A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - Niernen - 2014-09-05 Sigh. Just caught up (roommate was having a meltdown because our couch broke so I was dealing with that). All the powers so far seem like half powers that have to interact with each other. I agree with most of the points Y0shi made before. The town was pretty focused on Sidoshi because of his early and out of place claim, especially Verrkol. On Luv, Polantaris brought up some great points. I can't really comment too much on Luv's "style" since his first game he really didn't know how to play and gave up when he was going to be voted off. The other time he was mafia and flipped out, like he did this time. I really can't say whether its because he is mafia or he just "learned" how to defend himself "better". I'm kind of in the same boat as ChaoticCJ, I don't know enough GoT to catch the roles or know what a person's role would be. As for Luv's whole power thing, Holypie has been a bit unclear on some of the roles (as we saw with Kyrastri's revenge kill) so I wouldn't be surprised if he did later change something . I don't really see how Luv's power is too useful, unless the mafia all have powers, but even then we still wouldn't be able to determine what side someone is on from having a power alone. I guess Holypie learned from my OP tracker/watcher from last game and just nerfed it hard? A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - MasPan - 2014-09-05 Niernen Wrote:Sigh. Precisely why I suspect his claim is either false or withholding information (which he has done before). Something like that on its own doesn't really accomplish much unless it has an interaction with another player's ability or to counter a vanilla claim. That combined with an extremely minor character is a bit much for credibility. If that is indeed his role, claiming it now basically ruins any potential Luv would've had to call someone out for a vanilla fakeclaim. Meh. A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - Polantaris - 2014-09-05 y0y0y0y0shi0 Wrote:Polantaris seemed very similar to how they played last game. Active, reasonable, somewhat cautious. But that last post looked like he was channeling Kyra or something and I didn't expect that from them. I fully agree with most of what they said, but that post is kind of the reason I wanted to make this post and point out what I thought felt weird to me. To be completely honest, I haven't been feeling well (in real life), so I've had plenty of time being unable to sleep and think about the game .-. I'm probably overthinking things, to be truthful. LuvDWayULie Wrote:Guys, if you lynch me, you'll just lose another townie (If that's not obvious enough) 1) I can understand that. The problem is that you were inactive as well as the person you voted off for being inactive. Everyone can be inactive, and you see that yourself. So using it as your claim to why someone needs to be lynched is ridiculous. That's my point. I had reasons to be inactive last game as well, should I have been lynched for it too? 2) It looks like vote manipulation. Someone clearly states that they're thinking about voting for someone, and you go, "Hey. Do it. C'mon. You know you wanna." 3) You can post your feelings. 4) The basics of logic are that to make a logical argument you need two points to create a claim. If you're voting someone off over only one point, then it is illogical. You lynched TheBirds over only inactivity that we know of. What else led you to make that lynch? Only inactivity? Then it was an illogical lynch. That's my point. TheBirds shouldn't have been lynched because there was no supporting claim against him. It seems pretty mafia to go against what people were saying, that we don't want to be lynching inactives so early, especially when said player is infamous for being early-game inactive. 5) You're right, I don't understand you. I don't understand how someone town could do something the town didn't want. I don't really know why Holypie would change who you were, unless he accidentally gave out the same role twice, which I guess is possible. Did he just change your name, or did you have a change in power as well? A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - meowmixx - 2014-09-05 LuvDWayULie; quickie q from me. u have the ability to see if anyone else has an ability themselves right. y didnt u check on meta seeing as he said that he didnt have a power. if it was me i would have checked just in case cuz u know trust no one... Meta didn't actually state that he had no power, only that in general terms he tends to lose interest when he doesn't have one. A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - y0y0y0y0shi0 - 2014-09-05 Something came up and I don't have time to elaborate all of my thoughts, I'll do so in the morning if I'm still alive. I agree that a pseudo-watcher would be infinitely more useful to mafia than town. And Luv is playing the same overly-emotional wifom game that I bought into during pokemon mafia and, regardless of slight differences, I'm not letting that slip by again. A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - Niernen - 2014-09-05 Anyone got some wine? A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - VerrKol - 2014-09-05 I hate when people vote for themselves. [Vote]:LuvDWayULie At least we don't lose much of a power if he's telling the truth. A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - Holypie - 2014-09-06 After a lively day of finger pointing and voting and bandwagoning on one target or another, eventually it was noticed that one of you was acting suspicious, and their story didn't completely make sense. Almost everyone wanted the head of LuvDWayULie. "Any last words?" someone asked. "You can't stop us, we have hundreds of thousands at your door, this is only a minor setback", he replied, before the axe came down and his head rolled. LuvDWayULie Wrote:You are Varamyr Sixskins, a powerful warg and a leader of the free folk. You ride into battle on the back of a snow bear, while also controlling three wolves and a shadowcat. You have recently acquired an eagle which you can use for scouting, and each night you may send me a PM containing [Scout] Target to determine if they performed any night actions. You win when all of the “kneelers” are dead and you can pass safely beyond the Wall.(I made a mistake here, and intended to change it to what I actually used, which was that he can tell if his target has any special abilities. I explained what his action did (he thought he was a watcher, and I clarified) but didn't catch the role PM error until earlier today. I don't think it really would have influenced the game.) Out of nowhere, a crossbow bolt hits Niernen squarely in the neck. As he dies choking on his own blood, you look to see a crossbowman with the sigil of the flaming heart sewn on his tunic. Niernen Wrote:You are Mance Rayder, the King-Beyond-the-Wall. You are leading the free folk on an attack on the Wall because you know it’s their only hope of surviving through the winter before the Others arrive. You have great knowledge of the Night’s Watch having been a member before, and you will appear as a brother of the Night’s Watch when investigated. Additionally, you may assassinate one person each night by sending me a PM containing [Kill] Target. Should you die, one of your lieutenants will be able to perform the kill. You win when all of the “kneelers” are dead and you can pass safely beyond the Wall. Night will end tomorrow at 11 PM EST as usual. I don't think I'll be busy this late for the rest of the game, sorry about this and yesterday. A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - Holypie - 2014-09-06 After the horrifying events of the last day, you walk into the yard with a sense of dread for what is to come. After a quick count though, you realize that nobody is missing! Someone breathes a sigh of relief as you begin another round of deliberations for the day to come. Day 3 will end Monday at 11 PM EST. A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - meowmixx - 2014-09-06 uneventful night on my end. how bout you guys? A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - Salguod - 2014-09-06 Also uneventful for me. Does this confirm an even night doctor? A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - Olsi - 2014-09-06 It could mean many things. Although two different doctors seems a little difficult for the mafia A Song of Ice and Mafia TOWN WINS - MasPan - 2014-09-06 Well that was amusing. I was wondering how long it would take the mafia to try to attack me. They couldn't have known that I have straw men set up that take the hits for me lol. Assuming we have a doctor, don't bother protecting me, I can handle myself. -Edit (vote explanation) - I feel that the mafia attack on me last night implies I'm on to something with my votes. Also, a note - I was given the onion on night 1. I was hoping someone would say something about it, but that seems unlikely at this point. |
