If it matters, I did my "experiment" at bone fish, where I waited for one to power up physically, cast puppet, then stood beside it, letting phoenix attack it (killed it on the like 14th attack cause its level 1 and bone fish seem strong to fire, etc).

Itay's saying 2915 with a zhelm. Judging by how a zhelm reduces black squid ink from 150ish to 1, 3075 or 3100 is probably a safer bet?

Are you sure you're not mixing up their touch & magic? The matk is 70 points more than their touch, according to Fiel's data. I'm not sure how much raw damage that translates into... We also naturally have way less mdef than wdef.
