I think Lala is debating that Nexon shouldn't have banned his/her character, but I'm not quite sure.

Did the scroll prices just suddenly plummet from 70m to 5m? Or did the prices drop in a constant rate, from 70m to 60m to 50m to 30m, etc?
I'd actually be buying 'em without worrying about a glitch/hack/exploit if it was the latter, maybe after seeing it drop past 30m I'd start to wonder what the hell happened. Reminds me of Dragon Khanjars and Khanjars, those boxes dropped them from, probably, 200m ~ 500m to just a mere 10m ~ 30m. And those weren't glitched/hacked/exploited.

Again buyiing and selling is a big part of the game. Saying that merchants contribute to the problem is crazy. People who use them/make them harder to be deleted from the data make the problem worse.

it was a slow lowering of price, lala and i watched the price go from 10k to 9-8k before the patch to fix the summon bag hack. Then they slowly lowered in price all day on sunday. like i said before, merchants don't add or remove anything from the game, hackers do. Find the hackers and punish them, this is taking the easy way out and just banning everyone who was selling chaos in the mts = unfair.

The legits don't contribute to the problem? They are helping distribute the illicit goods. Borderline players may not have purchased the scrolls if it was a brand new person selling the scrolls but once a recognized merchanter is selling them, it legitimizes the scrolls to some people and convinces them it's ok to purchase.

again the problem is not the distribution, the problem is the creation/use of the scrolls. removing scrolls from the data is easy, removing the effects of the scrolls on items is not.

The biggest issues imo--
They didnt manage to ban the real hackers. Sure, they got some fake accounts that probably had most of the nx xfered off of it, and sure, they got some users, but they also banned a bunch of users that although they were playing the market, really weren't trying to break the game. Nexon's GM Tibaroo says that a lot of chaos scrolls were deleted, but users were banned if they were determined to have

The issue Laura has is that her account was banned rather than the chaos scrolls deleted, when it was clear that she was not someone duping. For a merchant, losing the majority of one's in game currency + however much nx they spent is pretty awful, but there's nothing more distressing than losing a main account/character that you've put so much time/effort/money into for years.
Also: To the people asking if the bans are permanent~~
The message received by many = "This id has been deleted or blocked from the game" which is a permanent ban I believe, as no date of unbanning was issued.

Never said it was... the person i was originially addressing was QQing over his account being blocked due to his own stupidity and/or lack of willpower.
@above you made an assumption based on an outcome that best benefited you without thinking of possible other outcomes which (in the case of Meos Hacking) have already happened and could damage you greatly. Then again maybe I'm giving the people of Maple to much credit... maybe i should just think of you people as stupid and just go from there because in all honesty it seems like that's what you want...

Dueyed items don't automatically go into recipient's inventory. You still have to accept the delivery within 30 days. There is also the option to decline the delivery at which point the sent item is deleted.

Yes my ban is perm... hopefully not really perm. I bought a stack of chaos out of the mts and resold some of them. If they bothered to check they would see I bought way more than I sold and I only had about 30k nx when the MTS went down.

Theres no need to be a jerk or act so condescending. This made me lol at how absurdly rude this is, way to kick someone when there down. And if you read my post I never claimed ignorance I knew exactly what was going on, but should Nexon not be held responsible for their laziness and lack of noticing whats going on? There's only so much a person can sit back and have to watch people hack what they want time and time again and not want to catch a break themselves. Nexon claims no responsibility ever, and continues to benefit, and screw over the legit community at the same time.

People have ALWAYS bad-mouthed Nexon for not being up to date with every single second of the game and have for the most part taken it upon themselves to keep themselves safe and I'll wager you were one of those people. Prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that people merchanting stuff knew they were contributing to a hack. Get back to basics, if you want to ban people who benifited and merchanted the scrolls, then be consistant and ban everyone who used one. There are plenty of people who bought and used tons of the chaos who were not banned. Nexon only banned people who were selling chaos in the mts at the time it was taken down. That is the biggest problem is the inconsistancy of the way this banning was done. Ban everyone who remotely benifited from it or just ban the hackers who caused this issue, either way, be consistant.

The point is a company like Nexon makes millions of dollars and with that comes ethics and responsibility. People making the +52 stat HT pendants were even compensated when everyone knew that wasn’t supposed to be allowed. They pick and choose what they want to make a big deal out of and what they don’t. I really think they banned us all because this was a big MTS money maker and now they get to collect thousands of dollars.
It’s not ok for a company’s own lack of security to make them so much money. They stole money from people and most the hackers are still playing.

1. There was currently a situation in which duping/glitching was the cause of an influx in items
2. You bought those items that were duped and or glitched
3. You contributed
Ii never said the people that bought them should have been banned miss and I wonder where you got that idea? In fact i hope they all their accounts back but unless your just absolutely lacking any ability to predict possible outcomes like a child I'm not exactly going to go crying to your side because you should be able to make your own decision and accept any and ALL possible outcomes (especially considering something like this has happened before, so you even have a HISTORY of certain results to go on).
You seem to think of this person you are protecting as nothing more then an ignorant child who's lacks the cognitive faculties to make a decision based on possible outcomes. I'm not aware of her exact age but I can probably assume she has the brain power to think b4 she leaps.

Nope, I'm average at best... I just have this nasty little tendency to think before I do things. Real discussion... so far all I've seen is the "pity party of how this is just so unfair and totally not anyone else fault but Nexon's". The only thing I've been doing is playing Devil's advocate in presenting an apposing side at most. My attitude is not one of a person who see's himself as better... if I sound condescending because I expect you to have some common sense then excuse the hell out of me for thinking your an intelligent person who has good judgment.

You should take personal responsibility. This is what i mean by holding your hand... YOU choose to toss your ethics aside and you choose to take responsibility in your actions when you purchased those items KNOWING the consequences. They made money from Ht and refunded it... your very statement contradicts your argument.

They didn't steal anything, YOU made the decision knowing the possible outcomes both bad and good and you got a bad outcome. Hell speaking of your previous indecent you'll probably be reimbursed.
