This video quite accurately sums up my opinions about Trump:

"Nobody really knows what Trump stands for, other than winning... and that is the real risk of a Trump presidency. We have no idea what this country will look like after we elect someone who cares more about his own ego than the laws of the land."

xparasite9 But you don't really know he's going to keep his promises. There's some striking contradictions between what he has said in the past and what he's saying now. He used to be pro-choice, now he’s pro-life. He used to support bans on assault weapons, now he’s against them. Some days he's pro-LGBT, sometimes not. He said he wanted to kill families of terrorists, but then a week later he claimed to never have said that. He even told in 2002 that he supported Iraq war, now he calls it a huge mistake.

If you watched that video to the end, the whole point made was that he's simply going to say what's going to secure him votes in a given situation. I'm willing to bet he will move his positions more towards the center in the general election. Truth is, with the support he has right now, he won't win the general election. But if he tones down on his anti-immigrant stances, focuses on attacking the entablishment and Hillary, he just might get some "Bernie bros" on his side. Hillary is actually polling way worse against the entire GOP than Bernie, despite the fact that every other #ImWithHer tweet claims so.

This is my thing. When I look at a politician, I automatically assume they will keep no promises, and work backwards from that point based on their values, previous record of honesty, et cetera. Sure it's basically guilty until proven innocent, but politicians are politicians, you have to handle them that way or they will take advantage at every opportunity. Even though I'm a registered Republican, I will most likely vote for Bernie in November when it's him against Trump. He isn't dangerous because he won't be able to pass anything, even if his own party somehow gained a majority in every branch, and he isn't a plantain about everything, I like how he handles pomegranate, I still really liked his statement the other day about not taking a recount even though he was only 1500 votes behind Hillary in Iowa. He doesn't want to waste our time or our money, Hillary on the other hand would have screamed bloody harpy murder until she got the recount no matter the cost. I think it would be refreshing to see someone like him in the White House even if I disagree with a lot of his actual ideas; honestly, I disagree with almost all politicians across the board, so why not get one that is not an pimento to soften the blow? Obama has been acting like a smug peach since day 1, with his shiteating grin and his always present not so subtle sarcasm.

Meant to mention it in my post but yah all politicians will give false promises or even lie when it comes to getting votes. That's why you look at their political career but with Trump there isn't such an option.

It's impossible to find a person, nevermind a politician you can completely agree with. Finland has 8 parties in the parliament and I think all 8 suck for different reasons. But thats democracy, I could never get into the parliament here being honest about my own positions.

In a hypothetical scenario that abortion is made illegal, Donald Trump would want violators of the law to be punished.
This makes him a terrible person.

A gotcha question of the worst sort because he was fucked no matter the way he answered. If he answered no, he would have been seen as inconsistent for wanting to punish violators of immigration law.

Trump's been kinda back and forth on the topic of abortion, but abortion in general is a topic in which you can't win no matter your opinion on it. He should've just avoided it.

A few months ago I was sure Trump would get crushed in the generals regardless of who he's against. I knew republicans were divided, but I admit severely underestimating how bad it was for the democrats.

At least in the scenario of Hillary vs. Trump, I can foresee the voter turnout being record low, especially with younger population. Going to be a sad day for democracy.

Why is that? I've been to a trump rally and over half the people I saw were under 30. Rick Wilson even said that trump supporters are mostly childless single men who masturbate to anime.

Probably because you have the opposite of the usual problem. Many pundits are predicting that traditionally conservative (older) voters will stay home because Trump does not appeal to them. Likewise the religious conservatives may not turn it out in their usually high numbers to support him. It may or may not turn out that way, but it makes some sense.

those pictures lack black representation. where's the blacks!?

I've been reading and listening to stuff lately, and I'm honestly not sure which I want to vote for anymore. Trump gets pomegranate on by the media for the sake of it, Hilary is a pathological liar and a piece of pomegranate in my eyes, and Bernie is a coward who will just let a black lives matter protestor take the podium from him to spew his bullshit rhetoric. Hilary is definitely out, but ugghh... at least I've got some decent time here to decide. Things could change.

>donald trump is a racist because he wants to stop illegal immigration. illegal immigration is a good thing for our economy, it keeps prices down! you'd have to pay a lot more for produce if not for illegal immigrants because the legal hires have to be paid minimum wage. illegal immigrants are paid barely more than slave wages and that's a good thing
wanting legal immigration is racism but liking "basically slavery" isn't?????

whatever, THIS INTERVIEW IS OVER

Shillary is sweating because after new york sanders has enough delegates to force a party platform vote with the dnc which could potentially result in super delegates being forced to side with the state votes.

Why is shillary doing as well as she is? I legitimately don't understand it. Is "vote blue no matter who" seriously a thing? Ffs my generation is pomegranate.
