Patch: Tespia 1.2.190 - Shippo the Fox - 2009-01-14

iFrancisco Wrote:Sigh, Shadowers are shafted still. I know some are excited about the reduction in the delay in BS, but few have realized this does nothing to change the bossing DPS. The assassinate>BS combo is still going to be the same, and the reduction in the BS delay will have no affect on it!

I would be considerably happier if they 1) sped up the slow animation of assassinate, or 2) fix the assassinate + SE GLITCH!, or 3) change BS so you can use it off edges or off the map. Compared to the boosts other classes are getting, this just phails in comparison. All this does is secure Shads as the lowest bossing class (Yes, I am admitting to that now).

DPS isn't everything you know.

Obviously, but it really is the only thing that Shadowers lack, as we excel in alot of other areas (survivability, training speed, etc.). It is just disappointing, that's all.

It's because they excel in many areas that they aren't meant to rape everyone else at one thing. It's the same with heroes. They're awesome at training and bossing, but not omfgodly at either like NLs are with bossing and paladins are with training.

You can't say near spammable Bstep won't completely own, though. :]

Patch: Tespia 1.2.190 - Sylphior - 2009-01-14

this is me just being lazy and forgetful, but can anybody post the Previous->Changed in skill levels?

Patch: Tespia 1.2.190 - Shippo the Fox - 2009-01-14

A lowered delay BStep is a love/hate thing from me. Of course its a a good update but there are just things it can bring up that I'll just won't like.

Patch: Tespia 1.2.190 - Russt - 2009-01-15

iFrancisco Wrote:2) fix the assassinate + SE GLITCH!
That wouldn't really do much. 15% chance to deal 740% damage instead of 600%. Big whoop, that's like a what? 1.035x increase over time?

SE is way overrated, and for that matter so is SI.

Yea, it is not a big increase, but the cost of getting a 3.5% increase for my current equips or anyone that is highly funded? That would cost in the hundreds of millions if not billions. Regardless, it is still glitched and needs to be fixed.

Patch: Tespia 1.2.190 - Takebacker - 2009-01-15

Patch: Tespia 1.2.190 - JoeTang - 2009-01-15

Criticalling Assassinate would help with uncharged damages more significantly.

What the pineapple @ above.

Yeah i know dude, she's hot, but HOLY PINEAPPLE that's annoying as pomegranate.

On-topic: Is anyone we know in KMST now? Spadow was, but he got kicked out or something right? I want to see the extent of these changes.

imo I think we'd be happier with 3.8+x multi or lower smoke cooldown Sad

I agree with you on this.

Aids Wrote:If they were so balanced, why does noone play Marksmen after the release of pirates? Also, I bet there is a level 200 of every class except Marksmen. This finally gives them a reason to level instead of ditching it like 90% of Xbows in these forums.

Marksmen honestly don't have it all that bad... training-wise, marksmen have a slight edge, and bossing-wise, you're mostly needed for SE anyways. A lot of it's because of the discrimination against crossbows in early times. Take a look at F/Ps; outright unarguably stronger than I/Ls at bossing in all of 2nd-4th jobs, easily faster training in 3rd job, and potentially up-to-par training in 2nd job. However, there are barely any around compared to I/Ls, and the highest level F/P is only like level 190. Mostly because of class discrimination in maple stone ages. I think that marksmen are underrated and don't really need these boosts, but it's a different story for classes like shadowers and paladins. Not that I'm not welcoming these boosts since I have a sniper though Big Grin

I want that girl! She's not annoying at all, well at least to me, damn those eyes and the expressions and the way she talks. She's awesome!

On topic, I'd like for Smokescreen to not be level 30 to max...

Patch: Tespia 1.2.190 - KajitiSouls - 2009-01-15

Takebacker Wrote:I don't think HHs reduction is affected by resistances...it's 99,999 every time, isn't it?

You'd want that wouldn't you? =P

If the monster has 100k HP or less, the monster's HP is reduced to 1. This is the case where elements don't really matter.

Otherwise, it's suspected to do the stated damage amount in the skill description. Testing this on a boss monster with just over 100k HP gives you a nice clarity picture. (you could do it on CGs, but then there's a human discrepancy issue because the HP bar is so small)

About the only really amazing thing about HH is that there's pretty much nothing that can escape its damage. It doesn't miss (lol GPQ golems) and it doesn't seem to be affected by super wDef (killing Tae Roon pretty much proves this last time I checked). Exceptions are monsters that are meant to be hurt only by the default attack, such as the Halloween Ghosts.

Wow, just pineappleing wow. I don't know what is worse the fact that she makes those videos or that people watch them.

Um, another yay for the boost?

I would want that...but i keep constantly reminding myself that i'm not a paladin anyway. xD

Actually now that i think about it a bit more, HH would just be amazing in general when a boss super def ups. o_o

Patch: Tespia 1.2.190 - Russt - 2009-01-15

Ahh video and audio unsynced D: Sorry, pet peeve.

@ JT I think crit multiplies over DS-charging. Not entirely sure on that, Assassinate's still really weird when charged. 600% is spammed Assassinate, anyway, so that's a 3.5% increase.
