Regardless, I don't really see the problem in this change.
You can easily do PB without Rush.
v2 Cygnus Knights can be managed without Rush.
Empress + CPB will be rather tricky without Rush.
this is mainly based on my duo experience
PB without rush or KB means that he'll turn around and start seducing at some point, annoying plus deadly for me.
v2 cygnus are a horrible mess if they start going after the DPS, and you can't keep/rush/magnet them away (experienced this yesterday, no KB v2 was certainly funny for me, not so much for the evan.
empress has laughable range when going right, but when she turns left, that nado hits two screens away, and she will use it a lot, so because of being unable to be rushed, she'll be spamming nadoes a lot more.
i don't know enough about CPB to give an opinion there.

The funny thing about our Empress, apparently KMS Empress casts Nado and Fire Phoenix when facing right, in addition to facing left, but our Empress only casts said skills when facing left.
When our Empress gets "fixed", then it's gonna be hell.

@2:05, on the bottom-right screen, you can see Empress cast Tornado and Fire Phoenix when facing right.

Another thing with that update is the time to kill those bosses is cut in half such as Von Leon, Empress and Horntail. Maybe it's just me, but does the HP increase for all of them seem a bit much?

Its only the first part of their winter update. Its too soon to say until we see what other changes they are going to make to the game.

The end? The Black Mage has just been resurrected.
Like Kirov said, this is only part one of the update and you guys just have to wait till next week to find out what's completely being added in the first update.

All I can say about the new damage cap/range cap is that I feel like this will balance out the DPS of classes, since they're unrestricted by the damage cap. Previously classes with the most hits/second were the highest DPSers but now that you need a 2500% damage per hit skill on top of a 2m range to "cap" your DPS, it gives classes with fewer hits/second and higher %s on skills a massive buff.
Also, do you think they'll bring back 1 hit Blasts for pallies? 6 hits looks really funky and weird.

The damage range cap is visual, the actual range can go beyond what is displayed.

I hope they do unless 50mil cap is actually considered "low"...
But I do like ACB being 6 hits but the animation just needs to be bigger.

We have to deal with Lotus before we deal with the Black Mage.
Wizet might even have Guwara come out of retirement just to drag things out.
Plus, I'd think they'd advertise something like that. (But then again, the Black Mage WAS heavily advertised with Tempest, and we all know how that turned out.....)

Because Luminous and the Black Mage plays an important role in the storyline. It also showed us how the Black Mage was sealed a hundreds years ago in Maple World.

first off, kms empress used to NOT use those skills when facing right, but after some recent patch, it started to use those skills even when facing right
im not sure about jms, because i dont play it, but people in kms manage to solo empress with the following jobs
Bowmaster(with 800k range or smthing), Merc, BaM, Mech, Kaiser, DS, Phantom, Dualblader
if u look at the jobs that did it, u'll notice they have enough DPM to kill it, and has some base Status resistance ( mech got 30% from hyper, bm 10% -> 15% after hyper patch), defense, healing skills, et.c
as for mech, they got a hyper skill which decreases the dmg they get hit by 30%, and hp 30% increase. the only guy who made it on a mech also had 50k HP.
a lot of people are complaining how hard it got though.
