It's kinda like Alien Swarm with wizards.
You combine elements (water, arcane, fire, cold, earth, shield, life and lightning) to make them better (eg earth + lightning creates a fireball). 4 player co-op, too. For only £7.99!
I haven't played it that much, but I love it from what I've played. It gets as hard as f'uck at points. Like, I'm up to this bit where they keep rushing me, to which I can't do anything but spam self-shield, heal, and run away, except they keep killing me.

I got it a few hours ago. It's a lot of fun, although having to redo a level all the way from the start if you close the game / go play multiplayer sucks. Steam + Lightning + Arcane beam is pretty much the best combination right now (Q F A S (optional 3 more A or S) > hold right mouse button and watch everything die). The fact that you can add just about any spell to your melee weapon makes things a lot cooler too: steam + fire + earth + shield creates a line of volcanoes, while just using earth + shield would create a line of rocks. The amount of combinations is insane, and that's even without counting the "Magicks". Some parts are really hard though, even if you use the strongest combinations of attacks, mainly because lots of things can just kill you in 1 hit (or 2 if you use shields). About the most fun you can get out of $10 really. Meteor Shower in multiplayer is fun, as is crossing multiple beam attacks(yay for friendly fire?).

Magicka is the first game so far that i have been unable to play due to computer limitations.
Even other games that say you need a better card still work on my laptop, but Magicka just plain doesnt want to run.

Just finished the last 2 chapters with 2 friends. Amazing fun. Took some time to tell them that I was spamming Nullify to keep us from getting killed by the final boss, and then we pretty much spammed Vortex on eachother during the credits. Will do a New Game+ soon =D

Yeah, Nullify is way too damn good. The final boss was simple, though - I just spammed WALLL beam and cast an AoE shield every time he used the water attack.
I got this game when it came out and beat it on single player a while ago. If anyone wants to do some co-op, I'm up for that.
