Summarized %/s List - JoeTang - 2013-05-10

Mazz Wrote:No idea, I remember back before Big Bang there was a lot of talk about whether or not Adv. Dark Sight was worth putting points into because of the lag but I don't think it's too bad.. 20% damage is pretty decent and I haven't noticed any delay when using it (or when it triggers), and I'm from Europe so the connection isn't great anyway. I don't know how the numbers go though.
But as far as %/s go that shouldn't make a difference, since it's supposed to be optimal.

I'll look into adding Advanced Dark Sight as well.

Sorry for these noob questions, but what does each column stand for and what column should I be paying attention to the most to figure out which class is the strongest?

Summarized %/s List - tecul1 - 2013-05-21

If you can't answer those questions on your own you shouldn't be using the chart. It's clearly labeled.

As tecul1 said, the columns are clearly labeled. But, since saying that alone isn't very helpful, I'll just let you know that the %/s column is the one that tells you the % damage from skills a class can use, and the class column is the class that the row corresponds to. Everything else is only relevant if you want to spend a crap-ton of NX on your equipment, but 100% and 200% boss are both just hypotheticals about how much damage a class can do with that much %boss damage. Hits/s is the number of hits a class can do in one second, and that only really matters because of the m/s column, which is how much damage a class can theoretically do in one second (in millions).

Jesus, Xenon!

Damn, Aran, you're moving up!

Summarized %/s List - Curtiss - 2013-05-23

Xenon really went down that much? He still seems powerful enough as a secondary hunting mule so that's okay with me and wow, Aran's doing well now.

...L> Phantom boost, we're still not even CLOSE to what we were before the nerf after two 're-balances'. T_T

how exactly is the %/S calculated?

Summarized %/s List - Swirlly - 2013-05-23

I have a question :
How exactly did you calculate Aran's damage?
With this new patch, we have some new options for attack, such as...
Plain old Overswing + Final Blow + Beyond Blade (like before), or just Final Blow + Beyond Blade, since Final Blow can now be hot-keyed, and is useable without OS. Or, just OS + FB? The damage of those two skills was bumped up really high, while Beyond Blade is still at 420%.
We have a bunch of new options that could be better DPM; am I correct in my assumption that this chart uses OS + FB + BB?

Scroll down to the bottom of the first/second post (depending if you want KMS or GMS) and there's a section for which skills are used in the calculations.

Current version GMS Kaiser for example:

Quote:Kaiser: Giga Slasher is used on single target. Sword Strike is used on multiple targets. Infernal Breath is used whenever it is available. Wingbeat is used every 1.980s if there are less than 3 active. Petrified is summoned whenever it disappears. Wingbeat and Sword Strike cannot be used while Transfigured, thus Blue Streak is used on multiple targets when transfigured and Dragon Slash is used to fill the spam delay. Command table uses the Command skill to charge up the Mode Gauge.
Hyper: Uses Prominence and the following: Giga Slasher - Reinforce, Giga Slasher - Bonus Attack, Wingbeat - Reinforce, Wingbeat - Extra Attack, Wing Beat - Persist
GMS: Uses Wing Beat while transfigured.

Swirlly; This should answer your question too, though obviously not for Kaiser. It's in the Warrior %/s thread though.

Holy craaaaaaaap.

Xenon Sniper mode dropped hard.
And what the crap at Wild Hunters.

ChronosXIII Wrote:Holy craaaaaaaap.

WH became better because they basically took everything that was detrimental to DPS and gave them either a passive or a skill to attack better.

as example what they changed:

Gained Automatic Shooting Device passive 1st job(20 attack)
3rd Job dodge changed to flurry, also gives 30 passive dex
Attack Speed +1 on Beast Form
Lost exploding arrows(ultimate) for Assistant Hunting unit, which adds short time damage which adds 440%x4 per second(without buffs) for 4 seconds.
Lost stink bomb shot(useless) for extended magazine, which increases damage by 10% and allstats by +20
Silent Rampage hyper(nerfed to 10% damage and 90% afa) now has no cooldown.

its the combination of losing most of the useless skills and replacing them with something passive, or a better buff that made them alot better. This is on top that almost all the jaguar moves delay was almost halved(from ~33 casts to ~52 casts for sonic roar)

to take the removed skills list from max, here's my comments on them:

Crossbow Booster (1st) : moved to 2nd job
Mine (2nd) : all it was ever useful for was for hackers. No competent WH would use it.
Silver Hawk (2nd) : only legitimate loss IMO in dps
Wild Trap (3rd): decent as a monster distractor, but uses owners defense for its own defense. dies too quickly
Blind (3rd): Blind effect is partially useful, the -50 static defense on monsters was to miniscule
Dodge (3rd): replaced by flurry, a better variant of it
Flash Rain (4th): replaced by assistant hunting unit, adds dps over an ultimate
Chemical Shell (4th): replaced by extended magazine, which becomes a buff instead of a useless skill
Wild Vulcan – Add Range (Hyper): people actually increase range?
Drill Container (Hyper): switch to a more jaguar based hyper, dont know its effectiveness(500%x9 every 90 seconds)

Yeah, I'm just surprised their changes made them jump up ~10 places higher.

Beast Form already gives +1 Attack Speed, so no idea what happened there, and one of the Beast Form Hypers will still increase its Attack Speed bonus but I'm pretty sure Wild Hunters already hit speed cap without it.

Excluding the passive +30 DEX, Flurry is the exact same as Dodge. Would have liked to see them turn Dodge into a variant of Shadow Meld from Dual Blades; 7 second duration buff on successful dodge with a 5 second cooldown.

Also would have liked to see them buff up Wild Trap instead of removing it completely, but oh well.

Dudewitbow Wrote:Attack Speed +1 on Beast Form

Actually, Beast Form was always like that.

I have to disagree with you about Hawk and Blind though. Blind is the only real loss in my opinion, because it made Wild Hunters almost immune to damage as long as the monster was still under its effect. Hawk, on the other hand, got in my way most of the time because it would agro things that I really didn't want chasing after me, sometimes it would (until fairly recently) often trigger damage reflect and kill me, and while training it would kb one monster and prevent me from rushing it into a nice little group with the other monsters. I usually opted to not summon it and save myself the headache, not caring about the minor decrease in single target DPS.

They did address the latter two issues with Hawk at some point or another, but I still don't like the skill much. Most probably out of spite for its earlier uselessness.

AB back on top for KMS, aw yee.

Improved Soul Seeker and Trinity buff looks amazing, can't wait for it to come to GMS.
