i think one of the hamsters that power their servers stopped working, got off his wheel, and bit a cable.
game's gonna be out till tomorrow morning, when they'll be able to send alteris or hime to the local pet shop to get a replacement energy source.

Afaik we're up and SW is up and that's it. Basil and Nexon forums are down.
Besides the upgrade you did so that the site automatically brings itself back online (or at least tries to)

We're handling about double what SW is, just in the forum itself, plus what's hitting the static mirrors.
Our hardware hasn't been upgraded any, no. It's more than sufficient to handle our normal traffic like right now.
Upgrading to handle rare spikes wouldn't be financially sensible when throttles, workarounds and recovery scenarios can be configured instead.
