I'm definitely saddened to see Naruto go, I think I've been following -naruto for as long as I've been playing Maple, so 8 years maybe? The ending was great for the most part, there-s only a couple things that bothered me though:
First, yeah sure, Hinata won Naruto over in the end, but there might not have been one single time the 2 of them had interacted with each other as a couple... EVER. Heck she could have been shown hugging Naruto at Neji-s burial and that would have counted, but no... Kishimoto handled this as if he was bitterly pleasing the fans of the series with it, against his own desires.
Second, a modern society developed alongside the Ninja one? Sure we might not see anymore of the world of Naruto after this, but putting a metropolis alongside Konoha's village makes whatever one can imagine of the future of Konoha really messed up.
For what I got Boruto will get its own little manga next year, so I'll be sure to follow it.

The upcoming movie depicts the events between chapter 699 and 700 that lead to their relationship.
That movie is written by kishi and is all about their relationship developing, the manga didn't show them going straight to being a couple right away, it just showed us that eventually 15 years later they are a couple. That relationship could obviously and easily have developed in those 15 years. Not that i wouldn't have wanted some chapters devoted to developing their relationship after the war, but instead we get a movie doing just that.

Oda returned the gift too, the one piece chapter this week had the "O" in the title card replaced with the Naruto leaf symbol, nami wearing a dress with the leaf symbol all over it, and her standing in front of someone who is clearly meant to be naruto (eating luffys trademark meat, while luffy eats ramen), as well as a few other small references
Also it might be a coincidence, but Nami, Luffy (Rufi) and Tony Tony Chopper are the 3 strawhats he chose to be on the cover.

Ah, it ended. The first of the big three to end.
I feel sad really. For all the pomegranate I gave this manga, I have fond memories from reading and discussing it with peeps online and irl. VS threads and theories based on myths and pomegranate, it was all fun as hell.
Anyway, I usually prefer gloomy endings but this one is the exception. After so many years it feels good to get some definite closure. I still think that it's pineappleed up that Sakura still loved Sasuke after all the pomegranate that happened but eh.
Not much to say about the final chapter itself, except fat Anko. Also, did Lee + Tenten happen or...?

Could Sakura even love Sasuke at all?. I think it was never really stablished how much time team 7 spent together before Sasuke went rogue, however I would say it wasn't that long, plus they were kids when they interacted together... how the heck do you develop feelings so deep and for so long for someone, that on top of being a jerk to everyone they knew, tried to kill them a few times?
Despite Malthes explaniation, I still think Kishimoto wanted Sakura to realize she loved Naruto in the end and leave Sasuke alone, but had to go against it because of the support of the fans for NaruHina. Kushina would be the best proof to it, everything she did and said kept hinting NaruSaku.

I think I would have preferred it if Sasuke died, Naruto got his Rinnegan, and either Sakura died, or ended up with Naruto. Seeing Sakura & Sasuke's daughter it just doesn't feel right.

The people kishimoto worked with have told him multiple times that hinata would make a far better heroine than sakura would. This ending has been planned and hinted at for a long time (chapter 437 and 614/615 comes to mind as very specific indicators for this)
Just saying.
Series would've been better with both sasuke and sakura dying though. Two worst characters in the series for sure.

Sasuke would've been amazing if he wasn't so angsty, but then again his clan is supposedly cursed to be emo if something they loved dies. Not sure how tongue-in-cheek that is. The massive plot armor didn't really help either. Sakura just wasn't proactive enough. She's swole as hell thanks to her training, but it kinda came a little too late after years of being useless.

People's main complaint about sasuke was his actions and ideas didn't make any sense whatsoever. Yeah, my brother did everything to protect konoha so I'll destroy it? That's just bullshit. Sakura's problem was keeping on loving sasuke even after he did all these horrible things. Seriously, their relationship is as close to domestic violence as Naruto can get.

I know. It's why I mentioned "on a grander scale", aka escalated. Homer is a bumbling fool, but Marge still loves him. Sasuke is batpomegranate crazy, has a very crappy train of logic most of the time, burned many bridges, and nearly destroyed his hometown (if it weren't for a dead Itachi telling him not to do it), but Sakura still wants his d'ick.
As for the "let's make babies" bit, the final time skip is many years after all. If I had to guess judging on how everyone aged and adding in the children, perhaps a good 10-15 years or so. A lot can change in that time. If nothing else, at least it sunk the Naruto x Sakura ship; we all knew that went nowhere compared to Naruto x Hinata.
