have you tried zodiac ring? your downtime shouldn't be very long at all with it, but having said that dmo and tal rasha are both still far stronger than vyr

What build of TR is better than Vyr's? Unless I'm mistaken, but DMO is still top dog, followed by Vyr's / Firebirds.

for tal rasha you can do your average wand of woh, focus + restraint, parthan defenders, halo of arlyse (cubed), aquila cuirass (cubed) up to mid 60s or probably higher with good ancients and caldesann's despair. there's also a hybrid tal rasha + firebird that apparently can speed rift 65+ for gem upgrades (http://www.diablofans.com/builds/71856-s5-gr65-firerasha-gem-upgrades).

Vyr's was pushing high GR70s by the end of Season 4, it should still be able to do as such, especially with the belt getting buffed in 2.4. Of course you'd never know, because DMO is completely dominating the leaderboards lol.

Underwhelming PTR datamine for 2.4.1 which appears to be a balance patch. Hopefully, there's actually a 2.5 content patch for next season. Lots of buffs all around for class sets. I see reverts from 2.4 PTR too. lolfirebirds. RIP Twisted Sword. RIP Taeguk.
In terms of new items that catch my eye, Meticulous Bolts rework looks like it might be cool. Frostburns rework? A Storm Armor ring to replace Halo of Arlyse? Shield Glare item looks cool, but I think it's on a Flail, not sure if that's good. Then there's stuff like artificially inserting Sacrifice into Helltooth or Arachyr without actually having to add it to the set bonus, sure. That makes sense.
Also, something for Stone of Jordan coming up? After that question thread about what to do with it, maybe they've though of something coughuberscough

Nerfing Twisted Sword is going to kill Wizard in groups. I mean I understand why they did it, but DH / LoN WD is going to take their place as top DPS and nothing will really change.
Taeguk is completely dead. I have no idea why they even bothered making the stacks fall off at half the time now.
The buff to FB is hilariously expected, but at least it won't make Season 6 godawful for Wizards.
The 4pc buff to DMO is really nice. You're not forced to be in the time bubble anymore, not like it mattered.
Tal'rasha getting buffed is also going to make Flash Fire INSANE for future farming.

They'd have to super buff Archon for it to overthrow DMO. Even with the nerf to the sword, Arcane Orb is still leagues better than Archon.

There's a new Cow level for this month only, but it's pretty underwhelming. It's like the older cow level, without all the chests / shrines and whatnot.

I own D3 and the expansion but am not terribly familiar with the game.
I have read things about it being "vastly inferior" to D2. I wasn't hugely into D2, but D3 seems awesome. Why would people dislike it?
Can someone please tell me if they're planning full expansions for D3 at some point? Is it planned some time for the future, or have they stated at some point it'll never happen?

Nobody really knows, but D3 is a great game now. It wasn't when it launched but with the new patches/expansion they've already released, the game is vastly superior to what it was when it came out. It has much more of an end-game vs what D2 had (endless baal runs). I'd definitely give it a shot if you're wondering about it. Nobody knows if they're planning another D3 expansion though.

Yeah, the Archon changes seem super significant.
In terms of items, Oculus Ring looks like it'll be coming back. I recall there being a time where if it was equipped on your follower, it would activate like crazy even if you were in a party? Anyways, looks like an interesting boost for solo play for some builds.
Flail of the Ascended looks really nice. Looking forward to trying Roland's with a Shield Bash weapon, but I'd like to see a Sweep Attack Bracer then too.
That complete lack of creativity in designing the Elemental Quiver.
Disappointingly only three new legendaries, two of which just for Raiment.

Furious Charge animation cancelling removed. RIP. I'd rather they nerf the damage and increase its attack speed to what canceled was as baseline since it's so much smoother gameplay. Guess I'll be back on my WD for speed running after season ends though anyways, so not a big loss for me.
