Original Dragon Nest Thread - 案山子 - 2011-12-25 Flail users are by far the most popular in Gerrant, at least from what I've seen when I played more. Flail is more offensive, with more crit if I remember correctly, and had a tad better handling with mobs. And you're right, most Paladin attacks are magic-based, even if you go ''physical''. The ''physical'' branch is actually just more defensive, not offensive. Offensive branch is the magic one. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-12-25 i'm guessing that would be good on a shield? Because I got the same thing on a shield Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-12-25 Rick Wrote:What b'itch, I just got to level 34 and no more story until level 40? This is annoying. Yeah, doing the story quests alone won't bring you up to 40. There are way more sidequests now, though. Lots more. I know there's this insanely long sidequest chain involving a Dark Elf starting at level 36 (and by insanely long, expect to visit Dying City Gates at least 10 times). The thing about the quests in this game is that I think the main story assumes that you've already cleared all of the sidequests before the level of the main quest beforehand. For example, when you fight Elena, this hobgoblin and a poochum show up halfway to help you. That hobgoblin is actually Old Gobbus from the Gobfather sidequest chain earlier on. I also ended up spoiling myself regarding that Man of Mystery that shows up during the sidequest chain with that girl and her Chickie, and... Yeah. Let's just say that he becomes really important during the next level cap. You also figure out Chickie's identity at the end of the chain, in which it makes sense how a certain character suddenly reappears at the end of the main quests at our current cap. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-12-25 I was close on guessing who chickie was sorta lol Original Dragon Nest Thread - Kevin - 2011-12-25 Story suddenly became awesome, if a bit depressing. And Hellfire makes everything die really fast. Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-12-25 Jon, did you quit completely now then? `-` Original Dragon Nest Thread - Tikey - 2011-12-25 Rawr. Almost level 38. Thinking what my level 40 gear is going to be. I'll probably end up stacking Final Attack and Paralyze. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-12-26 YAH BABY!! So happy right now. I found a guy who would sell me a diamond spark for 300g and bought a lvl40 neck in the market for 1k. Got hella lucky lol. I got strength/vit/hp on it ![]()
Spoiler
Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-12-26 Jesus, your attack range is nuts. Thinking about converting to Vitality/Tank build on my Priest. Will ditch my Windswept and Fierce plates for Adorned and Sturdy. I want to try getting to at least 50k HP now. Currently at 34.5k HP. I'm in serious need of upgrading my earrings and necklace, hahaha. (Still using the Wise earrings and necklaces from Minotaur Nest which give like 60-70 Intellect each. Anyone know the exact Vitality:HP ratio?) Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-12-26 i thought it was 1 vit = 30 hp . There's a conversion thing on dnestsource I think Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-12-26 Why would you need even more HP? If you lose out on all your matk, your AoH won't be as effective anymore :| Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-12-26 Because I have insane dreams of going off to fight Sea Dragon without dying. And even then, 50k HP probably isn't even enough. >_> My magic range right now is something like 2450 max. I figure that's enough for now since Priest DPS is lol enough, and I still have yet to get an epic shield to craft Life-Giving on. If I switch to level 40 Vitality earrings and necklaces (hopefully with some Intellect on the side to minimize the loss of magic attack), I'll probably lose only about 100 magic attack, which is worth it if I end up getting like 10k+ HP in exchange. Hell, I need to upgrade my rings too, I'm still using level 20-something rare rank rings. Upgrading those will probably offset whatever I lose from converting my earrings and necklace to Vitality. I also gotta work on enhancing my armor to +10 or above. I got my rare 40 shirt to +9 once, and upon seeing that upgrading it to +10 would add an additional 1k HP and MP (I think it was something like 5k HP and MP total), it blew. Now I can't seem to get past +8 on any piece of armor, which is a shame because my current +8 shirt has a potential of +6.50% HP/MP and I have no plans to blow that one up. Also, Aura of Healing is precentage-based off everyone's max HP, and nothing about it runs off of your magic attack. You're probably thinking of Healing Relic and Holy Shield. Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-12-26 Oh whoops, yeah that's right. Healing relic. My bad. EDIT: Oh yeah, so was the +12 geode for sorcs the "off-hand" (ie. orb / puppet / grimoire) or "main" (staff)? Original Dragon Nest Thread - Tikey - 2011-12-26 Orb, puppet, grimoire. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Flonne - 2011-12-26 Quick question, is there a guide on what items are worth in this game? There are so many freakin' drops and I never know what to save and what to keep. My character is only level 21 and I was only leveling it for the "hat trick" event, but Mystic actually started getting kind of fun so I decided to stick with it a while longer. I assume the epic stuff is always going to be worth something, but as for the rest, I've just been NPCing everything...LOL. Original Dragon Nest Thread - 案山子 - 2011-12-26 EarthAdept2 Wrote:Jon, did you quit completely now then? `-` No, but I haven't had much time to get on. I'm barely at about 40% of Lv32. I would like to play more; I was one of the ones really looking forward to 40 cap, but I just don't have as much time at the moment.
Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-12-26 Feels weird to hear that you don't have time considering you were the first to hit 32 out of all of us xd. @Flonne: Just look at that marketplace for prices. Normal etc (like loincloth) is always useless. Lustre fragments (not to be confused with crude) are useless. Check market for crest prices. Keep magic sparks that you plan to use otherwise npc (I tend to keep one stack with me at all times and npc everything else). Rare sparks can be sold on market if you so choose. Low level equipment you can waste by trying to blow it up through enhancing. +8s can sell on the market for a little money. Normal rarity rings are useless. Most magic rarity rings are useless. Uh. Yeah. What server are you on? There's probably a couple people that can help you. Too much going on for me this past month to get the time to play as much as I was before. I would love to reach Lv40 on my entire account before you guys get even two of your characters to Lv40, but I just can't!

Guess I won't be selling anything that's bound, hah. I assume the game gets much harder in a bit, but currently I'm using all +0 crap and I've solo'd every single mission with the option up til now on Abyss level, aside from one that jumped from up like 9 levels on the rec level from master->abyss and I decided I'd probably get facerolled on that. Oh, and I'm on Gerrant, to your last question. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Flonne - 2011-12-26 . |
