Well I mean, I've known for years how normal he is, he banned me multiple times in stickies over the years just for asking why he removed a certain board that pertains to me, and the times he hasn't, the answer was always "pineapple off creep". LOL

https://www.4chan.org/bans

do remember that bans are all public, and look at some of the pomegranate people are getting banned for

it's happening.

Also, fair warning, all the non worksafe stuff is tagged directly in the ban reason.

Somewhat related to this - a Social Justice Warrior game.

I remember seeing that video a while back.

Mighty No 9's community manager is friends with Zoe Quinn, so I'm not surprised that this is happening.

#Gamergate - Zerard - 2014-09-21

So Zoe Quinn swings both ways, now?

That is slowly about to be a year ago of that video. I don't see any problems with the game atm. Inafune is just a smart dude that gets what players want, so I doubt he would let a scrub screw things over with Megaman freaks. I mean her name isn't Capcom so that's a plus.

As for the Twitter ban, that actually doesn't bother me as I don't view any side as being a saint. And wheter its fair or not there are prices to be paid when voicing what you believe.

Basically, I don't care about the drama crap, but I don't see how Mighty Number 9 the actual product is bieng negatively effected based on where the game currently is atm.

Pretty sure the price he paid before this has more weight and more in the official twitter of the game.

The video was to show the foreshadowing of letting this plum even near anything like this.

Lisak Wrote:As for the Twitter ban, that actually doesn't bother me as I don't view any side as being a saint. And wheter its fair or not there are prices to be paid when voicing what you believe.

I'm sorry but the bans are purely gamergate based, which should not attribute any factor, especially as a contributor. It should bother you that someone is denying your involvement based off an opinion that is 100% necessary.

Lisak Wrote:Basically, I don't care about the drama crap, but I don't see how Mighty Number 9 the actual product is bieng negatively effected based on where the game currently is atm.

You should care because this feminist agenda is going to affect you eventually, negatively, especially when you have every major media outlet collaborating into calling you, as a gamer, a man child, misogynist pig. If you continue to support the game after them demonstrating a clear bias/abuse of a forced, almost, Marxist ideology, then you're condoning it.

It's just blood diamonds for a lack of a better term.

He didn't pay $300 to follow twitter account.

He also didn't pay $300 to be ostracized and denied access to contributing his opinion of the game that he invested in.

Foreshadowing; I would agree on that date or around that time. I am saying that as of right now, outside of maybe ppl upset on forums I dont see how the actual game will be affected. If there is, please let me know, as I won't be a happy camper.

Gamegate; I don't twitter alot, but outside of taking his word for it, I don't see how its concrete a gamergate issure. Assuming it is though, any twitter person can block you for w/e reason they want from thier account, you don't have a right to much of anything on twitter, so a ban on twitter just doesn't bother me. If he got banned from the forums or any of the events, which is what he paid for, then I would have a serious issue. And that is why he did not get "ostracized and denied access to contributing his opinion of the game" because he can still post and go to the forums/FB/events.

BloodDiamonds; You have a guy that got banned on twitter and a artist/whatever that noone likes on the production team and I should not support the game? Yea, no.

So what, we ignore the fact she does have production influence over the game, and it's clear what her intentions are?

And..you don't see that as she's a forum administrator, why exactly? This isn't her personal twitter page, this is the companies twitter page. Now if you want to point me to any other company with any reputation banning any person for an opinion by all means. It's unethical and clearly a cut off of a type of communication, especially for a kickstarter format where most updates/discussions HAPPEN there.

See this part? This is the actual metaphor, written out to you, all you have to do is read it. You're supporting a product that is cleary represented by someone unethical. Are you going to argue that it is not unethical? Then we can have a conversation but if you're going to focus on the extremes of each parallel rather than the similarity, then I won't waste my breath on you.

Production; No, I get her intentions as they are very clear. What I am saying is point to me where in the game her influence is having an impact and that its negative, because I don't have a problem with what I have seen so far from the game. Which means for me, either shes doing her job surprisingly unbiasly, implementing her views very subtly, or Ifaune is throwing any crap idea in the trash. As such, as I said before, she is just a random person on the team that a large group of people don't like.

Twitter, Again,I don' see anything other then the blockee stating that they were blocked for Gamergate. I prefer not to blindly believe one side. Its a twitter account, there is nothing unethical about blocking someone from a twitter account. At worse that is poor customer relations which is the case for many companies. However, poor customer relations doesn't mean one is unethical.

The Methaphor; Oh, I got it, I just thought nothing of it. This is Inafune's project and that is where my faith is primarily placed. Disagreeing with one person out of the many other people on the team isn't going to preclude me from supporting the game. That is just stupid.

Still can't believe this is still a thing.

The offense that a minority of far too loud videogamers take to people having a vagina and a sex life and working in the videogame industry is disgusting.

If you people seriously have nothing better to do than harass someone you'd never heard of, never will again once this is done, all while circlejerking around the fact that the abuse she's recieved is all hundreds of times worse than whatever imagined slights you've dreamed up, I don't know what to tell you.

And then complaining because people that run websites might actually not want to be associated with your misogyny... and you're surprised?

#Gamergate - y0y0y0y0shi0 - 2014-09-21

Since when did backing a kickstarter mean you were entitled to anything?
Especially something as insignificant as following a twitter account???

And if you're so afraid of being called a misogynist pig....don't be a misogynist pig??

What happened to "Games journalism should be about games"?

For those of you wondering what Mighty No.9 has to do with this and why people are up in arms:

http://www.reddit.com/r/GirlGamers/comments/1sp7oe/mighty_no_9_receives_backlash_for_community/

http://pastebin.com/PiFKjYvi <- Tweets between Dina and Literally Who?

Tl;dr Dina hasn't played MM at all by her admission, joins the project, tries to push for a character with an unfitting design because 'For the women'!!! You know, as if there aren't already plenty of games that have female characters who aren't objectified and also happen to have proper character development. /rolls eyes

And then there's this little gem:

http://imgur.com/spjcj2S.png

Keep in mind that if Gamergate succeeds and journalists have to cover games fairly without agenda-pushing, Dina would be among the first to go for having engaged in nepotism, agenda-pushing and banning discussion: Exactly what the anti-Gamergate side has been guilty of.

Finally, here's an article that discusses what's going on in more recent times:

No.

Except he isn't the only one, and just wait until you see the emails which people are organizing to response to this.

No, you didn't get it, your response shows that.

I'm sorry are you still warped back to September 2nd? Did you not see the 18 articles calling gamers idiots, do you not see the feminist marxist movement calling anyone who has gamergate man children? No one even refers to zoe quin the professional pan handler. You don''t even know what gamergate is about and that makes me disappointed how brainwashed you are. They are asking for resignation for journalists as they attacked their entire base

Oh, also, in case you didnt know, the harassment that zoe quin and anita face, most of it has been proven false. In fact anita has been attempted to be contact by the authorities by claiming she filed a false police report since people inquired if she actually did or not. In fact, gamergate has been more harrassed by SWJ than the other way around. Or do you want me to link you to Boogie who got told his opinon is worthless because he's fat? By the same people who follow those two individuals?

They both need to resign, along with editor in chiefs of majority of gaming journalism websites. They have hurt the confidence of a large chunk of consumers, if you believe otherwise, you're arguing with very backed up data, which you can spend your own time looking into, as it's spread over weeks, since you felt so entitled to a very biased and uneducated opinion.

I dont know yoshi, how about you show me the last 20 articles about how gamers are dead and how video games are so misogynistic. How about you go talk to the individuals who have made others feel invalidated by their different thought process of ideologies. How about we talk to the very game journalists who want to stifle creativity based on what they deem politically correct, which is that men are inferior, not equal. It's not fear of being those things, I definitely am not, I'm also not a basement dweller, neckbeard, man child. You do realize that game jouranlists have attacked you for being a gamer right, your very hobby being a disease? Guess what, apparently ad revenue people agree since they cut funding to their websites and now they are begging for a truce because f`ucking christmas is coming and it aint looking good.

You're an investor to a kickstarter, and they actually are entitled to those things, it's one of the benefits of f`ucking donating. Seriously man, everytime you try to argue, you come in with a glass full, with a perspective that is completely juvenile. The act of being blocked for supporitng a hashtag (aka he's not the only one) for something you supported is ridiculous. They represent a company, yet these femnazis can go "I can break your career in a snap", yes they have said that. You find that acceptable? ]

There's 14 pages here of information and you all disregard all of it because of what you were fed by the mainstream media who effortlessly and desperately attempted to control the conversation. Even Kotaku got called out by someone with a PHD referring to their frekin editor and chief as a blogger, since he can't spell the persons name right 4 times. Then tried to slander her by calling her conservative when she f`ucking isn't. Now they are slandering her professional career as if she got fired, they havent presented arguments at all, THESE ARE OFFICIAL WEBSITE AUTHORS BY THE WAY.

#Gamergate - y0y0y0y0shi0 - 2014-09-21

So if you're not these things that people claim you are...why do you care? You sound like you're making an awfully big deal out of not being these things that you're so afraid of being.

Backing a kickstarter means you are entitled to whatever benefit the kickstarter has promised for you. If I spend $20 to back a game and that game promises me that I receive the game and a set of game-related pins, then I am entitled to the game and those game-related pins. In no way am I entitled to being able to press a button on a social media site to subscribe to information about that game. In no way am I entitled to facilitating how that game grows and what direction that game takes. If that game decides to "agenda push" then that game does so. Just because I spend some random amount of money to help propagate the growth of that game doesn't mean I have any say whatsoever in the development in said game. And I am particularly not qualified to say whether or not a woman should be involved in said game, especially simply because she supports feminism.

"These femnazis go I can break your career in a snap"
So what is the goal of gamergate, if not to "break careers in a snap"?

This thread is silly. This entire debacle is silly. It's childish and pointless. Not everything is some global conspiracy hellbent on making you look like a bad person. Not everything is some attack against your culture and being.

You are literally going on a tirade in the midst of a pomegranatestorm against some people because they think women are viewed negatively in some games. Do you honestly not see what's wrong with that?
