I managed to get the medal from completing the quest line for Maple Castle. The medal is time-limited though.

RED tickets are used to trade in for Black Friday coins.
If you read the description, it says "3 will get you 30, 4 to 6 will get you 50, 7 to 9 will get you 80, 10 will get you 100."
First number = number of tickets, second number = number of coins. No clue how you trade them in, but save them until near the end of the event so you can get the most out of them.
At least this is what I overheard [MENTION=9167]Reddish[/MENTION]; saying in bl the other day. Either way, it's still worth holding onto them until you have 10.

I'm pretty sure that the Red tickets are actually for the RED coins. In the description for the Hot Time box, it says:
"Remember to collect the RED tickets you find in these gifts to get more coins in the next patch!"

Yeah my bad, it's the Maple Castle VIP medal. xd
The one in the Event Tab is a Halloweenster medal with just 8 atk/m.atk.

Red tickets are tradeable. Better farm them on your mules
