Wait! Is that website even popular? Like at all? I could see LoL losing if people aren't even aware that this is going on and they don't vote. I doubt it'll happen but it'd make the whole thing funnier.

Reminds me of Character Battle on GameFAQs.
It always ends with Link, Cloud, Sephiroth, and one lucky other character, unless they build the divisions in a way where that doesn't happen, but then whichever of the three survived the rest will end up winning. The only difference is that it's like Link, Cloud, and Sephiroth all combine into one entry - League of Legends.

It will be interesting to see how the next round goes - with a smite vs star wars getting double the amount of votes maple v tf2 got.
That said it kinda looks a bit janky I would have though TF2 would have killed maple.

Half the fanbases of these games seem to have no clue this is going on, and MMOBomb is handling the voting itself fairly crappily.
It takes enough effort to hunt down the current polls and figure out who won the last ones that it's no wonder most casual fans don't appear to be participating.

I would've never imagined as much in a million years due to the huge TF2 fanbase (which I'm assuming is larger than that of Maplestory's).

Well, the fact that certain people from MapleStory have been jamming this poll down people's throats through forums and social media as if coercing people to vote for the game.
