NexonKR's new high level area may not be a great as we expect it to be, but we should get it by the end of the year, and it should be something. We just have to be patient, the game's not going anywhere.

It's only stupid if you get your hopes up for things we aren't promised. Otherwise, nope you're right, Maple has a big year ahead. It's too bad Nexon runs the game like a shady basement operation or some of it might actually get me to play again.

MrYanDao leveled to 200 at Squids(or was it Gobies?), FangBlade leveled at Skelegons, etc. You guys have PLENTY OF OPTIONS to train... time temple, squids, gobies, skelegons, newties... You are complaining just because you have to wait a couple more months for a new place that is NOT needed at all to complete the game? I didn't complain when I had to train at the same maps that are available right now and what level am I? It was pretty damn fast, too.
While I agree that that's not a good argument, if only because Neo Tokyo doesn't have any good training spots (thus no reason why people would want Neo Tokyo for its non-boss monsters). But I disagree with your philosophy of "What we have is adequate for the goal at hand (level 200), so there's no reason to get/ask for/expect any new stuff ever."

ground? all i am saying that ppl are making too much mess out of this and it's better without it but maybe you like ppl complaining all the time...

RAGE AHOy - AltCtrlDlt - 2010-02-17

I don't understand everyone. Honestly, complaining isn't going to do anything. Nexon doesn't care, what's done is done. They aren't going to magically just decide that Neo Tokyo is better than Neo City and implement that instead. Really, if you don't like the way Nexon is running the show, then you don't have to play.

Besides, Nexon Korea already stated they are going to most likely add a new area for high-leveled people. What more do you want? I'm sure that we'll get it about 3-5 months later, and then hopefully that will be enough to appease the higher-level player base. Last resort, you can always make a new character. A new class you haven't played yet. Who knows, maybe it will be a class you actually enjoy playing more than your own.

Nexon caters to the low-leveled player-base for a reason: It's the majority. The higher-leveled population is still, unfortunately, the minority. Granted it has sky-rocketed in the past year or so, but it still hasn't reached the number lower-levels are at. And as far as I am aware, the high-level people still continue to pump out their cash for NX, despite the fact that they aren't satisfied with Nexon. Nexon knows this too: they know that if you have spent this much time and money on this game, that you aren't going anywhere.

I see lots of unhappy players in this thread, i must ask, can you just make another character for these areas? I realize you have your high level 150+ whatever, but when you stack 2X/4X cards with 2X events and 2X family buffs AND leech your way to those levels you need to do four things...

1)shut
2)the
3)F
4)up!

Those that do that only have themselves to blame for lack of things to do, it's not nexons fault you have lack of foresight, you reached those levels to do what? go bossing? You have plenty of challenging bosses! Have fun with friends? Looks like you're having loads of fun in your 15 to 20 maps while everyone has 100+ maps to party hearty in! Oh what's that? You aren't having fun with your buddies in those 15 to 20 maps? Your fault entirely and not nexons.

I'm pretty sure many of the higher levels that play now don't understand what grinding means, grinding as in 1X exp rates and training on your own, spending levels 60 to 80 on zombies, 100 to 120 on gobies and 120 to 150 on himes and grim phantom watches, nowdays it's just leeching on BF or anego, gallos and winding up high level with much less to do than if you had trained yourself.

Yep! It's entirely the customer's fault for the company not releasing a fair, balanced amount of things to do for the whole community. It's the customer's fault that better things aren't made or released! Blame the customers for bad coding, missing things, and lack of things to do. It's the customer's fault! Ban them!

What cruddas is saying is that if you run ahead of your family to get to the car and it's locked then you'd better expect to stand outside until they get there. While I do agree with this logic partially, it's also true that this game has been running for almost 5 years and they should be making more high leveled content by now and alot of that 2x people used was provided by Nexon. So it's more like they're the irresponsible dad who eggs his kids on to go run ahead and stands back laughing when they're locked out.

RAGE AHOy - Homerowed - 2010-02-17

Ill take 3x cards over Neo toyko. They are coming out with those right?

RAGE AHOy - street - 2010-02-17

Well with nexon new notice it talks about needing a special ticket a small ray of hope. Also in a sense we are paying to get in to neo city cause you need to gach for the erasers. Unless you only need one eraser and stump is very common.
nexon Wrote:You can trade these in to Andy in Neo City for a Time Traveler’s Free Pass! The Free Pass will allow you to use the Time Gate to hit Neo City high-level maps that usually require you to engage in a quest to explore!

Reading spadow blog regarding neo city the only option to getting in requires a party member.

Quote: * You can enter Neo City through Tera Forest in Minar Forest: East Border.
* Level 70 or up can enter.
* To enter, you need a party of two people or more.
* When the party disbands, you will be kicked out.

We will have to wait until patch day to see what we are getting.

Lol...I think I was 15x before I even touched my first 2x card. And as for tons of challenging bosses, PB is the only challenge. HT is a dramafest in most servers, due to the propagation of dc hacks (Also a great Nexon moment being unbale to patch it).

I've been waiting quite patiently I think since the release of CWKPQ for a sliver of higher level content. I have to admit, CWKPQ was great, but it's been almost a year...The main reason I didn't quit, is while they were not releasing Kaede Castle/neo tokyo, it did not mean they were never going to be relased. With this addition, it wipes out the hope for any of what I thought was a rich content area.

If there is nothing to look forward to, I don't really see the point of playing and leveling.

If nexon wants to proove me wrong, I'll glady eat my words.

Cygnus Knights - The ability to get Blessing
The Secret Agent Event - Introduced some pretty fun equips, the best of all being the earrings
Malaysia - Scarlion and Targa Helms

You tried hard, props. Now should it be my turn to list the things made specifically for xx level people, things that, strangely, nobody even knows about anymore? Yeah, it's totally outrageous to ask for something originally intended to be ours, but had to be made a joke, a pathetic joke, out of.

You don't talk about leeching on SP, mate, that's not very different from having sex in the confession booth. And personally, I've got to 14x before Family Rep was introduced. 2x card? Hah. The only traditional thing I haven't trained on is SquidPT, which was the specialty of ranged people anyway. Try again.
I don't know how proud you are of your outdated training style, but we're not asking for contents for ourselves, who presumably in your view do not deserve those contents.

Again, just because only FIVE F'UCKING PERCENT of the population can make use of Neo Tokyo does not promptly kick the rest of the world in the balls.

Temple of Time - New Training areas for certain classes Temple of time isn't all that great for training. It's not as good as skelegons IMO
Maker - The ability to upgrade to Reverse equips Ok, I agree with you there. Maker is tremendously useful
Mu Lung Dojo - Belts (Also the Witch Belt Event, I guess) Mu lung dojo was awesome...for about a week before it became tedious. It doesn't get much use with the release of attack belts. The witch belt event was a huge failure if you ask me.
Cygnus Knights - The ability to get Blessing They changed the system which essentially made cygnus knights useless for many. Why make a knight when I can leech an adventurer to 15x+ for better blessing?
The Secret Agent Event - Introduced some pretty fun equips, the best of all being the earrings Unfortunately the event was not permanent. In which case it hardly counts
Malaysia - Scarlion and Targa Helms Ok, I'll give you that as well. Scar and Targa are pretty fun to fight.

I agree with some of your points but disagree with others. The problem a lot of us have is that they took something intended for end game level players and nerfed it for piss ant lvl 80's to enjoy. We were looking forward to the challange of Neo Tokyo. So what if half of us would die as soon as we walk in? I'm sure many of us haven't had the thrill of near death experiences while exploring in several months, perhaps years.

I for one just don't see why the low level crowd need yet more additional content catered to them. I highly doubt there are many level 50 players who are going to go out of their way to try out all 5 of the party quests available for their level, let alone explore the several dozen maps and towns in the game that suit their level. If anything they're likely to post yet another "Hey where do I train at x level" thread to get to 4th as fast as they can. In case Nexon hasn't noticed, there are many areas in the game that have become ghost towns. A quick show of hands please. How many of you even remember Omega Sector? What about Korean Folk? My point exactly.

There isn't much variety as far as end game level activity goes in MapleStory. Two training locations, a single PQ, and a few bosses. That's not even counting the fact that the majority of those bosses have so much drama and corruption tied to them that they're inaccessible to the majority of the community. The only challenging boss left at end game level requires at least a week of hunting for exceedingly rare etc drops.

Anyone care to wager how long it will take for Neo City to become just as empty as Omega Sector?

RAGE AHOy - Conciente - 2010-02-18

You were not supposed to know that Neo City was once Neo Tokyo and had all those "amazing" bosses, etc. See it from that perspective and you will be happy forever.

Just like how you're not supposed to know about new apple products before they're released right?

Nowhere does it say you aren't allowed to know about content releases of other versions.

o A suspicious wanderer has arrived in Maple World and he has brought bad news about the future of Maple World. It seems he has left clues as to the location of his whereabouts. Talk to Han the Broker in Magatia to get started.

o A new winged dungeon with quests for characters level 70 and higher has been added.

I thought the one through magatia was neo tokyo? or am i mixing them up?
