Pewsks Wrote:By the way, for anybody wondering if there is a better grinding spot post-game then the E4 I think i've definitely found one..

Restaurant Le Wow, specifically the rotation battles. It consists of 3 level 68 Pokemon and you battle different trainers consecutively for EXP and money. Each perfect run earns you 25 Balm Mushrooms, and if you are using an Amulet Coin, that equals to about 250,000$ (that is with the 100,000$ entry loss included) money gained per run. And the EXP is just as good as E4 if not better since it is pretty quick (no annoying 1491581hour long animations like E4.) You can run it as much as you want as well. Really good if you have one really high level mon and then 2 low level mons in the back. Just never rotate to them and they leech even more EXP then normal.

Oh and one of the trainers has a lv68 Audino! Big Grin Dat EXP.

Don't forget the entry fee drops down to 90k or so after you run it enough Wink

GAME finally acknowledged that my copy of X never arrived and are sending a new one.

Still weird how I only got the pre-order bonus... lol.

Thank god for digital Y.xD

Anyone who's been to the sushi high roller, is the exp and money there good? I don't have enough money to try it since I've been just buying all the clothes I see first, plus I'm inside friend safari trying to catch em' all.

I feel like the sushi high roller would be even better in exp and money, if it works like the other restaurants.

according to reddit/serebii sushi place isn't really worth it because you spend too much money and get little return, so it's unsustainable. I think Restaurant lewow (I think) is a better pay off + exp reward.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - JPTheMonkey - 2013-10-21

For straight money returns, I get about $60k from Le Wow and pay $100k to go through it. I earned 17 Balm Mushrooms on the first run, but idk their individual value. If there was the chef NPC from Unova, I think they could be sold for $10-20k each.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - iamflip - 2013-10-22

Hmm, so apparently Pokemon caught in the Friend Safari are guaranteed to have two of their IV stats maxed. Sometimes you get even three.

Also, the Ralts that Diantha gave me had maxed S.Atk and Speed IVs. Is that the same with anyone else?

And is there someone that buys off Tiny and Big Mushrooms for better prices than shops?

Yeah ralts is also given best nature iirc. The 3 IV thing is definitely low % though. Out of 3 boxes of ditto (90) I have maybe a 7 with 3 IV's.

--

Also perfect IV breeding has definitely become signifcantly easier. If you can get 2-3 dittos with 3 I'vs that cover all of them. You just breed until you get a baby with 3 iv's from the ditto. Then breed the baby with another ditto wtih 3 IV's, until that baby has all the possible IV's. The 6th is complete chance of getting 31 as the Silk ball thing only passes up to 5 from both parents. My suggestion to anyone breeding is to wait until you get 4 IV's on a female and a male of the pokemon you're breeding, then keep hatching eggs until you get 31 IV's into everything but the negative stat the nature comes with.

Obviously this is impossible with something that's gender locked, which results in a lot more breeding, as the highest you will get is 3 to 4.

So my college is having a random battle tournament tonight. Winner gets a copy of x or y, single elimination. I guess there's no strategy or tips you guys can give me, huh?

Is it on smogon? Cus I'm almost at 1800 rating on random battles and there are a few things you give advice on.

Yeah it's on Simulators. Any help would be appreciated. :f6:

Well smogon 7/10 times gives you a really balanced team. The level 70-78 and 88-95 are your two best assets 9/10 times. The 70-78 is mos likely a legendary, while 88-95 is some basic evolution. Jolteon can glitch up sometimes and only has 3 moves (the 4th supposedly should be baton pass) they may have fixed that.

Watch out for liepard and murkrow, those two are so goddamn devastating. My goal is to see what I'm working, my thought process is;

Does anyone have any entry hazards.
>Has toxic spikes
>Do I have any paralyze/sleepers
If yes try to paralyze all his pokemon, and put one to sleep to take advantage of a sword dancer
If no, lay out the toxic spikes, at least two sets.

Ultimately you need to identify which smogon build's you're dealing with and exploit it as much as possible. I typically put everything on a single sword dancer/calm minder. Though I haven't played with the X/Y stuff yet.

Didn't a NPC somewhere speak of an ice wolf legend? I'd love it if there were more secret legends hidden in the game. Them being secret currently just makes when they're finally revealed an awesome moment. Did they take this idea from gen 1, too? Hiding Mew in the game and such?

They've done it every gen, it's just that dataminers revealed the existence of most of the event legends each time long before Nintendo/Gamefreak intended.

I meant, since the 3DS has yet to have been hacked to datamine, they threw them in, but I didn't pay attention to other gen's secret legends, so you're probably right there.
Or does the official XY strategy guide show them? Have previous gens' guides shown their respective event legends?

Hope the typing is right Water/Fire, about time!

It doesn't have a "pokedex" section. You'll probably have to wait for a X & Y pokedex book to be released for that.

Of course not. That defeats the whole point. Arceus was not announced a full 3 years after 4th gen was released. The closest they come to revealing event legends before official announcements is with the occasional movie trailer, but even those usually dont reveal too much.

v1.1 patch is up and in the eShop! Fixes Lumiose city saving and the GTS filtering error.

The filtering error kept bothering me when trying to get a Japanese ditto.

Wait, what filter error? I hadn't heard of that before.
