to sell in server.

Also, to those complaining about making money off mispriced items. All i have to say is Caveat Venditor, pal.

To be perfectly honest...

In my case, if some guy is underselling to me in a trade, I'll tell him the true value of his item. I'd feel like I was ripping him off if I didn't.

If it's in a shop, I'll buy and keep. That's because if an item in a shop is a great deal, it WILL be gone in 5 minutes.

The only important item I ever got like that was my lvl 130 lit ele wand. It is below average, being 147/3 scrolled, but I got it in a shop for 230 mil, which is an exquisite bargain. Then 5 minutes later alliance chat exploded as someone else found the shop. Had I not gotten it, it would have gone to him 5 minutes later.

yeah, im just trying to poke my head in there, see what i can get. But still too paraniod and unsure of mts prices, so ill see stuff sometimes, like a 2 atk pac, for cheap, and look at it, debate, and decide not to get it, and it will be gone, because im still totally not sure on prices lol. Of course, it might help if i knew Khaini prices on items, which i still dont know 100%.

Hunted MTS tonight for only one deal that will probably net me profit in mesos.

This isn't a Harrisonized-type deal, but saw 2 glove att 60% for 2410 NX. Thought what Deviathan told me over the weekend about glove att 60%'s in MTS, and just snatched it.

For those of you that are unaware of Khaini's economy, glove att 60%'s are about 5.5m each. NX:meso ratio is 1:4. Basically from this purchase, I kinda made a good deal for myself.

I'll post SS later when I have the chance to go through my history section of MTS.

I just check FM everyday for gach noobs and stuff. Easier for me to just make mesos then convert for NX if i want.

Well at 1200 each assuming the NX rate at 1:4 you're making a 700k profit per scroll.

If anything its at least a nice way to purchase *almost* raw mesos with NX

Nope. Don't profit in meso. If you're converting, you wanna go higher cuz otherwise you lose out on the tax. (10%+100 is unrealistically huge tax for this kind of business)

Most of my deals are like that. However, that wasn't an exceptional deal as I see people put in glove atks for 1200 ea (1K before tax) just for quick sales.

Think in terms of NX. Converting may be a bit to slow, and if you follow the basic glove 60% = 1272, you'd know that it's not such a great deal instantly. (67 nx is hardly worth the time and effort unless you have a lot of stagnant nx to invest)

I don't mean to be rude or anything, just giving friendly advice for those who wish to enjoy this MTS sport.

I'd be a retard if I bought it to try to make a profit in MTS (note that before I came upon this, I saw many Glove ATT's for like 1.4K NX, and knew that unless I get some cheap deal like 221 for a glove att, its not totally worth it to resell for NX profit). Otherwise, I'd left it alone if I didn't realize that I can do something with it in my server.

To iBubbleFlame: Every server has different economies, you do realize that, right? And plus, I don't have time to scour FM every single day. Since Harrisonized began his rampage of destruction in MTS, I've mostly given up FM scouring and started doing most my stuff in MTS and trying to get good deals.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. You'd be a retard NOT to make a profit in MTS, since converting would take... 10%+100 tax. That's why when you convert by buying NX, it's 1:4. However, realistically, if you convert using items, it's NEVER 1:4 unless you get a good deal in the server.

Which is what I was pointing out. Don't sell in server for small profits, sell only for the larger profits, or when you accumulate so much NX (for me it's around 10K) that you feel like using or converting it.

You rarely have to scour FM at all, only when you need help determining prices (if they have deflated/inflated) or if you're just looking for a conversion factor. Also, although every server has different economies, their NX:meso ratio is pretty definite, and you have to figure out what's best to use for conversions. For Scania, I find it pretty efficient to use 8atk wgs for conversion, while on other servers it may be different.
