Basically, your Blessing skill is no longer set by your Cygnus.
Let's say I have a 150 (regular) character, a 140 (regular) character, and a 120 Cygnus.
The 150 Character will get level 14 blessing, the 140 character and the 120 Cygnus will both get level 15 Blessing.

So basically, it looks like you could now go make a Cygnus, level it to 10, and never touch it again, and your Blessing would be derived from your regular characters. I really hate this change, it just made the entire Cygnus class 100% useless.

Wow that change is SOOOO stupid, it doesn't make sense at all, and what happens if you only have 1 regular character and a Cygnus?

Hopefully, they'll change it so the parent gets the bless from the cygnus, as well as your other characters, and then, your cygnus gets the best blessing from all your characters. (example: You get lv 12 if you have a lv 124 and a lv 78).

That'd make sense. Also, let's not forget it's still on Tespia.

hopefully this change will be left to rot on tespia like the EXP "fix".. >_>

So your main character gets a Blessing 1/10th level of your second highest character on you account...while all the other characters on the account get Blessing based on your main?

*needs to level my second highest char moreTongue*

So apparently, we're "adventurers" now O_o

Adventurers is really lame lol. That's so weird, it doesn't really make sense with only the 2 different groups. I think we may see the Black Magician's disciples soon...

Introducing the ability to play as the villains? That would be extremely radical for MapleStory, but nothing that people wouldn't get in to. I wonder if they would release a whole set of PvP with the Black Magician's disciples.

Cygnus impressions - FelixTM - 2009-03-08

What is up with KMS lately...

If that Cygnus change becomes permanent, I have no reason to play a Cygnus anymore. That change just destroys any desire I have to get one to 120. What's the point? Frickin' retarded.

It would be rather cool to have an Ariant or CPQ style PVP exclusive to the two types, and it makes me wonder if that means they'll do opposites for the Black Magician Disciples.

So:

Ice Wizard vs Flame Wizard (Seems likely, though they could do an unholy Bishop as well.)
Dark Master vs Soul Master (could be either Dragon Knight or White Knight as the dark theme could be made to work for either one.)
Windraider vs Windbreaker (XD I doubt they'd name it that, but who knows.)
Night Cutter or Night Dagger vs Night Walker
Dark Gunner vs Striker

Wait, I don't get it.

IF the new change gets through, what happens if there only 2 characters on the server, a level 110 parent and a level 10 Cygnus. What happen's then? Do both get a level 11 Blessing, or something funky like level 10 Blessing for parent, and level 11 blessing for Cygnus?

Cygnus impressions - DarkestTempest - 2009-03-08

I believe what it means is each one of your character gets blessing off the highest character in your account in that server that isn't the character itself.

That's basically it. Their blessing will be as high as the highest character on the same server besides themselves.

If you had a 110 adventurer and a 10 Cygnus, the Cygnus would get level 11 and the adventurer would get level 1. Same as before.

Ah. You explained it like if the character that is level 110 gives that blessing to all characters on the server, even himself.

How..? O_o I explicitly stated in my example that the highest one wouldn't.

Just checked out this new thing, basically you don't need a parent any more. When you hit "new character", it comes up with that image, and then you pick either Noblesse or Beginner, do your hair/face/etc., then start the game.

Cygnus impressions - ArbalistMaster - 2009-03-08

maybe they thought the idea of having a parent character implied too much sex. lol

at least its nice for those people that have several high level chars on one account

What do those stars mean?

Cygnus impressions - IsaacGS - 2009-03-08

They completely redid everything. There's an ereb "Maple Town" equivalent that you go through now, and get the chair and stuff. You also get haunted by this annoying bird-thing (Think Omochao if you ever played Sonic adventure 1/2) the entire time.

But there's still Ereb, right? D:

I roughly translated the text on there.. but my korean isn't very good and I used google translator for a lot of it lol.

Adventurers

Looking for all freedom seekers, enjoy the time you are an Adventurer!
Travelers and drifters have suddenly appeared. (?)
Without any special purpose, the classic Maple jobs are for those who want to enjoy the world.
Through the former version, you can switch jobs and your career can be different.
They are incomplete and have a weak start.
The more you repeat the adventure, you will become more grown out of it.

Growth Rate, 2 stars
Potential, 2 stars
Freedom, 3 stars
Difficulty, 2 stars
Maximum Level 200

Knights of Cygnus

Empress of the angels! Come fight against the Black Wizard!
This is an elite group of warriors for Empress Cygnus.
They were born to protect the men from the Maple World from the Black Wizard.
Because they have special skills and articles, rapid growth is possible.
Their level growth is relatively low.
At the same levels, they are more powerful than anyone else.

Growth Rate, 3 stars
Potential, 1 star
Freedom, 2 stars
Difficulty, 1 star
Maximum Level, 120

anyone who's fluent in korean, feel free to correct any of that..

that actually sounds like a somewhat decent addition.. I just hope they'll have some way for the cygnus characters who didn't get a chair to get one now, like the person in aqua road when the relaxer came out.
