Nocturne seems like a really fun champion. It seems like he'll be a great 1v1 assassin with his normal skills. And that ultimate XD. It's like a reverse TF ultimate. Enemy champions have reduced field of vision and can't see what their allies see. Take that people with map awareness. Then Nocturne can teleport a ridiculously long distance to attack an enemy.

I'm starting to think that Cho'Gath building hybrid tank/AP is OP. Kiting is his worst enemy, but if that doesn't exist in a prevailant form, after a while, he just kinda becomes an "I do what I wanna do" kind of champion. And his ult is the superior form of Garen's ult: great for last-hitting (true damage if the enemy's HP is underneath the full damage value of Feast), and the ultimate multi-kill ruiner.

Even without building hybrid, he can be kind of OP. Few champions draw as much fire and can still survive going full tank. I've teleported into an opponents base, took on 3 caster/dps champs, and walked out of the base alive. No team support, no minion support, just me taking on 3 people and laughing at their failure to kill me. It's rather demoralizing for them, and feast still does so much damage that I forced one of their squishies to back out of the fight and the other two gave up chasing me knowing that my team was coming. *Notes it wasn't an intentional solo as my team backed out as I was teleporting in, but stilll he's one of the few champs that could pull it off without using flash or some other escape move*

I hate Fighting Cho Ga, Hes one of those champions that can really take the role of Tank to a k. And lets be honest, with the damage output of Carnage wtp do you want AP? Just Ks like a Pro and gg.

Oh no, please don't spread that he's overpowered around D=. I just brought Cho'Gath because I'm sick and tired of having no tanks on our team, and I'm doing great with him (no, I will never build Warmog's on him). Cho'Gath weakness is that he has no stun or taunt. People can ignore him and just directly target the squishies,

But the Ground spike is kinda like a stun? at least to let party escape and what not. Especially usefull if everyone its near the squishy.

A good Cho'Gath isn't ignorable Corn. If you leave him alone, he will destroy at least one squishy, interrupt/silence your mages, and be doing aoe damage with vorpal spikes/sunfire cape. Leave him alone and he will be far too much of a threat for them to ignore. There are some champions who can ignore him, but they're pretty much all tanks themselves. It's especially prevalent once you hit 6 stacks. It's like you have a giant bullseye that says focus me or I'll kill you.

Speaking of tanks, I'm still trying to learn Amumu, but not doing so well because he's a pretty squishy tank, albeit a god of team fights . . . assuming you can get your team to coordinate well enough that is. Also, loving some Malphite. I think I have maybe one loss with him, and there wasn't much I could do given the situation. Still gotta learn some Rammus skills, and maybe Alistar as well.

Lol any time a team is full of squishies and you're Cho'Gath it makes team fights hilarious. No one wants to come near you, or they all focus you, because they know if you get anywhere near them, you'll take out 1/3-1/4 of their hp in one shot. Sometimes a bit more than that even since Cho'gath usually out levels his opponents with relative ease due to his high farm rate.

I'm thinking:

RoA, Banshee, Sunfire, Rabadon, Rylai, and Merc Treads.

630 + 350 + 450 + 500 = 1930 HP boost with a nice dose of AP thrown in.

Nah, I wouldn't do RoA most of the time. HP and MP are nice and all, but I'd use the last slot for either a Zhonya's or Abyssal Scepter if you want more AP + Survivability. Zhonya's has a pretty useful active if you are initiating, not by choice, but because you happen to get caught somewhere out of position and gives a lot of AP. And abyssal scepter will help all your abilities do a bit more damage, including your sunfire and vorpal spikes, while giving you a pretty good magic resist. You could also build tankier if needed, going Frozen Heart/Randuin's or Force of Nature depending on the enemy team comp. RoA is wonderful on relatively squishy casters, but on Cho'Gath you're not squishy in the least, and more hp isn't going to do as much for you as more armor/mr.

Edit: If I was building hybrid, I'd probably do something like this:

Mana/Health Crystal + Health/MP pots depending on your preference -> Catalyst -> Boots -> Negatron Cape/Thornmail, possibly both if they're focusing you/harassing you with a mix, otherwise just one for now -> Giant's belt -> Merc Treads or other boots -> Sunfire/BV/Ryali's depending on your situation -> Make the other two now -> Rabadon's -> Last item depending on your team and enemy team comp

Admittedly you get a very late Rabadon's, but I dunno if rushing a rabadon's on cho'gath is a good idea. I've done it Nunu, but I think because Cho'Gath generally has to get in close range for three of his skills, you need the survivability first and foremost. I suppose you could go Ryali's for some survivability and AP first, but the lack of MR and Armor will hurt you mid game, and possibly even early game depending on how good of a harasser/ganker they have.

Clearly you've never tried to target a super small squishy like Tristana who's hiding behind hugeass Cho'Gath. That's his taunt xD

Also, his Q is a KNOCKUP and a slow. It's pretty much a stun (hard CC at the very least) and it can be used for initiation. Silence is the skill that fks with everyone, prevents escapes, stops people from CCing your squishies, and interrupts channels, etc.

Also, I don't make posts like this in the mainstream areas unless I think justice really needs to be served. But you may be too late anyways, because evidently some of the high elo circle is routinely banning Cho'Gath now.

Too much HP boost, not enough Armor/MR. Part of Cho'Gath's survivability comes from his passive, which grants him HP and MP per kill, minion or champion. It's also why tank Cho is pretty hard to take down solo in lanes. Since this number is a flat amount, stacking HP does not make his passive more effective, while defensive stats synergize with his passive.

Also, Cho might already have issues dealing with people spamming Bloodrazor and DFG. Why make the problem worse?

For anyone thinking "why does Cho need AP?" I would argue that the main reason is so that Cho can flatten any minion wave with his Q+W (except Cannon minions, but R does that trick). You can think of the various ramifications of being able to wombo combo minions =P Damage is a close second on this. Feast does true damage to a champion once his/her/its HP is below the damage that Feast does, and that makes for a sexy .5 AP ratio on a very high base damage skill. It wouldn't be farfetched for a hybrid Cho'Gath to nuke a squishy with just a Blasting Wand.
