AHH YISS SHINY CHARM.

So can anyone tell me if the effects of the Shiny Charm also include breeding or is it just wild encounters?

From what I've read about people researching it, it's assumed that it does. If you also breed with a foreign pokemon, you'll be popping out shinies like no tomorrow. Except not really...

I am well aware of the Masuda Method, so that is what I am doing. ^u^

Are there any plans to make a team-building/team-help thread for X/Y? I'm trying to build a new semi-competitive team just for some casual online play and battles with friends, and I just felt like my team was either a little lop-sided or was just missing something. If anyone wants to take a look, maybe give some helpful tips or changes, this is the team I was planning:

 Team (WIP)

SuperNerd I'll give it a shot, though I do think there's an older thread for this kind of stuff. I like using bReakMyTeam when I make teams, just to see if I have any glaring weaknesses.

Thanks for the site; didn't know about but I'll definitely make use of it.

Anyone have a Vullaby and/or Meloetta in B/W/B2/W2 they can trade and trade back so I can complete the Unova dex on White 2?

EDIT: Don't need them anymore, have a friend that had them. Smile

Quote:Three new moves have been discovered through hacking X and Y. The first one appears to be an event-exclusive move in the vein of Celebrate, the second two may have something to do with Zygarde. It has also been discovered through hacking that Hoopa's Ability is Magician and its stats are 80/110/60/150/130/70. Volcanion's ability is Water Absorb and its stats are 80/110/120/130/90/70.
Hold Hands, Normal-type, Special, Power: --, Accuracy --, PP: 40
The user and an ally hold hands. This makes them very happy.

Thousand Arrows, Ground-type, Physical, Power: 90, Accuracy: 100, PP: 10
This move also hits opposing Pokemon that are in the air. Those Pokemon are knocked down to the ground.

Thousand Waves, Ground-type, Physical, Power: 90, Accuracy: 100, PP: 10
The user attacks with a wave that crawls along the ground. Those hit can't flee from battle.
Hot damn, Thousand Arrows looks great. I wonder if it affects things with Levitate...

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - CakesXD - 2014-04-14

So now we have 3 useless moves with Splash, Celebrate and Hold Hands. Okay...

Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves sound amazing. I wonder if they have to do with Zygarde's signature move, Land's Wrath (same type, same BP, same PP).

I wonder if it'll get a Forme Change or held item to affect which version of the move it gets? Arrows sounds the best of the 3, but all of them are impressive.

Bump!
Hoopa and Volcanion's in-game events have been found in the games coding, unlocked when you bring the pokemon to certain places:

EDIT: Eurgh, I was gonna copy paste the pomegranate here but the post keeps coming out weird and I can't be bothered fixing it.
So here's the link.

I guess that's the mystery of the missing editor-in-chief solved.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - SuperNerd - 2014-05-23

Dunno if anyone else saw this, but... in honor of (almost) 100-million trades via GTS, they'll be giving out a Vivillon with a new, unique pattern as the next special distribution event. I say almost because they are technically only at around 90-million, so they won't do this until 100-million is actually hit.

Page all about it here.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - Razmos - 2014-05-24

The other special Vivillon pattern (Pokeball Vivillon) is already being distributed too at Poke Centers in Japan. in case anyone was wondering. So it's likely we aren't going to get them, unless the pattern is breedable.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - ExtremeMonotreme - 2014-05-26

I doubt the pattern will be breedable.. considering Vivillon patterns have been tied to starting-region for our save files..

I'm hopeful though.
