Fury - faster and hits 6. Crusher is slower and 3. Spear has advantage for 1v1 and small mobs, but PA is far better at large mobs. You didn't specify anything other than spear > PA, so I called you out on it.

Typically with the new maps it's equal training wise. But I hear TT mobs don't get bigger than 3-4 monsters per. It seems the bigger monsters arent very social and stay in small cliqs Sad

I'm a hybrid and really I just like spear because I'm more of a 1v1 kind of guy rather than 6v6. I was originally a shadower and BS focused on smaller type of mobs so you can see that 'prefered' training was passsed on. And in terms of DPS surprisingly DrK's don't fall that behind.

You're very mistaken. Oblivion 4 is extremely mobby, and with Rush I can gather mobs of 8-10 without much effort. They are small length-wise, which means I lose very little time rushing, and Rush isn't that weak a skill if it's leveled at all. I've had 3 races with roughly equal Spear DrKs, and beat all of them by appx 2-3m exp an hour.

Races in terms of that map or exp per hour in two different maps?

I get decent sized mobs even at Oblivion 2 with no rushing abilities (waiting until I can 6hko with Torpedo to go to 3 and 4). Just figure out a good pattern to cycle the map in and it's excellent solo exp.

Dunno if there's a proper thread for posting training routes...

At Oblivion 2, starting at the warp (bottom centre) I go to the top, run right, climb to that platform (HH), run left, climb the other platform (HH), drop twice, run right (HH), fall off the end, and then go left (HH) and right on the bottom to get back to the warp. The HH just indicates where I use Hammer when available since I hit the most mobs at those points.

Exp per hour in the same map. I've raced in 2 different maps, mostly in Oblivion 4.

Is AC% + 20% + (Orbs-5) x 4% correct?
So for Dawn Warriors it would be 140% + 20% + (10-5) x 4% = 180%?
Can someone tell me?
Erm Russt, you said in Post#224 that the Dawn Warrior's Combo% could be found in the Skill.wz. So assuming what you said was true it is 180% for Dawn Warriors?

So when using Brandish : 230% x 180%(AC) x 120%(Soul Charge default +20%) x 125%(Soul Charge elemental advantage against holy weak mob is +25%, not +50%) x 2hits x 3mobs = 3726% ?
OMG that's a heck load of damage.

Can any kind and experienced forummer clear my doubts?

Correct rite?

This is my route:

I get just over 7m exp/hr.

Sorry I missworded that so badly lol. What I was implying was were you racing O4 vs Skelegons? Or speed at O4 period?

O5 vs O5 and O4 vs O4. At skelegons I can keep up with all but 1hitting Spear DrKs (I 2hit with Crusher, 3hit with Fury)

Well that doesnt surprise me. PA's imo suffer more of the high 12x range (or back before TT came out). Leafre favored crusher but that's only for so long. I think of TT like the new himes for 'slower than average' trainers. Still though PA's really get exp and money because of the time ore drops, so I guess its their time to shine Rolleyes

I mean that 3726% is big but it's not significant in any real way. There's no real use in dealing all that damage to three targets when most of that gets wasted no matter what you do, and you're capped at level 120 anyway.

Say you're bossing. Brandish hits 3, but you're only hitting 1. So you're not dealing the full 3726% damage.

Say you're training. Every time you don't hit 3 monsters when you swing, you're dealing less damage than you could be. Also, every time you deal more damage than you need to kill a monster, damage gets wasted. (If a monster has 100 HP left, it won't matter if you hit it for 100 damage or for 10000.)

So even though you do 3726% damage on paper, most of the time you don't.

Stabbing with a Polearm and Slashing with a Spear result in only the bottom 25% of your damage range being used in calculations.

I'm hoping with this thread (and subsequently with my Fury thread when I do some screenshots of my damage with it) will dispel the "Polearms get a BONUS when slashing and a PENALTY when stabbing" rumors. There is no bonus, no penalty. Instead, it simply only calculates using a piece of your damage range. For PA (slash) and Spear (stab), this appears to be the top 3rd. For PA (stab) and Spear (slash), the bottom. I don't ever want to hear "Polearms get a 1.25 multiplier when slashing" or the like again. It is impossible to hit beyond what your damage range would reflect with the skill, or lower than it would reflect. I do not hit 50k Furies when my range says I can only hit 40k.

I'm not sure what it is you're trying to prove but your DPS is 25669. Not even close.

So in order for Brandish to reach its FULL Potential, it must hit 3 mobs?
Darn it, DW don't have Rush

You're misunderstanding, I think. It will do the same damage regardless of how many monsters it hits. However, at times you may overkill a monster by a lot.

The DPS he was talking about is saying that, if you are fighting 3 monsters, between the 3 of them you will do 37xx%, or appx 1250% per monster per second. THe damage itself will not be any lower or higher, only your TOTAL damage over time.
