Really, from what I've seen, durability goes down regardless of quality. I had a superior item randomly break from full runs in 2nd spine while a few levels later, a weak quality could go nearly two runs. Someone said it was based off the amount of times you hit AND get hit which would actually make sense for the randomness.

And the quality only affects the def/att I believe. Stats like +hp/mp (not totally sure about the base +int/vit w/e stats since they seem to go along with the def) do not affect the quality which is why you would see some weak items being better with exceptional ect. So really, quality only matters on weapons and even then I wouldn't worry much about it :/.

Oh and the difference between 30 jump and 1 leap is pretty big.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wixCNYkA5HE&feature=channel
But yeah I agree I don't see why I would ever use it as a battlemage <_<. I mean I do jump to surprise some people but I need to actually hit them in the process for it to work. Jumping that high...lol.

Dyxanije Wrote:Apparently Leap increases jump height by 20%. I don't have it so I can say how useful it is. I imagine Gunners getting the most benefit from Leap because it would make a nice combination with Aerial Fire.

Ashe Fork is a Slayer skill that makes a downward stab while in mid-air and creates a shock wave once the Slayer lands. I am not sure if height affects Ashe Fork's damage but you do need to reach a certain height to activate the shock wave affect.

I think it does, but I'm not sure nice Asuras can't jump lol.

So, I'm thinking about restarting my spitfire (yes, my level 40 spitfire lol). I really messed up my build. I have 180 completely wasted points and about 100 semi-wasted points.

This is going to be my new build.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Kevin - 2009-12-11

Wow didn't know Leap lets you jump THAT high. Leap + bracelet + jump shoes + wind on the behemoth.. (not that it'd be useful, lol)

Re: quality, I'm guessing that it's how fast the item will break, but in backwards order (e.g. Superior breaks fastest). I'm probably totally off the mark but that's what I've been seeing with my own stuff.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Dyxanije - 2009-12-11

Refer to this thread for information on item quality and durability.

What kind of build are you going for? Looks like a pretty unorthodox build to me, but as long as it suits you, go ahead.

The build I'm going for, just to throw that out there.

Alrighty, I guess I can see why now. haha Though I still don't think it's necessary if someone is only using it for escape. Even so, it's neat. I'm surprised it's so effective.

DFO on easy mode! December 16th.

FelixTM Wrote:I've seen some argument that it has to do with Durability strength. The better the quality, the longer it will take the item to break down. That makes the most sense to me, but I can't really see it being true either... I can't notice a difference.

Like others have said, even Weak items can have better stats than Superior ones of the exact same type. If it has to do with stats, I have no idea what it affects. Honestly, I just stopped paying attention to quality. Pay attention to the stats.

MasPan, is that General skill the one that increases Jump strength for a short amount of time? I know absolutely nothing about any of the non-mage classes, but...I thought that skill would never have a use. How is it useful to you? Curiously interested.

Yes, it is. It allows me to fling multiple fireballs with Kalla when airborne, and from a greater height, basically allowing me to "Aerial Fire" them if you want to use a gunner term. Still iffy on the idea of having to use 2 buffs that give a very obvious idea of my next move in PvP, as people barely give Soul Benders room to buff once as is. Might be possible while hiding inside Saya/Rhasa.

Basically, the general strategy with Kalla is to use Leap to get maximum airtime to allow for the most slashes (most fireballs launched). Also allows for more air mobility and more hang-time. Finally, it acts as a timer to alert us when we can use Kalla's secondary ability.

No windmill? Are you insane? I'm assuming that's a pve build. Level 1 steyr is pretty helpful in both pvp and pve. Black Roses isn't very good from what I hear, but you have it maxed in your build.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - mrcowcow - 2009-12-11

Yeah it's a PvE build. My build's a bit unusual as I chose to get 2 nade 2 bullet instead of the usual 1 nade 2 bullet or 2 nade 1 bullet. I don't plan on having Steyr since with both dual bullets and dual grenades, I'll have enough to toggle between. And I maxed Black Roses since I heard that it's very helpful if it's positioned correctly on a boss, and using their final blast when they're about to expire is useful.

What the hell is the point of giving us easier levelling without raising the level cap? It's not like it takes any time to hit 40 >_>

Only reason I'm still 35 is because I only play DFO when I'm bored of MS.

To give us even more quests we dont want to finish for fear of losing the exp forever.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - IllegallySane - 2009-12-12

Other versions don't have such a steep leveling curve as we do, and once the cap raises to 60 if we don't have those quests we'd be stuck grinding to 60 instead of having quests take us to 60.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - mrcowcow - 2009-12-12

I sincerely hope that Nexon makes the exp curve more favorable for us. I mean, I would appreciate it if we didn't have go through a single level with no quests like some of us have already done. The more epic quests, or even some general quests, the more of storyline we get to see. That's a reason why I even play this game.

What I'm saying is, why are they changing the rates before the cap is raised?

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Zephyr - 2009-12-12

anyone knows how to work out sn elementalist? for lvl 60 of course

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Holypie - 2009-12-12

PvE or PvP? I only know about PvE which is pure dark or dark/fire.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - FelixTM - 2009-12-12

Since I've mentioned my other chars and have been back to leveling them the past few days, I figured I might as well show 'em off. Let you guys know the IGNs, too, if you wanna do anything.

Just don't turn in the quests? Goggleemoticon

I mean, when they do raise the level cap, you can instantly turn in everything for instant profit and EXP.
