Holy hell, got more info. You will be able to go to Kanto. There are also many new places in Johto including a place west of Cianwood City, a town barely southeast of Azalea Town, a small island west of Azalea Town. An orange island with 2 towns (OMFG) south of Cherrygrove city and east of Azalea Town. Plus you can catch the red gyarados in Lake Rage. You can also get both Ho-oh and Lugia in both versions just like in the originals.

Unless they actually put some depth into Kanto this time around with difficult Gym Leaders (for Kanto), it still won't be in my top Pokemon games.
Chances are they'll make a revisit for the Elite 4 because God knows they needed it in the G/S games.
