I wonder if GameFreak will ever acknowledge what happened here.
I think Nintendo has to be really puzzled why Pokemon Red was the highest viewed stream on Twitch in just 2 weeks...
I can see future popularity polls being incredibly skewed now. They'll see Pidgeot, Flareon, Lapras, Zapdos, and of all pokemon to choose... Venomoth and Omastar... as huge favorites. A guy at Nintendo will be like "huh... why does NA and Europe like Venomoth and Omastar so much?".

I decided to run through all of Johto on my old SS file before restarting it and noticed Johto has a lot of ledges. I also expect the Ice Path to be very entertaining.
I also hope they use the artstyle of HGSS again sometime, it would look amazing in 3D with the way they used cliffs and ledges. For some reason the other games feel rather flat to me now.

One ledge that scares me in GSC is the ledge below Blackthorn City. If we mess up, we have to circle half the map again because it can only be entered through Ice Path.

The new democracy/anarchy system is much better, it automatically switches to democracy every hour but you can vote anarchy as a normal input command (like a/b/up/whatever) and if it is the highest voted in that 30 seconds it'll revert back to anarchy until the beginning of the next hour.

It's alright for now when we don't need democracy.
If the pomegranate ever really hits the fan and we do get to a point where we actually need democracy, then the systems terrible. Assholes will still spam anarchy, and unless you have some obvious mutual agreement on democracy for every single move then they can easily be overtaken by even a relatively small number of people.
Essentially, the start9 assholes now can turn democracy off for an entire hour even if it really is needed (like when we were at the massacre at the rock tunnel pc for nigh 8 goddamn hours, before democracy took over and finally got the game moving again in ~half an hour)

I was hoping the whole "Start9" bullshit would have been removed since when has any command ever needed 5+ moves in a row? Even the Safari Zone only used 4 at the most.

No rudeness intended but how is this new anarchy/democracy system any better?
I doubt democracy will stay active for more than 5 minutes ever.
Just the fact that you have 6 possible inputs to actually do something vs one to force anarchy back into effect means anarchy is more likely to win because of how many trolls who will do anything they can to end democracy.

I do find it funny how people keep saying "It's about the story, not the progress" when trying to argue against Democracy, yet the story is made BECAUSE of the progress.
