There's talk going around about a Bronycon "West" 2013, that will take the alternative seasons of Bronycon East...so that would be Fall and Spring. It doesn't make sense, I know.
Everfree 2013, if you haven't herd is confirmed for July 5th~7th, 2013. If applies, we might end up having a Hawaii/SP Everfree meetup. Thing is, I'm organizing this one...Oh crap.
Canterlot Gardens MIGHT...and I mean MIGHT, have the entire Mane Six. Not confirmed as of yet.

As a side note to people who haven't heard: Winter BroNYcon is currently a no-go. This could change, but from what people are hearing from staffers, next one is summer.
There was also talk of EF and EQ:LA merging, which isn't a bad idea. The BroNYcon staff manages to do a great job, so that would be a great option for the west, especially since Purple Tinker isn't involved anymore, ugh.

That's why apparently people are splitting up and creating a Bronycon West. So i guess that rumor might not be as crazy as I thought it would be.
If so happens a Bronycon West happens, it would be a total double whammy. First off, if they alternate between seasons of it's Eastern counterpart, your not really giving the people time to R&R. Second, we have EFNW,EQ:LA,Kawaii-Con (aka.The Western Anime Convention second to Comic-Con) during the summer and spring and fall=No elbow room.

Long and short of it was that some kinda sad stuff happened at Everfree. The con itself did pretty well, and while on the whole the con was a massive success, there were a couple incidents that were major problems. One fan, who isn't very involved with the online fandom made a joke about grown men liking ponies, and got assaulted by another con attendee. Apparently there was some vocal harassment of the younger VA's as well.
Most of the stuff was pretty minor really- I did hear there were some sound issues.
There is one very vocal little whiner though, who is constantly claiming all fans of the show may as well be the scum of the earth. It's just noisy, and it's clogging up my tumblr feed.

I think the physical is where I start to have a bit more of an issue. If it was all vocal, I'd shrug it off more, not that I support it, it's just more the norm.

If it makes ya feel better, riots happening are the norm for soccer fans. Sports in general can cause a hell lotta violence for taking things so seriously to the point overly rowdy sports fans die or get hospitalized. Compared to a couple fans at a con getting physical it's hardly anything. Soccer/Futbol is true serious business.

All I gotta say is that there's a dark side to every fandom. It's not always Rainbow Dash and Sunshine, anyways.
But when it gets physical, that's where I question: "Is there any line between a Brony and something else?"
Verbal, fine, at least no one is getting their flank kicked, and it's civil...to a extent.
However, after digging around, these stories are False. I'm certain this time.
