If you got an assist or something to that effect, it refreshed the cooldown. Or it was if you killed them, even with AA, it refreshed. Now the ult has to do the killing blow.
It's an okay nerf but I'd rather see it not reduced at all, or reduced to like 2, 5 sec or maybe 50%, or just something else. It can chunk for 400-500+ sometimes and if they kill and just keep using it, it's stupidly OP. I had 3 separate game idiot darius's just now and we only won because of their ult. The worst one was one that went bot with the AD carry so I had to go top with the tank [singed] when i was playing support [soraka]. After 15min when he B'd/died, i yelled at him to go top and he finally did. When we were fighting inhibitors, he thought it would be a good time to solo dragon. He would just go in fights 1v3, take lots of damage, and just kill them all with his passive + ult

No the problem was he had a half second period where ANYONE could make the kill and it would refresh his silly ultimate.
He took 0 skill and had all the rewards it was pretty lame.

Pretty much, his 1v1v2v3 will be mostly unafected, but in team fights the darius must now be more careful with his calculations and keeping check of how many stacks of hemo the enemy have before using his Ult or that will be the only time he will use it in the team fight where everything usually becomes a clusterfuck of people using skills everywhere.

That's still the case with the change, the only difference is the Darius player now has to wait until the last possible second to Ult, instead of just Ulting whenever he feels like it.

No no no, the 0 skill part was the fact that he didn't have to be the one to get the killing blow to reset it. That made him pure easy mode.
