This blew my freaking mind. I'm surprised it wasn't really mentioned in here.

I found out about this on sat/sun of last weekend after low tier city 2. First time i think it's ever been talked about during a stream. Didn't think it was relevant to post here since it's about melee.

And yes, it blew my mind.

While true it is about Melee, we've talked about Evo in here before. I don't know, just something I figured would be interesting for the Smash folk.

Yeah, it's just further proof that melee is forever and i'm glad you posted it. I thought shield dropping had to be close to the end of the advanced techniques evolution a few short months ago but holy s'hit was i wrong.

This helps IC players soooo much it's insane, and yet those players insist it doesn't help too much. The only reason they are towards the bottom of high tier is because nana is such a huge liability but now she can be as smart as any level AI the player wants her to be.

There's also the invincible ledge dash as seen in m2k vs hax grand finals at zenith 2014, where fox is able to grab ledge, let go, jump, and waveland onto the stage to then follow into an invincible up smash, turn around up tilt, shine, or neutral air, ALL WHILE INVINCIBLE. It's so fast that you can barely see fox get back onto the stage at all.

Tongue too lewd!

Sakurai Wrote:Pic of the day. "No, I'll just beat you within an inch of your life!" Demon Lord Ghirahim makes an appearance in Smash Bros!! He's an Assist Trophy, so he could conceivably back up Link, too.

Darn.

Well, there goes my #1 choice for new zelda newcomer.

edit: thinking about it, either this is the death knell for the idea that the "Trophy quiz" shown in the smash direct corresponded to (some of) the remaining newcomers, or skyward swor dis getting a different rep.

So... impa or demise?

Groose is a much more valid choice as the skyward sword rep.

Demighouls from Dragon Quest have evolved and infiltrated Smash Brothers!

I've been playing too much Dragon Quest X recently...

I read this as Groot and was like "YOU KNOW WHAT, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY CAMEO? GREAT IDEA".

I don't think the Level 9 Nana thing is as significant as you guys made it appear.

Not really, that was an actual glitch that happens on the occasion in the E3 build of the game.

Yeah like i said, i think it's a big deal but actual IC players do not.

She DEFINITELY does more grabs and smash attacks with the lv9 trick. I saw more nana/popo de-synched combos at LTC2 than i would have if wobbles didn't use it.

If anything it's useful for mind games. The fact that it might make a difference can psychs players out into being more cautious.

Rather interesting pic of the day today:

Sakurai Wrote:Pic of the day. The 3DS version has an excellent Sounds collection! The design looks nice for a sound test screen, doesn't it? The font color for the "Remix" text on remixed songs comes in pink or white. The pink ones are songs arranged for this version of Super Smash Bros., while the white ones are remixes made in earlier Smash Bros. games. This means there are reoccuring songs from past releases.

Sakurai Wrote:Choose your songs and play with features on the bottom screen. You can listen to character voices, too. One of the new highlights for this feature is the "Play in Sleep Mode" option in the upper right. If you turn this on, you can listen to the tracks with your headphones even when your Nintendo 3DS is closed. The L and R Buttons will let you skip tracks. This means you can use it as a portable music player. Enjoy listening to the tracks you love by putting all songs in loop, shuffle, or selecting your favorite tracks!!

Sakurai Wrote:In Smash Run, the background music plays randomly from the songs you select from the track list. This means you can customize your own song lineup!! Usually each stage has two tracks-which makes for a lot of songs on its own-but as a bonus, we've added more songs for you to enjoy in Smash Run and in the Sounds area.

Sakurai Wrote:By the way, here's another music announcement!! You can now listen to some of the tracks on the official website. We're planning to add more tracks a little at a time, so stay tuned. http://www.smashbros.com

And oh my god, the music they posted is amazing (namely the pokemon battle and full steam ahead). I hope rippers will be able to get the music asap. ;A;
