There's a way to jump upwards on a Striker, you seemed to climb ropes a lot

Yes there is a way, and I did it a few times off camera (and once on) but I could not figure out how to replicate it. I tried double tapping up, jumping twice with up pressed, and many combinations in between. I am still not sure on how to do it.
