I don't see it as a console-selling game, either, but it looks like it's going to be a blast and is right up my ally for games (I've never played a Dynasty Warriors game). It's a definite buy for me.

Yeah. Believe it or not people actually liked it so they're catering to their fans. I think I'm in the minority for wanting a game similar to Sunshine or 64 at this point.
Anyway Nintendo easily had the best E3 out of everyone. Was pretty hype. 9/10.

Ok, maybe it wont be as successful as console selling goes, but shouldn't we be more hopefull since its being developed in a partnership with Nintendo?. In any case since its around the corner we will find out pretty soon.

Only 3 games in the series have ever been above 75 metascore, with no game in the last decade doing it. Obviously reviews aren't the be all, end all, but the games going to be mediocre at best (as you'd probably agree if you'd played any of the DW games recently. Got one free on PS+, what a turd).

Zelda is one of Nintendo's A list series though. This is the first time some other team is being given relative total control over a "major" zelda title. I really doubt that Nintendo would stand idly by if they were going to make nothing but a skinned dynasty warriors. It definitely doesn't look halfassed. I'm sure people would buy it simply because this is how i would want to see link fight. Plus zelda with her quadruple light arrow looks SO BOSS

one will probably be sheik as Koei doesnt have to be conservative* with the lore entirely, which differentiates herself from Impa due to weapon choice
As a guy who actively plays the Warriors series and Zelda Series, I can easily say the fighting mechanics of the game are already different to games such as Dynasty/Samurai warriors, Warriors Orochi, and DW: Gundam. The inclusion of the items adds a lot of dimension into the combat, and the item interactions with certain mobs already itself differentiates it from the others.

It looks really good for a Dynasty Warriors game a lot more polished than I was expecting with all the Zelda references like the great fairy and the moon. But I personally have never been into Dynasty Warriors. I would be willing to give this a shot though just because I like Zelda.

Why are your guys mad about Captain Toad?. Remember that it's a filler game to keep the console alive/to keep momentum, also it was kinda expected after people went crazy about him like 1 month after 3Dland was launched and the nintendo studio that made 3dland said that making it into a full game was probable. Also most art stuff and visuals were done in 3Dland, proof of that is the short development time.
I honestly like the idea, it looks like a simple, fun game, like for example Angry birds games are, and let's not forget that it got its retail release too.
About Hyrule Warriors, I honestly wonder how they'll add Midna to the main storyline, I know that the bad girl created a shift in time but wow, also always wanted to play a Dinasty Warriors game but I'll try to get one before this Hyrule theme one to get myself used to this kind of games but if they are like masou arcades games, my brother and I will have lots of fun.
Honestly, I'm more mad about the new kirby game than any of the other games... Kirby games beside the standard 3D ones are quite... bad?, specially considering that we got epic yarn not too long ago and there is a DS game with a similar mechanic/history. I think a nintendo land expansion would have been better or a 2d action game like metroid.

Splatoon is legitimately the best concept for a game i have seen in my entire life. It has so much depth and synergy and everything about it meshes extremely well. I'm blown away that something like this was prepared for today.

Besides the new Sonic games, it seems Sega will also release a CGI/live action film. First said on the E3, now official.

She seems to be a mage-like class (a healer/support class?).

by game design, a warriors game cannot have a heavy support/healer type because at high difficulties, the game is almost entirely dependent on the player as the team AI aren't great fighters. A healer would be counter productive as its not a good idea in warriors game to hand around others as to progress through a mission, its nearly all commando work.
