Lozmaster Wrote:Intelligent systems should be taken away from making Mario RPGs after the mediocre Super Paper Mario and Paper Mario Sticker Star.

They also made the best of the Paper Mario franchise as well.

AlphaDream does the Mario & Luigi stuff, and Intelligent does Paper Mario.

Intelligent hasn't made a great paper mario game in 8 years, and has failed at it twice. How many times are they supposed to be allowed to screw it up before someone makes them stop?

While I find super paper mario to be decent, you can't blame intelligent for sticker star due to miyamoto's influence on the game. Honestly I think the game would have been completely different akin to the earlier titles (as early screenshots of sticker star suggest) if it wasn't for miyamoto.

Yes you can. Despite what people might lead you to believe, it is down to intelligent systems to do some public research, and prove to miyamoto that we wanted another Thousand year door, and say no to him. Bending over just because he's miyamoto, who clearly doesn't know everything just makes them look worse.

I've wondered for years how much say Miyamoto even allows developers to have to be honest.

What I'm saying is despite how much research does, intelligent they probably wouldn't have convinced miyamoto because he is too attached to his old characters. I don't know how much power they have to say just no to miyamoto(we don't know what actually goes behind the scene), but I agree they shouldn't have easily bended their will to his ideas and minimalist storyline.

Mario and Luigi : Dream Team Bros is out tomorrow in europe, early copies have already started arriving and holy pomegranate guys, this game is good.

I feel for you having to wait a whole month america, I'm reserving judgement on saying the whole thing is better than BiS sinc eI'm only a few hours in, but so far this game is a 10/10 in my book.

The one thing I will say, is that the music is so much better than the previous games.

This is the 3DS Mario RPG we've been waiting for, paper mario can go cry in a corner.

I've loved all of the M&L games. Totally can't wait for M&L4 to come out.

NA 3DS software update makes 4 new StreetPass Mii Plaza games available.... at $5 each. (Was available in Japan and Europe for a few weeks already.)

Polygon Wrote:
  • Mii Force ($4.99) - A sidescrolling shooter in which players use other Miis to save StreetPass Galaxy from the Gold Bone Gang
  • Flower Town ($4.99) - A gardening and plant-breeding game that lets players water and cross-breed flora to become a "Master Gardener"
  • Warrior's Way ($4.99) - A strategy game in which players collect Miis to build an army via StreetPass and battle other commanders to conquer the world
  • Monster Manor ($4.99) - A "spooky paranormal investigation" in which players act as a detective trying to solve the mystery of a haunted house and battle ghosts as they try to make it to the top floor

BUT WHY DO THEY COST MONEY QQ

The humour in dream team does not disappoint.

I also love the jigsaw mini games ^.^

It's Club Nintendo 2013 Elite Status Gift teim.

So... while my GF is relishing her Plat status and getting that Majora's Mask OST, I'm stuck with gold status and narrowed my choices to Super Mario Land or Link's Awakening.

Help.

Not even a choice.

Links awakening is a full fledged zelda game.

Super Mario Land is a mediocre 2d mario platformer (They didn't really get interesting on the Gameboy until super mario land 2).

Would kill for that Majora's Mask OST though, stupid crap Nintendo UK club Nintendo. (Though the Mario Kart trophies were bitchin')

Sorry to get off topic here. I was about to rage on you until I realized you said Mario Land and not world, then I was still gonna rage on you until I realized you are specifically refering to Land 1. That's when I thought it was all fine lol.

I will never forget walking into the last castle...

I was only 60 coins from Plat, completely forgot July is the reset point. Regardless, I'm kind of leaning toward the 2014 desk calendar. I still have the original game carts for SSB64, Mario Land, and Link's Awakening, as well as having played them to death. Warioware has never interested me.

The plat rewards the past 2 years have been somewhat disappointing... you shell out hundreds of dollars to this company and they give you a choice of 3 posters or a single soundtrack? Come on, you can do better than that. >_>

Right, because Microsoft and Sonys comparable offers are so good. Oh, and those hundreds of dollars kinda are for the games and not the soundtrack/posters.

I didn't realize sony and microsoft had anything to do with this? Where did I mention them? Oh right, I didn't. I like the posters, admittedly, but I still feel as though there's nothing that actually stands out. Not to mention the gold prizes offering digital downloads... Just my personal opinion. My only actual gripe for this year specifically is there's no year of luigi item... I was hoping for a luigi cap.

3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Dark Link - 2013-07-16

I can't remember last year's plat rewards. All I know is I like the Skyward Sword posters and the Platinum playing cards.
