No quadruple throw please- I'd like to see a little more originality than the endless addition of more hits to skills simply because Nexon is too lazy to find another way to make them stronger.

Knowing Nexon's lack of originality, that's no surprise at all.

Hana Wrote:I wonder what the next theif/pirate update will be called.

It'll be called "Hey, we've forgotten those classes exist. So here's this useless PQ update that we've been trying to implement correctly in Archer Jump."

[1.2.381] The Wind - DeanNim - 2011-05-20

i find the bowmen updates more lulzy as compared to the mages and warrior ones. the updated stuff is soooo, out of place, if you know what i mean. those in the mage and warrior ones are much needed while bowmen get unnecessary skills such as double jump.

If that's the case I'd like a list of which new skills each of our removed skill's books will morph into so I can stock up on cheap useless books, if possible. Thanks!

I had the same question regarding Magician changes, I've searched and gotten some vague answers, some people found Arcane Aim books in their inventory, likely replacing Mana Reflect. Some skills were explicitly changed like Ice Demon was shown to become Glacial Chains, but Fiel's extractions seem to differentiate an ID -> GC change and Mana Reflect removal and Arcane Aim addition as two separate events.

Veneni Wrote:NL's are the new mages! lol!

Hyperbole noted, but Buccaneers have held that position for ages, and I'm still not completely convinced on mages not being "mages" anymore.

ShanghaiDizzy Wrote:You know what I mean. Why did you bother going out of your way to attempt to troll someone?

I'm not trying to troll you. Trying to make very clear distinctions between classes that share several significant similarities is difficult. Both are ranged, both have low def, low hp, high speed, high accuracy, high avoid. I'm talking about the archer branches and the thief branches. Their main attributes are very similar. It should come as no surprise that they share other things, like similar skills. Focus and nimble body? But we had to use sp to buff ourself for what you got passively.

Sorry you're bitter DeanNim.

If you see "NEW SKILL" - this means a new skillID was added that was not in the previous data.
If you see "REMOVED SKILL" - this means a skillID cannot be found in the new data that was in the previous data.

If you see something that looks like this:
Code:
[b][u]Archer Mastery:[/u][/b]
Changed - Name (아마존의 눈 --> 아처 마스터리)
Changed - Description (활과 석궁의 사정거리를 증가시켜 준다. --> 궁수의 기본기를 익힌다. 명중치, 회피치, 사정거리, 이동속도, 최대 이동속도 상한이 증가한다.)
Changed - Level readout (활과 석궁의 사정 거리 #range 증가 --> 명중치 #acc, 회피치 #eva, 사정거리 #range, 이동속도 #speed 증가, 최대 이동속도 상한 #u로 증가)
Changed - Max level (5 --> 15)
Changed - Image ([url=http://www.happychinchilla.info/Southperry/patch/skill/1305908800.3000002.icon.orig.png]icon[/url] --> [url=http://www.happychinchilla.info/Southperry/patch/skill/1305908800.3000002.icon.new.png]icon[/url])
Changed - Image ([url=http://www.happychinchilla.info/Southperry/patch/skill/1305908800.3000002.iconDisabled.orig.png]iconDisabled[/url] --> [url=http://www.happychinchilla.info/Southperry/patch/skill/1305908800.3000002.iconDisabled.new.png]iconDisabled[/url])
Changed - Image ([url=http://www.happychinchilla.info/Southperry/patch/skill/1305908800.3000002.iconMouseOver.orig.png]iconMouseOver[/url] --> [url=http://www.happychinchilla.info/Southperry/patch/skill/1305908800.3000002.iconMouseOver.new.png]iconMouseOver[/url])

That means Nexon changed a skill's meaning but kept the skillID. You can distinctly tell it changed when the name changes to something completely different or when the iconDisabled/iconMouseOver changes to a new icon.

So my extractions often differ from the patch notes in verbiage only. It's a very low level parser.

As for which skills will keep their SP and which skills won't - it's anyone's guess. I know as much about that as the next guy.

I hope they do nightlords some justice in future updates, or its going to take some serious will power not to quit my nightlord.
Can anyone confirm how much weaker triple throw becomes after the chaos patch is complete?

Funny, because Buccaneers have been around for 3 years now? Archers have been around for 7.

After reading some of the translated bowman skill updates:

Quote:At master level, Spirit Link: Phoenix increases your damage by 20%, HP by 40%, physical and magic defense by 30% when Phoenix is summoned.

Quote:At master level, Spirit Link: Freezer increases your damage by 20%, HP by 40%, physical and magic defense by 30% when Freezer is summoned.

A 40% elemental resistance to the mage summons?...(doesn't make any sense but its done)

50% stance to a skill that can be dispelled with a cooldown? (could have been 90% or passive).

As for Big Bang, its not comparable to Pierce where MM's get the increased instance of a mob effect while training. Every 4th job explorer mage's main attacking skill can mob so what's the point of using a charge skill for the same purpose?
(F/P actually has a use for it due to the DoT effect for ME)

The archer update seems better designed to me so far.

wtp @ that MM video.

At 2:10 - he hits 88,888 like 8 times in a row. Is there an explanation for that?

Event Monster?

Edit: Yep, definitely an event monster, it's that palbird thingy, 8th anniversary after all.

Should probably not include summons in calculations due to the fact that during most boss runs, archers won't be allowed to have their summons out, thereby reducing their full bossing capabilities. Granted they'll do it during solo bossing and training, but really, if ever they get to do a squad run, most likely people will be like : OMG Tongue Y U SUMMON 4????? U MAEK ME LAGGGGGG! STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP!!1111!" >.>

[1.2.381] The Wind - Fiel - 2011-05-20

@Worthyness - Try telling a bowman that he can't have a 40% HP boost during a boss run. I'd love to see you try.

I don't know what boss run you go to if your party complains about that. Your asking them to turn off their version of self HB

That used to be more of an issue when 1) Phoenix was crappy and 2) Boss runs had more than 2 parties. Nowadays boss runs, event pb and cht, never go above 3 parties (3 for cht for safety for drops) and in that you've got warriors and nl's etc. The number of archers is only a couple and a couple summons isn't a big deal, never heard of people lagging on the runs i've been on when I have phoenix out.

Additionally, phoenix does respectable damage for just hitting a button to pull it out. I have it out at pb. HT solos are different as auto-aggro is broken and I don't want to aggro other parts of ht when I can just solo the wings or w/e i'm attacking and only be attacked back by one thing. When that's fixed, you can bet my phoenix is coming out.

When JUMP comes out though, Phoenix will be an invaluable asset and you can rest assured that any high level bossing archer will have it out. Think of it like beholder. On boss runs, do you ever see a DrK without their beholder? Nah, just doesn't make sense.

No, its because the pig is cute.

Oh and on the name guessing subject, inb4 pirates revenge

When did you become the leader of all boss runs telling people they can't pull the bird out. I don't give a pineapple who tells me I can or cannot pull it out, because I will do it. If it helps me I'll do it.
