DONALD TRUMP [should be] DISQUALIFIED - Flonne - 2016-05-05 Marksman Bryan Wrote:That said, I think the next best course of action for humanity in general (with or without devastating climate change) is to pursue space exploration. I've changed my field of studies to be in line with the space industry, both because I think it is the most important endeavor for mankind and because it's pineappleing space and space is cool as pomegranate. You have clearcut examples of how terrible our society is, and you want to help spread it to other planets? There are currently only 2 routes our society can go down unless major (read:impossible) changes are made to every facet of civilization down to our basic human nature, one is we go extinct on this planet, and the other is we assimilate and systematically destroy as much of space as we possibly can before we are culled into extinction by every other race in the universe once they notice how pineappleing terrible we are. Right now, I doubt they can see us given our infinitesimal universal footprint, and that's the only saving grace we have. I mean, at best, we might make for decent forced labor, I guess, but nobody is going to greet us with open arms, either an imperialistic society will overtake us or a peaceful society will take one look at our culture and tell us to beat it, then kill us when we mistakenly assume they are weak and attack them for their technology. It's not nearly that simple. The first few hundred years of (non-earth) colonization will sure as hell not allow any "normal" or "average" person on the mission. My statement about space exploration was made in the most general sense possible. If, as a human species, we want to survive for <insert very large amount of time here>, there is no other choice than to expand beyond our solar system. The sun will die eventually and this solar system will be uninhabitable. Granted, it's a very long ways away, but we have to be headed in that direction as a bare minimum if we don't want to go extinct. Why not start now? Intelligent alien life is an entirely different can of worms with way too many variables (some of which we don't even know) to properly assess. I would gladly have a discussion about it elsewhere, though. That's all implying we don't nuke ourselves to extinction before then. Which is more likely than you'd think. I also wouldn't be surprised if a radical terror group was able to obtain/build their own nuclear weapon and use it in our lifetime. But there's also nothing stopping some maniac gunning me down the next time I step outside (I think Eos said something similar to this a few years back?). Those events are out of my control so I try not to worry about them. Anyways. For now, humanity's main priority should be climate change (and, consequently, a revamp of our energy systems). Bernie is the only one that could make progress on that. Besides, just building the wall will save the country so much money it will pay for itself in a year. Avg wage of a government general contractor is around 62k a year and you're gonna need thousands to actually get this done, and it's gonna do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to get the illegals that are already in, out. Also, there's costs of maintaining the tools they're using, fuel, permits, and all kinds of other things. The wall won't happen. Because not only will you have the cost of the wall being built, you'll STILL have the problem of the illegals that are ALREADY HERE. https://newrepublic.com/article/118602/deporting-all-undocumented-immigrants-would-cost-billions-immigration "After running the numbers, CAP estimated the cost for deporting 10.8 million undocumented immigrants in America would be $200 billion over five years. DHS would also need $17 billion each year thereafter for continued enforcement. In 2010, the Annual budget of the department of homeland security was $55.1 billion per year. You'd have to raise an extra 40 billion dollars per year in order to fund this plan's initial inception, and then spend 17 billion per year according to their estimates to keep it running, and that's just for the deportations. But you're only looking at one side of the coin, and that is, while they're funneling 100 billion away per year, is it ACTUALLY hurting the economy. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/17/magazine/do-illegal-immigrants-actually-hurt-the-us-economy.html The answer surprisingly enough is no, because they have to spend the money they make just to survive here, and they're still taxed on their income, but, here's the kicker. Because they're undocumented, they're still paying taxes on their income, and NOT RECEIVING ANY BENEFIT FROM IT BECAUSE THEY CAN'T COLLECT WELFARE OR SOCIAL SECURITY. Over 10% of the 2.6 trillion dollars in the social security trust fund was contributed by taxes on the checks that illegals receive. Do you think that they just magically send all the money they get away, and somehow spend 0 dollars while they're here, living and eating for free? The money getting funneled out of the country is hardly anything in the long run. You're just starstruck by a big number and falling in with the propaganda, typical conservative rhetoric has blinded you to the actual data that was available to you the whole time. If you can tell me where that extra 57 billion dollars is going to come from, I'll take your responses seriously. The people we didn't deport in each prior year will pay for it, after the initial loan for the first year. The government takes loans all the time, why should this be any different? Why do you think we are so far in debt to the rest of the world otherwise?

It doesn't matter whether or not it "hurts" the economy. You're essentially asking where the hell the money can come from, and here it is. I've pointed out a source, where it can provide in excess, and you're slapping it down because...reasons?? No one knows the cost, both sides are speculation. Half the reason the wall can't get built, if you remember when George Jr tried, was incredibly complicated real estate/border laws. Many ranches lost, some even half of their own property by government trump(pun) laws. Led to lawsuits, and just in general a lot of backlash which is why the wall was never finished, or fence to actually graph out in the first place. This doesn't even include the treaty involving the gulf, which you want to try to amend without pissing off mexico? Trump better have some plantain suckin lips. He's such a master negotiator, and exploiter of eminent domain. If there is one person who could actually have a chance pulling it off, it's Trump. Until you get rid of them, they're still an active drain. So you're dealing with the active drain while you're doing it. So not only are you still losing that hundred billion or so, you're ALSO spending 40 billion more, and the "money" that's being lost isn't even in their pockets to begin with. It's the illegals personal money, from businesses. Are you understanding this now. Do you get it. In order to fund it, it's going to have to come from our taxes. The money in question here isn't 100 billion in tax revenue it's 100 billion in regular income from the illegals that are working. They aren't magically sending the entirety of every check they're making back to mexico or wherever. They spend money on local businesses and rent to survive in america. IN OTHER WORDS IN ORDER TO BE COSTING US 100 BILLION, THEY HAVE TO BE GENERATING WAY MORE THAN THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE, BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT LIVING HERE FOR FREE. Either way, it's going to shake things up, and that's the only thing that interests me anymore. Rich families getting out of pomegranate has happened in the past, but what makes this more of a pivotal point is that the last MAJOR major scandal like this was long before email and all the other things that make tracking everything people do simple. It's one thing to bring up large amounts of circumstantial evidence to the court and link it all together to form something legitimate, it's another thing entirely to have absolute, undeniable, impossible to fudge evidence like what is currently against her, her only defense is the sheer amount of data she leaked and that's no defense other than a delay on the trial so all of the evidence can be gathered in one place. And that's not even mentioning Benghazi, multiple people including ambassadors got killed because of her incompetence there, I hope that is part of her trial just to kick her while she's down. The point is, even if she gets through this, there is no situation where she will regain the trust of anyone short of writing up a lasting world peace agreement in her own blood because at the last minute the committee ran out of ink.
