Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-12-19 Why would you have windswept as a priest? If you're going for an inquisitor though, I guess you'd get the fierce plate and windswept. Otherwise as support, you don't need that. Ultimate is only good if you plan on attack stacking FD later on. It's useless at low quantities. Spirited would be a good choice imo. As full support, I'd like to think about what yield me maximum survivability. So my priest would have sturdy and probably adorned in the future. So that'd be: Life Health Mystical Wise Sturdy Adorned Spirited Then maybe: Willful / Unyielding / Lucky This is full support fyi. If you want more damage then replace my support crests with Windswept, Fierce, and ultimate (if you plan to stack) or a plate that has a good option. I don't recall any boss having a high crit stat so I'm not sure why you'd want lucky though. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-12-19 Wait, what does Adorned do again? I plan on 1 VS 1 PvPing with my Priest too, so I'd probably want Lucky for that. Decided that I'm going to drop Fierce and Windswept. With epic Level 32 Windswept and Fierce plates, my Priest only has 2.5k crit, which is laughable. So for the final four plates, I'm probably going to go: - Spirited - Lucky - Sturdy - Unyielding or whatever the para resist one is --- The new weapon and armor craft suffixes are interesting. Life-giving and the elemental ones especially. I'm guessing that a Priest that goes full Life-Giving gear would be near unkillable in PvE (you have a chance to regenerate something like 2% HP if you get hit, although with weapons, it'd be whenever you attack something, and the cooldown is only something like 5 seconds for armor and none at all for weapons). I'm probably going to go Intellect on my helmet, armor, and wand. Life-giving on everything else. Now if only I could get something like a +10 Teram Shield, because the Life-Giving suffix for off-hand weapons is only available on Epic rank. Argh why is the intellect bonus on Cleric gear only available if we craft on Intellect, while everything has Strength. I thought Clerics were primarily magic except for the strength-based Crusader branch. :/ The elemental ones are probably worthless unless you stack a ton of elemental % on your gear, though. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-12-19 losing a big chunk of health is always because you got crit. A boss's damage without getting crit is usually not that bad. The only time I ever go "holy wtp just happened??" was because I ate a nice big crit. There was a nice discussion about this topic on the dnest source forums about crit resist vs every other defense stat. also.... my bag space is becoming kind of ridiculous. I have 35 extra storage slots and I'm still fighting for space. I used up an entire stack of mail stamps today that I bought with leftover NX. I filled 3 mules worth of storage with sparks and onyxs rofl. I'm thinking about buying another market pass since I got that 5k from the e-mail thingy. Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-12-19 Adorned is I dunno how those elemental prefixes work. If they work well, I might use them since I'm already stacked out with fire%... Original Dragon Nest Thread - DarkAbyzz54 - 2011-12-19 Adorned Enhancement is magical defense. If you're going to PVP, definitely get Lucky. Those archers are going to be a pain without it. Lv 36 and ongoing. T_T (I should probably stop promising to train in a group with people. )
Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-12-19 Only applies to ladder battles. Lucky enhancement that is. Who really takes ladder battles seriously anyway Lol. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Tikey - 2011-12-19 Slowly starting the grind back up. Just hit 33. :o Original Dragon Nest Thread - Rick - 2011-12-19 What the hell is up with PVP. Every time I get hit while doing an attack, my attack stops. Every time I hit them during an attack, theirs takes priority. I constantly get stuck on the ground while they pound me with move after move, yet I never seem to be able to do the same because everything they do seems to take precedence over what I do. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-12-19 I had that problem when I first started doing PvP. You just have to figure out which moves have the most super armor and super armor break. Like for my merc, rising slash seems to have a decent amount of super armor during the first 2 parts of it, but when I jump in the air for the third part I'm vulnerable as hell. Stomp has low super armor for the first half second its casting and a decent amount during the actual stomp. For a lot of moves, it seems like the first half second of the skill has pretty low super armor (probably because of latency) and then it gets a lot more. The exception for me seems to be flying swing where the super armor is pretty much instant. I've actually taken advantage of this and used flying swing to tank boss moves I can't avoid. A skill that seems similar (but in the opposite way) is tumbling shot. It has instant invincibility frames. That isn't to say that you don't get BS'd sometimes, but that's probably latency. edit - OMG YES!!! OMG WOOOO. happy right now. Just made a +11 lvl40 gauntlet like I wanted . I used the 5k NX I got from the e-mail to jelly my gauntlet after +10. That's my first +11 enhancement.

Every attack in the game has its own "super armor." It's like HP for the attacks, and when it drops to 0, you flinch. Every attack also takes away a certain amount of super armor from the attacks of enemies; heavier hitting skills take off more super armor. To avoid being hit, you have to dodge at precise moments. You also have to use aerial evasion wisely to break out of juggles. If you're stuck on the ground, there's not much you can do besides using the rising attack skill or rolling by double-tapping W, A, S, or D. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-12-19 Oh hey, since I have like 150 average onyx, let's see how far I can get enhancing random gear I come across. I mean, I've yet to enhance any item to +11 for the achievement thus far.
Spoiler
O_O Too bad I can't go for +13 for the lulz. And greens can't have suffix. I wonder how far an epic shield needs to go in order to beat a +12 green though. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Mibs - 2011-12-19 Which dungeons should I grind for 40? I'm in no rush, probably not going to hit it for a month or so, but just wondering which dungeons are working out best for you guys. Oh, and unyielding plates are amazing, I've been para-locked and it's NOT fun. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Shippo the Fox - 2011-12-19 Ahahahaha. Never soloing Apocalypse Nest. Just got home from work. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-12-19 Hit level 38. Went on four dungeons and I'm already at like 47% with a whole bunch of quests still left over. I hope level 39 isn't nearly as awful as level 35 was, though. But wow did the story take a wtp turn pretty fast. I mean, we all saw that coming, but I didn't see that OTHER thing coming. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-12-19 which crafting enchants are bugged? Is it just balanced? Original Dragon Nest Thread - Shippo the Fox - 2011-12-19 Was bored so I decided to record one of my 2 favorite dungeons. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-12-19 that was pretty damn impressive vice =D. What's your range on there? I'm guessing you're mainly going physical but getting as much magic attack as you can. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Shippo the Fox - 2011-12-19 5240 Crit as of now. Hybrid build as of now but I intended to major in Magic. Unintentionally getting more physical. Ways to go in terms of upgrading and equips. |
