Mass roleclaim, my internet dcing makes me forget to unbold a vote which leads to the vote being screwed up (though I think one other person didn't unbold as well?), and then Tobi got drunk. Everyone eventually dies and fades out of the collective memory of the human populace. /slit Batman Mafia Discussion Thread - Mute - 2010-12-05 Swerve Wrote:Doesn't matter. Do we value ourselves for the purposes we transcribe for ourselves, or are we not just walking husks whose lives are dictated by the strings that pull at our limbs? Are we nothing more than a thought in a greater brain, signals that dissipitate in a miniscule neuron chain? Do I think I matter because I must, because I need to survive these days with ego-centric thrust? If I let down my constant guard, who will make sure that I won't be discard? Do I think I matter because I must, because I need to survive these days with ego-centric thrust? If I let down my constant guard, will I only play useless parts? Take the model of the ant. Even down to the tiniest pupa each member of the colony serves a function vital to the continued survival of the entirety of the group. The workers work, gathers gather, hunters hunt, queen reproduces, warriors fight and defend. Humans seem to have lost that dynamic aspect to their existence, so more than nothing we are just that, thoughts racing to and fro, frantically searching within ourselves for a self-validating reason to continue the pointlessness of our existence. It's not a rhyme if you suck at grammar. However, it also doesn't rhyme very well. Batman Mafia Discussion Thread - Mute - 2010-12-05 And that diminishes the value of the message it portrays? Poem's don't have to rhyme at all, and the kind that don't are the ones i prefer to write. for instance, stuff ive got posted in this thread. not all of it is rhyming poems. Batman Mafia Discussion Thread - Mephisto - 2010-12-05 I'm not disagreeing with you at all, Mute. But Swerve was trying to rhyme, and you don't rhyme a sentence by concluding it with a grammar fail. That's just not how it's done. Batman Mafia Discussion Thread - Mute - 2010-12-05 Given the context, i doubt he was intending to rhyme. Yeah. Ego-centric thrust is a common existentialist phrase. |
