Oh right, I didn't. Doesn't matter. Nintendo don't have to offer you anything for buying their products (which are already generally cheaper than the competition): Not a single other company does in the industry. Going Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh, this free wstuff ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH makes you sound far too entitled. (Yes, I'm aware that I'm an expert on acting like a whiny entitled pimento) Quote:I like the posters, admittedly, but I still feel as though there's nothing that actually stands out. Not to mention the gold prizes offering digital downloads... Just my personal opinion. My only actual gripe for this year specifically is there's no year of luigi item... I was hoping for a luigi cap. Or what, you'd prefer them to add nothing? They added digital downloads to give more choice: Before the Dsi/Wii U shops allowed them to do those digital downloads, all gold members got calenders with no choice and that was it. Now they give people who don't want a calender an option. Dark Link Wrote:I can't remember last year's plat rewards. All I know is I like the Skyward Sword posters and the Platinum playing cards. Last years was the platinum playing cards. Year before was the mario pin set, and the year before that was the Mario figurine. Yes, I keep track because I'm jealous of what europe doesn't get. 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - iamflip - 2013-07-16 Excuse me Justin, but are you belittling the value of the Majora's Mask OST? A really good amount of people would kill for that.
3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Dark Link - 2013-07-16 I'd only get the OST for the little things like the cover case, but that's pretty much it. I already have the complete OST on my computer, unless there's secret songs on the CD itself. I'm a sucker for special edition posters. 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Justin - 2013-07-16 iamflip Wrote:Excuse me Justin, but are you belittling the value of the Majora's Mask OST? A really good amount of people would kill for that. The music on the disc itself is easily found and downloaded. It's decent from a collector's standpoint, but it's still dwarfed by the posters, at least. 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - 案山子 - 2013-07-17 iamflip Wrote:Excuse me @Justin, but are you belittling the value of the Majora's Mask OST? Just do it. 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Secun - 2013-07-17 The lack of Shin Megami Tensei IV talk from you guys is really surprising me. 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Lozmaster - 2013-08-06 That ace attorney whale DLC is confirmed to be coming out in the west. Some other, "quiz" dlc apparently isn't though. Finshed Mario and Luigi 4. ~33 hours to get everything. The game was good, but perhaps stretched on 5 hours too long. If they had stopped giving pineappleing tutorials for obvious things even 20+ hours in, and scrapped the 2nd from last area, it would have been perfect. Still, it's so much better than paper mario: Sticker star. Also, nintendo direct time! Every time they put a new video out it makes me hyped for this game all over again. 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Niernen - 2013-08-12 What did you guys get for you rank bonus in M&LDT? The bonuses are: Gear Slot +1 Increases your apparel/gear slots, letting you equip an extra piece of gear. Badge Stock +1 Adds an addition badge effect stock (those circular panels on the touch screen that you tap to activate the badge effect). HP Up+ Gives you 2 more HP every time you level up. POW Up+ Gives you an extra 1 POW every time you level up BP Up+ Gives you an extra 1 BP every time you level up. Quick Level Gives you 20% more EXP from enemies. Iron Body Reduces damage received by 25%. Requires Flower Rank or higher. Jump Man Boosts power of solo jumps to 125% of what they normally are. Requires Flower Rank or higher. Hammerhead Boosts power of solo hammer attacks to 125% of what they normally are. Requires Flower Rank or higher. Counterer Boosts your counter attack power to 150% of what it'd be normally. Requires Flower Rank or higher. Shroom EXP Makes Mushrooms give you EXP as well. Requires Star Rank or higher. Big Lucky Boosts power of Lucky Hits so they do double normal damage. Requires Star Rank or higher. Casual Bros Makes Bros/Luiginary Attacks cost half what they normally do. Quick Healer Makes restoration items restore twice what they normally do. Requires Star Rank or higher. Quick Level, Jump Man, and Hammerhead can all be replicated with items (although I dont know if the effects would stack). POW Up+, BP Up+, HP UP+ will give you a great stat bonuses long run if you get them, but if you get the wellington boots, you could theoretically farm infinite beans, and possibly get 999 stat Gear +1 can easily make you OP with an extra two gear slots (and you really limit yourself without them). Casual Bros and quick heal allow you to use more bro/luiginary attacks, and quick heal (obviously) makes healing much more effective. That would leave you with 2 slots left. Iron body reduces damage and can not be replicated with items. The last i guess would be up to the player. I wouldnt get shroom exp as i try not to use too many items unless i need to, so i would get little exp from it, and counter is fairly useless. Badge slot +1 would let you store extra effects for boss fights, while big lucky doubles your damage with lucky hits (you need a high stache stat for it to be effective). Can anyone post thier build, what they did and thier reasoning? Thanks! 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Lozmaster - 2013-08-12 Niernen Wrote:What did you guys get for you rank bonus in M&LDT? Mario: HP+, BP+, + Gear +, Gear+, Iron Body Mario needs the extra BP and HP because those two stats are more important for him in the dream world than they are for luigi. Gear+ is the most overpowered boost once you start getting your hands on pow DX gloves/Scarfs. Luigi: Pow+, HP+, Gear + , Gear+ , Iron Body. Pow+ because Luigis star rocket bro attack is ridiculously overpowered against the final boss. Jump/Hammerhead/Counter boosts aren't that great because they don't affect bros attacks. By the time you reach the third rank up, you're probably not going to get that much of a boost out of the stat ups, even if you go for the third one. Badge stocks not really worth it because the best badges take forever to charge anyway. And you can really choose any of Iron body/Big Lucky/Casual bros/Quick healer for your last upgrade, I just liked the +25% defense more than the others. 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Remoir - 2013-08-12 i went like Quick Level Gear Slot Iron Body Gear Slot Casual Bros. Worked out fine for me 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - 案山子 - 2013-08-13 Secun Wrote: It's bothering me that so many people keep pomegranateting on the graphics for it when they don't even realize that they're all watching stretched footage. Youtube's player is like 2x+ larger than the actual 3DS's screen, what the pineapple do you people expect...? There's one video from last year that resized the footage so it looks like it should, at least more or less, but every other video and screenshot is going to be stretched. Even Nintendo does that to their own games -- it's kind of ridiculous that companies don't realize they're making their games look worse than they actually are. Can't wait for 4 though, seriously. Going to be a blast finally being able to play online, and those new weapons and mechanics look so damn delicious.

If you have tri Ultimate is it worth getting 4? tri ultimate already has a lot of content in it. Kinda wish they made this one for wii U. 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - MariettaRC - 2013-08-16 I'm missing out on so much, it's ridiculous. Last time I got Club Nintendo awards was two years ago, and that was thanks to my lady giving me all of her game's codes for points. ;_; My main question with M&L4: The BP system. Are they still doing the item use? One thing I will always love from the first game over the other two is the Bros. Attacks. They were difficult to land until you got used to the commands, but they were a creative asset to the game. The BP items/attacks in the last two games were okay, but never gave me the same feel that Bros. Attacks gave of landing successful combos. I won't really complain if they completely abandoned Bros. Attacks in this game too, I just really miss it.

I'm no Hunter veteran by any means, I've only had Ultimate myself for a couple weeks or so and it's my first Hunter game ever but 4 is looking REALLY awesome to me. 4 looks like it's going to be considered the very best Hunter ever made so far. I mean Ultimate is still just a port of a past game with some added extras and whatnot where 4 is a legit sequel with tons of unique content since it isn't a port. I love the differing terrain I've seen from footage which you AND monsters can utilize during combat. They revamped the climbing mechanics to make them better for these changes. The ability to get on the backs of monsters to basically do to them what they do to you: pin you down and beat you up. Two new weapon types. Everything looks just great. Plus I don't think it'll have any underwater combat whatsoever which that alone I thank god for cause underwater combat, as nice of a novelty that it is, is rage-inducing in bigger battles. Also, this one will have online play unlike Ultimate for 3DS.Here's some basic combat with the two new weapons: I think the reason they chose 3DS exclusively is because from my understanding is that Hunter does really well on portable platforms since it was essentially the biggest system seller for PSPs in Japan. It's made for the Japanese market first in mind because that's where the franchise makes most of its profit. 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Niernen - 2013-08-16 MariaColette Wrote:I'm missing out on so much, it's ridiculous. The only game that didnt use Bros attack/BP wasM&LPiT, they used items, M&LBiS and M&LDT both use bros attack. Dream team has Mario have Different attacks from luigi (red vs green shell first). Marios are more 1v1 and hammer based, Luigis are more boots. In the Dream world there are Luiginary attacks instead, which only use Mario's BP (so he needs a higher BP). The Luiginary attacks use montion controls and tons of luigis and are harder to pull of IMO. (that trampoline from PiT was OP as pineapple, would easily 1hko almost anything if you were good enough since it technically can last 4ever). 3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - MariettaRC - 2013-08-16 Niernen Wrote:I never signed up fro club Nintendo after the switched from the older one, i really should, i have a ton of codes. Attacks, I meant where they used their jump and hammer to deal combos and had attacks added on as you mastered them. Only the first game had this, while the others had them in the form of objects (with PiT actually being items). I like the sound of that, though. |
