Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Mazz - 2014-09-12 Justin; Mega Man is the character I've played the least so far, so I am pretty terrible with him anyway xD Pocketing everything with Villager is so much fun. You can pocket map hazard items like the Bumper when they're about to time out and throw them out again to reset the timer. Level 2 Link managed to kill himself about 7 times without me even doing anything. Also, for anyone struggling with the controls, you can enter a kind of training mode instead of timing out in Battlefield every 2 minutes: To use training mode you have to go to Smash > Group > Host Game > Anyone, then select 1-3 CPU characters and hit start and you'll be sent to a training type room with Sandbag with no timer. I've been chilling in there for the past 15 minutes testing stuff out and trying to get used to the controls haha Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - OrionTempest - 2014-09-12 Locked Wrote:I called dibs. Apparently people are paying upwards of $30-50 on eBay for the codes already. ![]() OT: Platinum for the last 3 years and nothing yet. The account's on my spam email though, and I'm not 100% sure if it's opted in for Nintendo emails.
Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Link - 2014-09-12 Villager is such a troll character. Hilarious and fun to play. Pikachu is also very fun to play. Mario feels a little better than his previous iterations. Megaman is just, in my opinion, the worst character of the demo. His actions just are weird to me. I'm pretty sure this is only because I don't know how to use him, but he's my least favorite. Link is my favorite, of course. Edit : I just got this e-mail from Nintendo support. The 1pm thing was a lie. Nintendo Support Wrote:Thanks for contacting us. Regarding the special demo of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, we are still sending out the emails containing the codes and likely will continue doing so for several more hours. If you're confident you meet the requirements but didn't get your download codes, please continue checking your email in-box and/or Spam filter. We apologize for the wait. I also just got 4 codes. I need to think about what to do with them before sending anyone any. Feel free to ask, though I can't promise anyone any. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Blake - 2014-09-12 If you do decide to give them out, I'd definitely like one. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - OrionTempest - 2014-09-12 Turns out I forgot to opt in for emails, which had to be done by the 8th. Luckily my friend had an extra code. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Lamato - 2014-09-12 Ok so after finally scouring the internets, I finally got a working code thanks to a certain anon. From what I've played so far, Pikachu is the easiest to combo with for me personally. Pivot grabs and performing reverse momentums with projectiles (Pikachu's thundershock, Mario's fireball, etc.) are still present from Brawl (thank god). Also, I'm able to do the little run on the very edge of the stage without falling off trick from brawl, lmfao. utilt > grab > mixup seems to be easy to pull off... Reminds me of playing Kirby from Brawl since his utilt mixups were amazingly fun and reliable. Man for a demo, this has gotten me more hyped for the 3DS version. Edit: Tried doing ibomb (air dodging + bomb drop at the same time) with Link and it doesn't seem you can pull it off Edit 2: You can also still instant throw items (Hold shield midair + Direction you want thrown + A while over a throwable item) <- probably common knowledge but I thought I'd throw that in since most people don't usually do it. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Netto - 2014-09-12 Hnnnngggg, I have to play this. But I don't want to ask for a code ;~; Screw it. If anyone is generous to give me a code, I'd be honored! Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Kevo - 2014-09-12 Seems like the demo coming out next week only allows to game to be "opened" 30 times as opposed to unlimited tries for the version obtained through a Platinum status code. http://www.nintendo.com/whatsnew/detail/fdIU6QLvLVCAfxYMuOo5OPT30dqbSit5 Not sure if it's a big deal, but I guess it's interesting to know. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Polantaris - 2014-09-12 Link Wrote:Villager is such a troll character. Hilarious and fun to play. This is similar to how I felt when I checked out the demo. Piakchu, Link and Mario all feel fun to play and not too different from how they were in earlier incarnations, although to be fair I never used Pikachu all that much so I can't say how much he's changed. I can't stand Megaman at all. He feels like the worst character so far. His ground A-game is okay, and his aerial A-game is decent, but his B attacks are all crap, at least as far as I can tell playing with him. His Up-B is a tad broken with being able to break out of grabs, though. Maybe it's just cause I haven't used him very much. Villager is interesting. He kind of reminds me of Lucas with a bunch of short range abilities that do a lot of damage, but he's definitely a trolly character with the tree and several other of his abilities, it's pretty funny. I can see him being a character I mess around with for laughs. Kevo Wrote:Seems like the demo coming out next week only allows to game to be "opened" 30 times as opposed to unlimited tries for the version obtained through a Platinum status code. That's how most of Nintendo's demos work now-a-days, I don't really get it. The demo is extremely limited as it is, I don't get the point of limiting it further. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Arrol - 2014-09-12 Just got me a download code, surprised that I can't play as Kirby. Also, who do I throw away Items. Megaman was odd to use, but I loved Link in this. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - babo - 2014-09-12 If anyone is willing to donate a demo code, i would be more than happy to take it off their hands :') Seeing all the streams of the JP game today just makes me so hyped already. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - MariettaRC - 2014-09-12 How on Earth do you use Villager's final smash (I got a code, yaaay) Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - GraveJokerR - 2014-09-12 Geez, I wish I could get a code. T_T I wanna try it!! (Got a friend who's trying to get the codes, but is having problems due to high traffic in club nintendo.) Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - meowmixx - 2014-09-12 The streams looked so cool. If anyone has a spare code may i have one please? Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Dark Link - 2014-09-12 GraveJokerR Wrote:Geez, I wish I could get a code. T_T I wanna try it!! Club Nintendo has nothing to do with the codes as of right now. If he was Platinum from last year, he should get an email eventually. If he didn't enable "Receive emails from Club Nintendo", he's out of luck. Super Smash Bros.
