Evolving Ring III

January 18 - January 31

Get a ring that you can upgrade each day, becoming gradually more powerful!

Stage 1

Talk to Gaga in a major town to receive a level 0 ring with no stats.

Stay logged in for an hour to evolve the ring into a level 1 ring.

Remember to not log out until your level 0 ring has reached level 1, otherwise youll have to start again.

Stages 2 - 10

Log in every day and ask Gaga for an upgrade.

Hold the box that he gives you for an hour.
NOTE: The box will be in the Set-up tab of your item inventory.

When the box turns into a potion, return to Gaga and ask for an upgrade to increase the ring by 1 level.
NOTE: The potion will be in the Set-up tab of your item inventory. Be sure not to click on or drop the potion.

Logging out before the one hour mark will cause the item to disappear and you'll have to start again for that day.

Last Day

On the last day of the event, Gaga can make the current version of your ring become tradable. This does not apply to players who start the event on this day.

Ask Gaga for an upgrade.

Hold the box that he gives you for an hour.
NOTE: The box will be in the Set-up tab of your item inventory.

When the box turns into a potion, return to Gaga and ask for an upgrade to increase the ring by 1 level and to make it tradable, or just to make it tradable if it's already at level 10.
NOTE: The potion will be in the Set-up tab of your item inventory. Be sure not to click on or drop the potion.

Logging out before the one hour mark will cause the item to disappear and you'll have to start again for that day.

Additional Notes

The ring must be in your Equip inventory in order for it to gain a level.

Days are based on server time. 12:00 AM Pacific is the start of each day of the event.

The max level of the ring is 10.

Evolving Ring III Lv.10: STR/DEX/INT/LUK +10, Weapon/Magic ATT +10, one-of-a-kind item

The Evolving Ring III is a separate item from the previous Evolving Ring and Evolving Ring II you cannot level up a ring from the previous events; you must level up a new ring.

Yeah, was afraid I'd actually have to collect some etcs-that-only-drop-from-mobs-your-level or something to make the ring level up.
As long as it's only afk'ing as before... probably end up getting a dozenish so none of my mules have to feel underpowered.

I'd still expect them to fix it since it's the exact same issue they've fixed before.

Then again, keeping them untradable makes one less thing for people to steal when they invariably loot your account since Nexon still apparently hasn't secured logins.

Doesn't stop them from dropping the untradable rings out of spite when you get hacked, sadly.

I'm doing the double ring again.

I don't regret it because its also one less thing to lose when you swap gear to other characters. If I'm unable to move half my stuff, then I wont lose if the server crashes and storage eats it.

Also, by time I phase out the ring, it will be worthless anyway. I just wish this one had HP so I can hang onto it longer.

Sadly, my interest right now has dropped so much i can't even be arsed to log on for it.

Though i might consider it along with getting a AP reset so i can finally lower my shadower's dex a bit...

I actually prefer the etc-that-only-drop-from-mobs-your-level since that generally takes less than an hour and isn't reliant on server stability.

Wow, not only does this one take less time than the previous two, it gives even better stats? Now I feel more inclined to put one on every character...

Now the "Congrats! You have gained upgrade potion by playing an hour!" will actually be applied to the accurate item.

Matter of personal preference, I suppose.
I am in Kradia, which is usually stable (watch me jinx it), and most of my mules are unable to (effectively) kill mobs their own level (due to lack of gear and/or potions), or nowhere near such mobs (e.g., level 74 Priest permanently stationed at Door to Zakum). Plus, I have horrible loot lag, and only my main has a looting pet. So, collecting anything on mules is a royal pain.
I also have 3 computers to do this on, so I can afk on two and hunt dragon wings or w/e on the third.

How about: You can be online for 1 hour or gather 50 Xs from monsters
