E3 2014 - Flonne - 2014-06-11

Holy pomegranate, those feet whips. Attacks look pineappleing awesome in Bayonetta 2, even moreso than the first.

FLIGHT. Also, this translator is terrible, he isn't doing well at all, I'm not even fluent and I realize that lol.

Chicocl Wrote:They did. Hyrule Warriors(september) and Bayonetta 2(october), probably captain Toad if the Wii U version is released in december and it in November.

That leaves us with "nothing" for July-August.

I don't personally mind because I just got a wii u, so I have a few games to catch up on with it. However, that is not the case for everyone.

Really enjoyed the Nintendo conference and the smash invitational yesterday.
Also, does anyone know when that 90 minute press conference for the mystery 3DS game is? I've been looking around and I still haven't found anything about it, so I'm assuming it hasn't happened yet.

.

Probably Watch dogs or Devil's third. Also other minor 3rd party games.

And it's nothing compared with the first year, when we had 6 months without games.

There are also a few indie games with release dates in that period!
Like I said "nothing" (extra emphasis on those quotation marks)

E3 2014 - Dark Link - 2014-06-11

Seems there's some KH2.5HD demos over at E3

 Spoiler

EDIT:

They just said that the new 3DS game is an entirely new IP and they'll be going crazy with the game during tomorrow's Treehouse. That's pretty cool.

RIP people who were hoping it was Majora's Mask 3DS.

E3 2014 - Kirov - 2014-06-11

The game is Code Name: S.T.E.A.M

Turn Based Strategy game by Intelligent Systems. Steam Punk art style, set in London.

Edit - screenshots: https://www.facebook.com/NintendoHandheldGaming/posts/682596355145692

I remember reading the stories about them registering that trademark a couple of months ago but completely forgot about it.

E3 2014 - Icho - 2014-06-11

I had been waiting for these announcements...

I went and bought a wii u mario kart bundle yesterday just because of e3! I know some games might not be what some people hoped for..but get over it. Nintendo finally stepped up and gave a good amount of games that'll be coming soon to the console. I watched the other e3 conferences and they sucked in comparison to nintendo! Biggrin (and I secretly love sony) either way nintendo received a "A++"

E3 2014 - byakugan - 2014-06-11

I just realized... there was no Quantum break in the Microsoft conference? Thats literally the only Xbone game I care about and I believe they mentioned nothing about it. is it the Shin Megami Emblem of Xbone?

E3 2014 - Razmos - 2014-06-12

There's some speculation that the main character of the new Zelda game shown in the trailer is actually Zelda herself. A Legend of Zelda game featuring Zelda as the main character would be very interesting.

Also it was hinted by the series producer that the character in the trailer might not be Link at all.

Link has always been a little feminine looking, but the character shown in the trailer is probably the most feminine one by far. It's also interesting how it takes a while for his/her face to be shown in the trailer.

I'm definitely thinking it's either a more actionized Zelda as the main character, or a female Link (was it ever mentioned in the lore that all the Link's have to be male?)

E3 2014 - Dudewitbow - 2014-06-12

Razmos Wrote:was it ever mentioned in the lore that all the Link's have to be male?)

the only requirement is that Zelda must be female(I think), as its a historical blood line trait passed down by royal blood through constant reincarnation. Link can technically be anyone as "Link" is any person who contains the "spirit of the hero"(since its a spirit, doesnt have to be a heroine spirit) who is chosen by the goddess.

Funny thing, GameXplain even made the comment of what if Link was female and how would the community react to Link being female for the first time in the series.

This is exactly the conclusion that my friend and I came to while talking about the footage and the quote. Demise's curse only dictates that his evil, those with the goddess bloodline and those with the spirit of the hero will be locked in an eternal battle. No where is it ever said that the Hero has to be male, or, furthermore, that the one who hails from the goddess' bloodline cannot also be the one with the spirit of the hero.

I would fucking LOVE if Nintendo was doing this. It would be a great change of pace and twist to the franchise. A protagonist who is both "Link" and "Zelda" in one. Yes please.

i don't want this, in all seriousness. switch the sex of link and zelda if you want, but don't make them the same.

i doubt s/he is both, half the game is meeting the other thirds of the triforce, the one you have to protect and the one you have to defeat.

I'm pretty sure the article stating that Link "may not be who we think it is" was clickbait. Clickbait that worked apparently.

Possibly something that just got lost in translation.

But yeah, if you look at apicture of the person wearing the green tunic (how do people fanart this up so quickly?) it's pretty clearly the same link as always

I heavily dislike the idea of going from having 1/3rd of the triforce to now having 2/3rds as well as being the ruler of hyrule. It isn't even a game at that point.

The triforce doesn't split randomly. It always goes to 3 people if someone with an imbalance of the 3 elements that make it up (power, wisdom, courage) is the first to touch it. It is also sentient as seen in the openings to oracle of ages/seasons and the end of LTTP where it speaks to link.

If an imbalanced person does manage to touch it first, they get to keep the piece that best suits that persons character, and the other two seek out people representing the remaining two elements, which are normally Zelda and Link. It's been shown multiple times that link would be able to touch the triforce and make a wish immediately because he has all 3 elements in balance (unlike Ganondorf), but he still only ever receives the one piece when it gets split. It's also seemingly transferable to someone else with similar traits (as seen in twilight princess when Zelda gives midna the triforce of wisdom).

So even if you did end up with someone who ended up both as zelda reincarnation and with the spirit of the hero, they'd still likely only receive one piece of the triforce with the other one ending up with someone else

IGN have played starfox Wii U.

http://uk.ign.com/videos/2014/06/12/weve-played-star-fox-for-wii-u-e3-2014
Confirmed it's still very early in development and they're still looking for a development partner and they want the game out in the next year.
