Now, before you start saying "this should be on the funhouse" or "stop spamming ponies everywhere", these are well written analysis that describe pretty well why most of us are hooked on the show and/or fandom.

We do get that you like the show and all, that was never come to question (at least not by me). And about the ponyspam, it as died out lately but when the show was recently god you could see pony memes everywhere.

We already know not everyone knows why people watch the show. They classify it as a dumb girls show for kids. This was put here to show you guys real reasons why people enjoy this show. I couldn't care less about you and anyone else's opinion. Oh, and about the pony spamming pictures, I don't do it a lot, but when I do, it's always fun to see your reactions if there are any.

And, unfortunately, anyone who states this obviously has not watched the show or they would think otherwise.
As for the reasons in this thread, some of them I agree with and others I don't:
(a) I really don't find any pleasure in doing things that are considered girly. I don't even find MLP to be girly. It's a family show that everyone can watch and find something to like.
(b) The charm is the main reason why I liked the show. The plot devices used are simple, and it's easier for older adults to see deeper plot interactions - many of them existing from older greek and folklore tales - to the point where I can guess what will happen before it happens. It's even interesting when Twilight Sparkle's research jabs or makes fun of the show itself.
Here's the way I knew that I would like this show even from the first episode (WARNING: PLOT SPOILERS IN NEXT BLOCK OF TEXT)
SPARKLE: Take a note please - to the princess.
SPIKE: Oookie-dokie.
SPARKLE: "My dearest teacher, my continuing studies of pony magic have led me to discover that we are on the precipice of disaster."
SPIKE: Hold on... Preci---Preci...
SPARKLE: Threshold.
SPIKE: Thre...?
SPARKLE: Eh, brink?
SPIKE: *dumbfounded*
SPARKLE: Ugh! That something really bad is about to happen.
SPIKE: *Scribbles*
That part of the script made me feel included and reminded me that this isn't a show just for kids. It's for any age to enjoy because it will include higher levels of reasoning and humor so I won't feel bored to death watching something like Barney or having my intelligence insulted in Sesame Street.

I think the main issue is that it seems like you're forcing your interests on the rest of us here, whether we hate it or are indifferent toward it, in my case.
I also agree with Mark and Sarah - It is rather disconcerting that those of you who are fans of MLP feel the need to justify your interest in it.
That wouldn't be necessary if said fans weren't acting as if it's a part of their lives 24/7. We understand that it's a show you're interested in, but talking about it incessantly is rather excessive.

I'm neuder in this case but I'm going to lay some key points.
Haters are generally who never watched the show. (Watch, not looked at)
And usually they seem to hate on it when there is a Massive ammount, (Massive pony threads, or pony related material).
If people would calm down and not flame bait either side, we wouldn't have this issue.
