I've tried using the active multiple times on tanks and the dmg is pitiful.. Notice the only char's who get it are poppy and veigar? Both of which smash the carry(squishy) in a single nuke.

I usually think of Veigar as the Anti AP Assassin. DFG -> q -> r kills a number of AP champions. It's not a completely sure thing, but a good portion of the time it works. Sometimes you need another q in there to finish them off, but any time you get them that low, they're at the bare minimum going to try to flee from the fight. However, as a pure burst vs carry champ, I don't feel he's as good. You have to get off more skills like dfg -> q -> w -> e -> q -> r and make sure you don't die yourself. That's why the only time I tend to pick him is when the rest of the team is almost all dps. Because you need his anti AP abilities desperately then to keep the other team in check. Not to do burst damage to their carry, just to make sure their AP characters want to stay out of the fight, or at least stay scared of you so they're more focused on avoiding/killing you, than the rest of your team.

I was going to comment on how underpowered I thought it was, but then again Riot has to find a balance between letting squishies live in a single nuke cycle and it actually functioning as an anti-HP-stacker item.
It's pretty damn scary on Poppy though, granted.

Just had a horrible game with Annie.
Laned with amumu against a xin and yi. I couldnt do anything because if i walked out from the turret the xin would charge me and just kill me. Constantly spent all my farming money on wards and in the end it was a waste because me and the amumu could never kill them even if we tried to before they would kill me.
Cant actually remember when i last won a normal game.
e: after much thought, the only conclusion that i can come up with is that im pretty awful and probably look like a feeder lol.

Faced a team with four Ignites today, got them to misclick three out of the four in a teamfight with Shadow Dash today.

Swain sucks... Or i sucked when i played Swain, Or my team just plain sucked. Either way the game when i played with Swain sucked globally.

Swain can be pretty beastly early to mid game, after that he starts dropping off. If you're team fighting with him around minions though, he's a lot better since his ult will keep him far past when other mages would have died.
Just played three games. First was as Nunu. Early to mid game, I was rocking the other team with a super early Rabadon's which made my iceball powerful and my ult so freaking powerful that I would easily oneshot the squishier people. Did pretty decent, died a few more times than I liked, but I'm still getting the hang of him. His bloodboil is hilarious on ashe. Got her up to 2 attacks per second. XP Took a while due to minion waves, but we won it pretty easily.
Second game, we're missing a DPS. I'm trying to learn Tristana since I usually go Sivir/Ashe, depending on team comp. So I lane with Swain against Sion and Tyrndamere. It was pretty much a stalemate with both sides getting a gank or two, but they were pushing us pretty hard. Top lane though, well it went badly. Our Shaco kept trying to gank mid to the point that he was feeding their ashe. The game was over at about 15 minutes due to that. Not saying that I played excellently since I went 0/6/3, but holding a lane solo against Sion and Tyrn is just not possible, and Swain, when he was around, just wasn't that helpful with dealing with them. Wish I had gotten those kills instead, but such is life. Also, wonderful non english speakers made it even more wtp worthy.
Third game I'm doing as Malphite. At first we had 3 AP so it was extremely necessary, but then one of the AP people switched to Corki. Which would have been fine, albeit I kinda wish it had been Swain who had switched since Kassadin would have been more helpful. Of course, the Corki DCs/leaves at lvl 4. We didn't surrender though. Morgana was doing excellent top lane with MF. The ezreal in mid was pretty well wrecking Swain, but the mid tower stayed up for quite a while. And I was having fun with Garen and Nidalee at bot tower. Eventually Morgana came bot and we ganked Garen. Then we took out bottom tower. Then we gathered up mid. I started to think we had a chance. They took out bottom tower, we took out mid. Then we spent quite a while back and forthing in mid. Eventually having them at their base tower. We took out their top tower, and their bot was getting weak. So we were getting ahead in tower and stayed close in kills. However we eventually died after a team fight, and they pushed back mid, took out our towers, and our inhib. Now that was fine, we were still in it, since team fights were close wins for them at best and complete losses when they didn't engage well. So we killed one or two, and pushed the minion waves back to their base. I said back . . . my team engaged. So I had to use my ult right then to buy time. My team thought that was team fight time. I died after being focused down and told them to back . . . they fought it out and died. Then went top to finish off that section. And that's when my team made another mistake. They went in without me, after pushing them off our inhib, while I killed the minions that were attacking our inhib. Now maybe I should have let them destroy it, but I honestly think we'd have been better off pushing them out of base, clearing the minions and then engaging. It was rather frustrating for me because we were doing so well 4 v 5, and it ends badly all because my team rushed into a bad spot twice.

Reminds me of yesterday evening where I was Xin, laned with Kennen, and went against a Kennen and Alistar. I couldn't do pomegranate since Kennen kept harrassing the hell out of me and Alistar is menacing enough with his insane KBs D:
I keep having better luck playing as Annie than I do as Xin lol
BTW, funniest pomegranate happened today. I got first blood at bot with Annie and a teammate got a kill at top with Trynd, both were less than 2min into the match. Level 1 bush fights are serious freaking business!

Lol Grackis got banned? Wow, I wonder what finally got him in trouble. He's pretty amusing to watch, but I kinda thought one of these days he'd go too far or say something that would get him banned.
Also, just had an excellent carry game as AP Teemo. Ended at 11/6/21 and even had 20 mejai's stacks for a while til they started focusing me. Would have had one or two less deaths with my team doing the right thing at the right time, but overall I played very well. FYI with an AP Teemo on the team, no jungle fights when they haven't shroomed that jungle, or it's going to go badly.
And lastly, much to my surprise, I've broken my 50/50 being more wins than losses. I've had it happen a few times before, but almost immediately it went back down. Perhaps I'm finally getting good enough to end up with more wins than losses. XP

I Hate 5vs5. Its almost impossible to win that pomegranate without a good team or a twist of fate that DC a member of the other team :/.
