I love how it took 7 years for Blue Pegasus to give a crap about what's left of them and to tell them this news.

I gotta say I am disappointed. About the guild turning into a bunch of cowards (I'm pretty sure they could beat those guys in the tavern) after those 7 years and mainly about they introducing The old fairy Tail back so quickly. What was the point of skipping through time then? Maybe since Fairy Tail had beaten prolly the most powerful dark guild existing, FairyTail could be considered the strongest guilds in their world, so they had to do a time skip to power up EVERYONE ELSE instead of them?... Yah that would be lame.
I'm sure they haven't been training for 7 years though. Not all of them got the mentality of Natsu/Goku to give up everything in life to become stronger, My guess is, they are all frozen by some spell, or the island is sealed by some spell, or the whole island skipped through time.

I still think it's brilliant how no one in their alliance really paid their respects or really tried to help Fairy Tail recover and get stronger this whole time.
I also want to know why the hell they were gone this long. Why couldn't they have returned after a week or so? Did they mean to stay for seven years? Or were they really being kept from returning all of these seven years? Or perhaps they were warped seven years into the future?
But hey: I have to give some props to Mashima for not being so hasty to reintroduce the main cast. If anything, it's one of the few times he's even been a bit unpredictable. I do wish that everyone else got stronger, but I kind of like this dark future. On another note: neither Zeref nor Acnologia did ANYTHING in 7 years. New age my ass.

Acnologia could have gone to the dragons feast that igneel and wendies dragon were talking about. Also maybe Acnologia just teleported them with his blast and not killed them? Possibly to the Dragon feast because of the 3 dragon slayers? (really wanna see this dragon feast)

Sure, lets start a war with the strongest guild in Magnolia! I can't possibly see why this wouldn't be a bad idea!
Firstly: It's not being a coward: There are still laws against guilds fighting each other, that even if they could win would get the guild disbanded.
Second: They're doing exactly what they did under Makarovs leadership when Phantom lord came and trashed the guild while most people were away. While they thought that no-one was hurt in the attack, they didn't care about the broken property

But the difference is that they are currently their bi`tch. I think it was rather a measure of strength compared between the new guilds, and the old one without the "main cast". I'm sure once they're back fairytale will be at the top no problem

What do you mean smooth criminal how could an alliance guild help fairy tail out? I'm sure the remaining ft members could have joined their guilds but decided to keep ft alive.
You can't train scrubby people into being good, in this manga all the strong people were always strong. And they can't give members away.
Still kind of sucks main cast is gone and everyone sucks. Fairy tail was populated as pineapple too.

That could explain why Edolas' Wendy is older. However Natsu and Gajeel are the same.
Maybe Dragon Slayer Magic makes your soul older or something, and Zeref could know about the dragons and their disciples, thus allowing him to know who Natsu is.

Maybe the dragon slayers are real dragons but they dont know it therefore cant transform into a dragon, and there is only one dragon slayer "child" per dragon zeref being acnologia, natsu igneels etc. Then the whole over 80 years old would make sense as well right?
