The overreaction, though, is the lawsuit. I mean, she got his character killed? Big deal, so he lost some EXP. They never said she deleted his character, but I keep wondering if perhaps that's what she actually did.

Actually, I assumed it was character deletion as well. If it really was just loss of EXP then that's beyond extreme overreaction. Sure, I'd be pissed at having lost a probable years' efforts lost (did that make sense? lol), but hell, I wouldn't run around dropping lawsuits on someone's ass cuz they deleted my char. =\ For that matter, I'd actually LOVE that. lol +1 reason to quit maple.

actually, the real lesson here is "dont trust anybody and never give your password, especially if you dont know them irl" thats a lesson i learned long ago. luckily i was able understand it the easier way.

So the guy is pressing charges because his ex-maplewife made him lose 5%? Killing someone's virtual character should not be a criminal offense, especially when she knew his info. The first thing is says when you type in your password is "don't give out this motha fucking info".

I mean, we all play here and we STILL dont know what the meaning of "finding his character dead" (or it's still debatable). Good luck with that >_>
Im just thinking though... if everyone can sue people for hacking them, then... there'd be A LOT of lawsuits going around... of course, that might also cut down on hacking and the likes.
