Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - IllegallySane - 2009-12-09 I created and power leveled a second Priest today, to level 14. Going to advance him to Crusader in preparing for whenever the Priest patch arrives. Going from a support to offense/support class sounds nice. Loving Star in the Sky on my Exorcist. Button mashing to get a perfect home run and to hear the comical sound of the enemies flying away makes me happy inside.
Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - MasPan - 2009-12-09 Jormungandr Wrote:Yeah that ice wave is fast, whole map, and 1hko. Can't wait to see it =p I'd love to PvP on my Bender anytime (MenosPan, lv 35). I have abandoned PvP on my Launcher (PvE built, which means PvP is basically me constantly running away and sniping), though may pick it up again just to get to Glad 2 for the SP. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - FelixTM - 2009-12-10 I've done it. I've finally achieved perfect happiness with my Witch build (I know I obsess over it way too much, but it's fun).

100 points saved for Mana Shield. 50 points saved for Fusion Craft.
I've been stressing so much because I've always tried building my skills around what I've actually already taken in-game, refusing the idea of a reset. However, I could not find anything that made me perfectly happy. I hate Lollipop. I regret getting it. I regret ever caving into all the praise for it. I do not use it. I do not need it. I do not care that it hardly costs any points--it is an overrated waste! And of course with Broomstick Spin, I was leveling it to 5 for Collider (mine is at 3, currently). I am not getting Collider, so that's 70 points wasted in Broomspin. I'm not okay with that. It only needs to be level 1. If I don't reset, that's a total 110 points wasted between Lollipop and Spin. I can't accept that. So I finally realized I might as well just bite the bullet and get a reset when I'm 5x or 60. I figure I can take advantage of trying some things that way, as well. I'll probably continue with Broomspin to 5, and then get Collider to help me through 4x and some of 5x. Don't know. Regardless, I have to get one. My build needs to be perfect for me or it will drive me mad. Another driving force behind this decision was Manteau. Ever since the beginning I wanted to max it. But I kept taking points out of it to work other things... I did not like that. Hell, I even considered dropping it to 3 at one point because the Witch patch annoyed me. I got over it, though. Manteau is still Manteau. Plus, I noticed, despite the change from invin to Super Armor, it got a Blindness buff. That is one of the main reasons I love high level Manteau in PvP so much. It's my dirty little secret weapon. That leaves around 100 (120 ish) points for whatever I want. I have a few ideas already. - 4 Disenchant, 80 points - 2 more Fusion Craft, 100 points - As much as possible in Uppercut - As much as possible in Magic Critical Hit I'm still not convinced I want to waste points in Disenchant. More Fusion Craft would mainly be for dungeons, which would probably be a waste. It's an option, nonetheless. If I go with either of those, the leftover points will just go in Uppercut or Magic Crit. All that said, I'm finally happy. It's simple, it's neat and it's perfect for me. Everything I like and want is maxed. Clean, three element build. Completely Fire-less. Fits my style and allows me to PvP decently, as well as solo dungeons. I dislike having to buy a reset, but what can you do? lol Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Dusk - 2009-12-10 What's the point of 2 Befriend Jacky if you have 0 Jackyl o_o (Follow up question: why do you have 0 Jackyl?) Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - FelixTM - 2009-12-10 Dusk Wrote:What's the point of 2 Befriend Jacky if you have 0 Jackyl o_o Annoyingly, it's a prereq for Fusion Craft. No way around that. Because the only Fire skill I like is Lava Potion. I hate Shururu and would never get it. I'd much rather stick with being Fire-less. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Dusk - 2009-12-10 Ah, okay. I was wondering where all those extra points came from, and I didn't see that you had 0 Shururu. I find Shururu very useful as a giant grenade in PvP, even if it's pretty useless in PvE except for to help me set up Acid Rain =/ Also Lava Potion kicks ass for zoning in PvP. I'd have a similar build to yours, but without the max Manteau and with the minimum level of the forementioned fire skills. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Zephyr - 2009-12-10 Okay what the eff do i do now... i have like 50 hp potions, but no mana potions... screw going AFK for the regen its slow and boring... and regen wont save me at bosses like the one in blood prison and his oh so fuckin stupid permanent super armor... I already hate behemoth with all my soul... Yea, he's a pain for classes that depend on juggling. My advice is to hit him with power moves or something. Partying may be your only other option. Thank god he's slow as pineapple, he'll be easy to Saya+Rhasa+Bremen and then tombstone to death. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - xSonyx - 2009-12-11 MasPan Wrote:power moves Yeah...sad fate of a BM :<. I still remember full swing doing like...900 rofl. Still I didn't have much trouble with him even on solo kings. I pretty much just comboed normally and just made sure I'd constantly dance through him back and forth with upper and palm. Also attacking at the right time kills the three blades he shoots out. Never really had mp problems either, mobbing was delicious there and saved tons of mp. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Zephyr - 2009-12-11 Yeah... lvl 11 palm doing 1200 is lame... Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - MasPan - 2009-12-11 Zephyr Wrote:Yeah... lvl 11 palm doing 1200 is lame... Luckily I'll be able to Saya him, then walk away, if I do it right, and he'll keep walking into a barrier. It's a shame my 2 heavy hitting attacks (Ghost Slash Drive and Tombstone) are both Shadow element though...he is resistant to it iirc. Can't juggle him with Full Moonlight Slash either. Interesting fight it shall be. Btw, playing mostly on MenosPan now. Lv 35 Soul Bender (95%). Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Jormungandr - 2009-12-11 Just a question, what does the ordinary, exceptional , superior, etc mean on weapons and armor. I thought it was how good the stats are, but just wanted to make sure, and also the exact order it goes in. I've seen "inferior" items be better in every stat than a "superior" though. Superior is the highest, and tends to sell for the most, despite not really mattering much. Is it really the same item (interms of color and actual item) because I seen a blue weak item be better than a gray exceptional. Red > Orange > Pink > Purple/Green > Blue > White In terms of base stats. He was referring to Item Quality, which only matters for a single item type (IE, a lv 10 katana). Comparing Superior of one item to Exceptional of another doesn't make sense, because that term only applies in relation to other items of the exact same name. Much like Felix, I've been toying around with builds for a LONG time. I think this is my final or near final version of my Soul Bender(Reaper)'s lv 60 build. ![]() I may take 2 points out of my awakening and get 4 more into Kazan. That's about the only thing I haven't decided for it yet. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - FelixTM - 2009-12-11 Jormungandr Wrote:Just a question, what does the ordinary, exceptional , superior, etc mean on weapons and armor. I thought it was how good the stats are, but just wanted to make sure, and also the exact order it goes in. I've seen some argument that it has to do with Durability strength. The better the quality, the longer it will take the item to break down. That makes the most sense to me, but I can't really see it being true either... I can't notice a difference. Like others have said, even Weak items can have better stats than Superior ones of the exact same type. If it has to do with stats, I have no idea what it affects. Honestly, I just stopped paying attention to quality. Pay attention to the stats. --- MasPan, is that General skill the one that increases Jump strength for a short amount of time? I know absolutely nothing about any of the non-mage classes, but...I thought that skill would never have a use. How is it useful to you? Curiously interested. All I've seen it used for is a big powerful ashe fork. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Dyxanije - 2009-12-11 Leap is supposedly good for when you are trapped in corners. I have heard people praise and bash it's usefulness, so it is mainly a preference utility skill. If you keyed it/them, you could quickly switch on the fly and escape. Does Leap add a ton of jump or something? Obviously it's worthless for mages, which is why I'm curious how other classes use it. If it's just for escaping, it seems like a waste of points. I don't know what the Ashe Fork skill Jormungandr was talking about is, though. I don't have it so I can say how useful it is. I imagine Gunners getting the most benefit from Leap because it would make a nice combination with Aerial Fire. Ashe Fork is a Slayer skill that makes a downward stab while in mid-air and creates a shock wave once the Slayer lands. I am not sure if height affects Ashe Fork's damage but you do need to reach a certain height to activate the shock wave affect. |
