20% Anniversary Scrolls and Protector Shields. - Suber - 2011-05-05

Does this work with the 20% Scrolls from the Anniversary, or does it only work with Enhancements? Thanks in advance and sorry if this was stated before. Just want to make sure.

Its a shield of magic that protects the item. It prevents an equip item from being destroyed when a scroll (that can potentially blow up) has been used.
However, the protection effect will disappear once a scroll has been successfully used or miserably failed, and with equip enhancement scrolls, it only works until the 8th star.

That's what it says on Spadow. But once again i just want to make sure. Lol

Is it a Enhacement scroll?

-Yes > Protector Scroll STOP working when you try to get a 8 star equipment into a 9 star one

I said that if the scroll (20% anniversary in this case) blow your item, then YES the protector scroll works, otherwise is a waste of NX.

Just wasnt sure if they worked or not because i heard the Protector shields only work with Enhancement scrolls.

Do note that they work like White scroll it seems AKA if scrolls works or not the Protector Scroll is used.

Spadow also said that it ONLY works on Enhancement scrolls.

No, he says it works with normal scrolls AND with enhancement scrolls until the 8th star.

The text is not ambiguous at all (though it's kinda badly written), from what's written it clearly works on other scrolls too.

Also, nexon's text on cubes wasn't ambiguous either, just downright wrong, which could be the case here too.

i meant spadow, and the only reason i am not 100% sure on how these darned things work, is due to how nexon is great at screwing up the simplest things, "rare" items, for example as you said.

It's not so much that the text is ambiguous, but that there seems to be little relation between what it says and what it does.

It actually does work that way though. You 'use' the protection scroll on an item and then a little icon appears in the bottom corner of the item. That's the 'protected state', and it disappears the next time you use a scroll that can break the item on it.

Yeah, a couple people in my guild are up to 100+ 20% scrolls. Considering this event is lasting til mid June, I can EASILY see these 20% scrolls being in the FM by the THOUSANDS.
