That's what I'm doing. On a side note: Next hot time event, keep vengeance or not?

The Archer Discussion Thread - Alilatias - 2011-03-23

How useful (or useless, or annoying) do you find Vengeance to be? I, for one, never plan on putting any points into it, unless the KMST updates do something about that obvious drawback of putting any points into the skill.

Got to 4th job last Friday. I've just been messing around, doing quests and farming Windraider Badges/Crimson Woods. I've somehow managed to gain 60% through all that messing around.

Huge congrats! How are you enjoying Hurricane?

Vengeance really isn't worth it to me. The fact that it's a passive skill just kills it for me.

Congrats on 4th Job!
I haven't touched Vengeance. My friend put a point on it, and she regretted it, basically for the same reason Maria did. The whole skill just needs to be redone entirely, IMO.

The Archer Discussion Thread - Locked - 2011-03-23

Vengeance is such a piece of sh`it.
Not only does it suck ass, but while sucking ass it stops you from attacking to activate its useless sh`it.

Very much. I can near-effortlessly chew through just about everything at Crimsonwood Mountain while trying to hunt for Crimson Wood. Who knows, maybe I'll find a Flamekeeper Cordon while hunting one of these days. Assuming they actually drop from Firebrands.

I'm also able to contribute a lot more during Ani raids, although I failed the last two Ani raids I participated in, on account of being the only fourth jobber or the highest DPS fourth jobber (read: not very good for the expedition at all >_>) present. Got 90 mil now, going to see if I can upgrade my bow now. Or participate in a MoN run.

Oh, Vengeance interrupts your attacks? Meh, another one for the 'scrap the skill entirely and give us a new mob skill in its place, or something that upgrades Arrow Rain/Inferno if a new mob skill isn't possible due to the likelihood that it'd be worth more than 10 SP and would thus require new mastery books' bin.

I feel like drawing plans on a Pirate Legend now...

More like you can't control when it activates. In other words, unlike Teleport Mastery, which you can enable or disable, Vengeance is always there and can probably activate when you don't want it to.

QUESTION:

My bow has +12 ATT potential. Is % Attack better for it or should I keep this until I'm able to mass-cube to Boss Damage? (Not for LHC, but the +ATT/% ATT would be for that.)

I'd keep the +12 attack and wait to mass cube personally karen

And wow Vengeance sounds more of a pain than actual help.

My bow had +12 atk from on the first magnifying glass. I regret cubing it. It's the best until you can get it to at least epic.

Atk % is better assuming you have alot of weapon atk gear, but wait til your able to mass-cube for boss damage. Vengeance skill is not that bad of a skill you guys are making it out to be. True that it does seem like a pointless skill to have since bowmasters already have 2 other knock-back skills, but its still better than hamstring Tongue

The Archer Discussion Thread - fodjgngf - 2011-03-29

What ever happened to them giving us actual useful skills instead of some stupid filler skills ._.

%ATT is the worst potential ever.

Vince dude what are you smoking?

When you get to 200 and have to choose between hamstring and vengeance, vengeance is the easy choice.

I really think you're better off not even using the SP.
When I had Vengeance on my bowmaster, it interrupted my attacking while I was using hurricane. Why would anyone want that?

I'm 200, I don't attack regular mobs on a normal basis.

I haven't played my Bowmaster in so long Sad

The Archer Discussion Thread - HighOnMushrooms - 2011-04-02

spent 60m on SE20 (Treasure monsters before the nerf lowered prices by a lot).
 Spoiler

The Archer Discussion Thread - Alilatias - 2011-04-04

Uh... Wait. What's this about a nerf on treasure monsters?

---

Took a break from hunting Crimson Woods today (gained 170-something Woods, along with about 60 mil and 20 60% Bow/10 60% Knuckle scrolls from Windraider Badges over the past week and a half, farming for an hour or two each day... Thank you free 2x drop event) and decided to go level up at LHC.

Managed to level up twice, so now I'm level 123. I have 6 SP in SE now. While it doesn't seem to make me as strong as putting more points into Bow Expertise, man does everyone else in parties still seem very appreciative of SE. Thinking about getting SE to 10 before I go out and break my leg over trying to get the books for Bow Expertise and maxing that.

I also finally spent the 20 mil for a hog. I kinda regret it, as it's only 10 speed above my regular walking speed. But I suppose a Silver Mane is just about essential?

Silver Mane's quite worth it to me, walking to travel is quite annoying even with max speed. At least to me.

So, know how I said I never made a Crossbowman?

I'm having fun with it. C: Though I, uh... deleted my 120 Wild Hunter so I could squeeze this character in. :I

It's okay, WHs suck :]

Soooo, I'm quite satisfied and reassured for leveling my DW now.. because I finally achieved my goal of hitting atleast 10k Hurricanes, clean Big Grin
I just hated seeing random 9ks or even 8ks.. now they're all 5 digit numbers :3
