Even though, at level 24, I STILL CAN'T FREAKING GET DRAGON'S NEST ON KINGS. SERIOUSLY. I'VE DONE IT 50 MILLION TIMES, NEVER GETTING HIT AND COMPLETING EVERY SINGLE ROOM, AND EVERY TIME I GET A FREAKING A. A FREAKING 75/140 EVERY SINGLE TIME.

DFO in windowed mode? Derp?
How the....?

Oh, didn't notice it said I have to do it alone. Oh well, at least Greg says it will be easy.

Actually, savor this. There are 3 more escort quests down the road and each one the escortee gets exponentially stupider. And GSD has 126 bars of health. The last one you need to do on 3 different roads and he's a complete idiot. He steyrs once and walks in to the enemies' faces and tries to tank hits and inevitably fails. Your reward for that hellish series of quests? You get to summon him once a day to watch him die.

I'll be doing homework and I'll check back in this thread every 15 minutes or so. Just give me a notice when you'll be free.

Eh, I'll be back at like.. 4 p.m. PST or something. Going out to buy running shoes and track spikes.

Now I'm in the same boat as Yoshi. Trying to unlock King's Road is hard.

G.S.D. makes all the Sky Tower dungeons you escort him in a complete joke. Just go make a sandwich whenever you enter a new room. G.S.D is level 84; he won't die no matter how hard you try, not even on King's.

*Tip on getting King's unlocked: You need to mix up your attacks. Here's a quote from the DFO World Wiki site:

So for you, stuff like BBQ should give you easy Style points, and your most powerful one-hit attacks (I'm guessing Mach Kick) should help you rack up Tech points.

Ooh, thanks for that.
So it seems as if my best bet is to get in a group, since I always seem to be low on Style points.

Is there anything that says what documents each rank? Like, what score out of 140 = Each rank.

Not really. The gist of it is simply High Style + High Tech + Not getting hit so often = A-S rank, and SS/SSS rank is either getting hit a few times only or never getting hit.

Just nitpicking: BBQ does not give Style points.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - mrcowcow - 2010-02-16

Doesn't it help rack up combos though? = Style D:

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Dual - 2010-02-16

BBQ sure as hell gives me style points.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Holypie - 2010-02-16

But not aerials. What classes are you anyways? We need to know that to help give you advice. Also, my friend came up with a manual BBQ that it Jackspike->Rising Shot->Gatling up. The mosters FLY across the room and you get style points. Another way is to chain BBQ into a Steyr AMR. Or just use flamethrower on a tightly packed mob to rack up combos.

Wait... is this pre-advancement Gunner or after advancement? I have experience with pre-advancement, Spitfires, and Rangers. o_o

I'm a Ranger. I'm only level 20, and now I'm stuck trying to beat pineappleing Puppet Museum with an S rank. This pomegranate is impossible.

I've got:
5 Jack Spike
10 Rising Shot
5 Whirlwind
3 Mach Kick
1 Aerial Fire
1 Punisher
1 Silver Bullet
1 G-14 Buster
1 Gatling
1 BBQ
And Backstep and Cancel Backstep <- Best Skill Ever

Also, thanks to Infection for helping me through the Dragon's Nest.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Holypie - 2010-02-16

Do the steal skill quest and get a point in Steyr AMR. Best skill ever. Also you could use rising shot xxxxx(or however many there are) repeat for some style.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Dyxanije - 2010-02-16

mrcowcow Wrote:Doesn't it help rack up combos though? = Style D:

Yeah, my bad, I forgot to account for BBQ's number of hits, I kept on thinking it doesn't give Style since it dose not count for an aerial.

Puppet Museum sucks for Gunners. If you get too many hits, you can kill yourself when the boss is nearly dead and revive yourself with a token to reset your number of hits. Otherwise just keep everything airborne and spam Backstep.

So, anyone up for doing the "1-man party" aka "4-man party, then 3 people leave before the boss dies" quest?

If anyone has gunner cast speed hair or hat, I want to buy it.

That quest sounds like such a pain. Do you have to leave during the fight with Mcgee or would leaving before Rocketman dies work too?
