Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Flonne - 2013-09-09

Just beat the game, Ultima fight was really fun, red suit guy fight is the new top of the annoying list with a bad party.

Switched to Thaumatarge instead, and holy cow the fire/ice attunement mechanic is awesome. I love how it just runs off your mana pool. Definitely taking this further.

Fights become very mechanical later on, every job has it's well, job. Black Mages are the heavy caster DPS and are sought after for funs simply because they hit massive damage at level 50.

Sleep is almost more important than their damage output.

Sleep is divine Biggrin

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Dusk - 2013-09-10

Sleep seems super OP, is there no limit to the number of targets it can be placed on?

Yay for cooking.

Only limitation is the duration halves each time the enemy wakes up.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Foolyz - 2013-09-10

I have not met a single BLM or WHM that uses Sleep or Repose correctly, if at all. It's hilarious.

Also, jealous of your level 50 CUL, man. That's a sexy frying pan you have there. Cook me some food? XD

I got Blacksmithing to level 30 and then died inside. How anybody can level a craft to 50 is beyond me.

If you turn in HQ materials in field leves, you get 3x exp.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Thunder - 2013-09-11

I ran out of leves and then it became hell.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - ★★★★★ - 2013-09-11

;~; I want to play but I missed the open beta by like 3 hours.

Is it really 3x? I thought it was 2x. I haven't turned in Tradecraft leves in a while, so I really don't know. Also, you can't turn in HQ materials for Fieldcraft leves. Those have special requirements for extra exp (exceed a threshold for certain %bonus, collect above x mats for bonus exp).

Thunder Wrote:I ran out of leves and then it became hell.

Did you use any leves on battle classes? I hate that they are less "worth it" on said classes compared to crafting and gathering, but that seems to be the case.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Thunder - 2013-09-11

I used around 60 or so Leves and it's 2x or 200% as they say. However, the 200% is a bonus so you also get the normal reward so technically it's 3x.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Polantaris - 2013-09-11

I hate how overall useless leves are for Disciples of War/Magic. They give less EXP than regular quests, less EXP than FATEs of the same level, and overall are more tedious and sometimes more annoying than both. I've fallen behind in levels for the Story stuff and often find myself trying to do leves, only to take thirty minutes to an hour and get a very small amount of EXP in comparison to if I was FATE hopping.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Tikey - 2013-09-11

There are some crafting leves that allow you to complete it up to 3 times consecutively (usually a 0/3 turn in) at the cost of 1 levemete. That's how I got CUL to 50 in about a day. The level 50** recipes are impossible to make without level 50 botany because they require fire and water clusters as well as 315 control (only have 218 with level 30-50 gear).

Oh, I will have to find those leves! I'm currently using my abundance of leves to level BTN (26 currently). Leveling is EXTREMELY tedious without leves, and I just re-discovered them today, ha. Currently getting 21k per leve, which is not bad at all for 6 minutes of work (I bump up the level of this particular leve since it doesn't really have a limit on gathering attempts like most do).

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Tikey - 2013-09-11

I just starting leveling up my botany but it's so painfully slow. I don't want to use my leves on them because they give garbage exp. :/

After much deciding, I decided to buy this. I enjoyed playing during beta and heard end game is much more fun so I thought why not?
