Though, odds are that cooldown will be reduced some, 60 seconds makes it about as worthless as Heaven's Hammer used to be. 20-30 seconds is probably a better range. [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - xLeviathan - 2009-11-19 Hurf. I don't really foresee a very high DPS, but probably very strong. Battle mage definitely. Back to KMS' regular servers when this comes out. [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Dual - 2009-11-19 Wow man. I want this so hard, and I hate ranged classes. Now I'm gonna have to figure out what to max with this crazy ass set of skills. [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Kevvl - 2009-11-19 Looks like a mage class finally not built entirely around destroying the entire map with one button press. I like it. [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - KaidaTan - 2009-11-19 Moonlapse Wrote:Just my opinion after playing other RPGs. Imo mages are supposed to be a good ranged attacking class, or supportive class with a wide array of party buffs and monster debuffs. This class seems more like a mage I'd build in Elder scrolls 4 or something.Mages are also supposed to also be able to tank more damage than any other class? [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - FrozNlite - 2009-11-19 RDal Wrote:And what of the people who already have Arch Mages? And trained them to over 140? WE CAN USE OUR EQUIPS WITH THE EVAN! ![]() Nah but I completely agree. As an F/P it's disappointing to see my class rendered obsolete, but this class is such an exciting prospect for those of us who play Magicians because we like the concept of magic, and finally can prove our worth in this game. This class honestly has everything ArchMages are missing to be valuable classes (as someone put it, Evan is the perfect fix to the poorly designed ArchMage), so much so that I truly cannot see a way to "upgrade" ArchMages to the playing field Evan just set. And of course, it helps to be Lv. 200... Biotype Wrote: LOVE I think Evan is now the sole reason many of us will keep playing this game. Screw making a NL; if Illusion + other buffs is as godly as it appears, a Night Lording character capable of withstanding tons of attacks, mobbing, and protecting party members destroys half the classes in the game. So this now begs the question: what OTHER classes do Evan obliterate? As they are now they could potentially surpass not only the DPS of ArchMages but perhaps several other classes as well...not to mention, of course, their mobbing and party skills, which already give them a leg-up in comparisons. [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Bountyan - 2009-11-19 Good thing I made a Priest, already have all the INT equips. :0 [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Dusk - 2009-11-19 FrozNlite Wrote:WE CAN USE OUR EQUIPS WITH THE EVAN! Of course you can say that because you're level 200 and don't really need to keep playing on your original character. Many people don't want to see the original classes replaced for brand new classes, because we like the way the originals work and we're attached to our current characters. At any rate, I don't see too much replacing going on as long as AMs have ultimates and these don't. The DPS looks to be okay, but still falls short of what most warriors and ranged classes can pump out, especially in versions with high att pots like Onyx Apples for cheap. This class seems to have potential to be a lot of fun, but not the way it's currently set up. One AoE replaces another and skills become obsolete after like 20 levels of using them. More 1-2 second cooldowns and a way of buffing lower level skills to keep them relevant would be nice. Evan put the final nail in the coffin. Bishops closed the lid. They DO have ultimates, much cheaper with higher base attack. The only real advantage to an Arch Mage was its single target being greater than a Bishop's. But now they've lost it. Between Evan and Bishops, Arch Mages are history. [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Dual - 2009-11-19 I'm wondering... is that shield skill a party buff? Because it says it has the range of hyper body. :f6: [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Teppi - 2009-11-19 Teppi Wrote:evan is such a rip off of other jobs....fixed [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Turtally - 2009-11-19 OH MY FREAKING GOD. THIS IS THE CLASS I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. DO WANT. c Edit: Okay, the shock has settled in. Time to make preparations. [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Dual - 2009-11-19 Well, at least this class is going to HAVE to use Luk, because there's no way someone could use an elemental staff with this class, considering it has all the elements inside it. [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Fiel - 2009-11-19 Who says you can't have two lukless elemental wands? Very few areas in the game require you to have opposing elements (like Ghost Pirates) [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Spideyjvc - 2009-11-19 Dusk Wrote:This class seems to have potential to be a lot of fun, but not the way it's currently set up. I was thinking that too. The skills get replaced way too fast. They should have made the skills more dependent on your level, while keeping most skills with base damage that's relatively the same. This makes it so your level contributes a lot to your damage. It makes it so that first stage skills are useful in final stage while not being overpowered at low levels. Or maybe not. The main problem with that idea is that your power will be based a lot more on your level than other classes. I wouldn't mind this, but I'm not sure if many people enjoy the idea of having level being a huge damage decider, possibly more so than equips and stats. [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Worthyness - 2009-11-19 looks like fun o-o Mages never really interested me... At least it won't use dex like the last 3 classes they released... Any word on why they get a stick that's a 1 handed sword for a nub weapon? o-O [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Cyanne - 2009-11-19 Here are some clips of the charge-up ice skill: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYdzDXrQ5no http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUkw3T87k9c Quest SP: O_o
[1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Fiel - 2009-11-19 I did a regex search through the quest data to look for free SP being given out. Below is a list of all of the free SP you get for each job: 1st Mastery: 7 2nd Mastery: 7 3rd Mastery: 7 4th Mastery: 2 5th Mastery: 5 6th Mastery: 1 [1.2.267] Evan Info & Skill Tables - Corn - 2009-11-19 You could also like, not put skill points into one element. It should be easy to do this since the skill is gonna get replaced 20 levels later anyways... |
