We've been preparing the changes for Firebird's Finery, and ultimately, we've settled on slightly redesigning the 4-piece and 6-piece bonuses. Here's how they currently read internally (though, as always, these details are subject to change):

(4) Set Bonus
Dealing Fire damage with one of your skills causes the enemy to take 1000% weapon damage as Fire for 3 seconds. This effect can be repeated a second and third time by different skills. If an enemy is burning due to three different skills simultaneously the enemy will Ignite, dealing 3000% weapon damage per second until they die

(6) Set Bonus
Your damage is increased by 100% for each nearby enemy that is Ignited up to a maximum bonus of 2000%. You always receive the maximum bonus whenever a nearby Elite monster is Ignited



As you can see, we've definitely gone the way of trying to preserve its play style while approaching it from a slightly different angle. You are still encouraged to light multiple targets on fire, and the more you light up, the more powerful you grow.

It should be noted this will impact some existing builds, like the Firebird's/Chantodo's interaction. We are definitely going to want plenty of player testing and experimentation with the revised set, so expect to see a dedicated Focused Feedback thread when we head to PTR.

We're really looking forward to see your thoughts and testing!

It seems to force external fire damage sources, such as Tal Rasha's Meteors, or other legendary equipment powers. I play a Disintegrate-only build with Chain Lightning (fire), so I can no longer do stacks easily since Familiar (fire) only hits 1 target each time...

TORMENT XIII

Firebirds change, still the same numbers as they had announced
A Raiment of a Thousand Storms change too, pretty big buff relatively speaking
Akkhans buff, with some mitigation.

Neat changes to Spike Trap. Actually looks interesting, with some neat supporting legendaries. Could be strong for a Legacy of Nightmares, or even Natalya's/Shadow's build. Probably rolling a Demon Hunter next patch then.
Some gem wording was changed to be "hits" instead of "attacks" or whatever. Return of on hit instead of on cast effects, or just clarification that you actually need to hit something?

Forcing Seismic Slam onto Might of the Earth?
A new Fist of the Heavens supporting item finally. Seems too weak still.
A generic Lashing Tail Kick item. ew.
Spirit Barrage "channel" item. It's not a channeling skill.
A lightning ranged item?

And a dank memes item...

Anyways, I realise I haven't completed my stash tab this season yet... Still struggling to get to GR75 on Uliana's, probably just gonna do other conquests instead.

Legendary drop rate must be insane in T13. I mean it's already over 450% increased rate for T10 Rifts.

Another PTR datamine.
Might as well just enable all the runes for Spirit Barrage. I don't understand the nerfs to Scarbringer or Crusaders. Spike Trap is moving forward, but probably still not too great. Same with that Seismic Slam item. Would be great if there was a way to use it as a primary damage dealer, but it's just a buff you cast every 15s at this point. Still better than every 4 seconds or however long it took to Leap 3 times.

Patch notes are up. Seems diablofans missed the ranges and only listed the minimum, so Crusader belt got a minor buff in that it can roll up to 170% instead of static 50%.

Unfortunately, they decided to double the damage but double the cooldown on Spike Traps, effectively making it a non-change that's unusable, despite the major complaint being charges suck.

Also, RIP to Archons apparently?
Fixed an issue that was causing stacks of Archon from a previous cast due to The Swami to stack multiplicatively instead of additively with a subsequent, overlapping cast of Archon

Every form of Archon is dead (FB, Vyr, Tal'Rasha, Vyr'Rasha, ET, etc).
The only viable build now is DMO, unless the "Lightning Wizard" randomly top tier.

What pisses me off the most is there's people saying these changes are "good", because the ET meta is dead, but they're assuming Vyr is going to get super buffed to compensate.
